Item Accesibilidad para personas con discapacidad visual en hoteles boutique de la ciudad de Cuenca. Análisis de casos: Hotel Mansión Alcázar y Hotel Santa Lucía(2015) Mejía Guaraca, Jackeline Monserrath; Galarza Torres, Marcela AlexandraThe present investigation is an analysis of accessibility for people with visual disabilities in Boutique Hotels in the city of Cuenca, for this had been selected two cases:MansiónAlcázar Hotel and SantaLucía Hotel. It was based on the "Guide to accessibility for people with visual disabilities" done by ONCE. This work consisted in a fieldwork, where each area from the hotels was studied following the parameters established in the guide, usinga rating system fulfill or non-fulfill. Therefore, the present investigation has the purpose of knowing the possible link between tourism and activities productive facilities as an alternative for sustainable development. For this, it was analyzed the perceptions of the actors associated and not associated with the tourist activity and their favorable and adverse conditions for the management of a responsible tourism model. In the first instance, a situational analysis of the site was carried out in relation to the use of its resources, through secondary information. In the second instance, it conducted semi-structured interviews (residents, public sector actors and private) in order to analyze their perception of tourism as a means of development sustainable for the venue. Finally, the favorable conditions were determined and adverse effects of productive activities for tourism management. After analysis, it Two substantial elements are concluded, the first: that both associated and non-associated actors associated with tourist activity, see tourism as an alternative activity and development, because they perceive the potentiality of the enclosure to be linked to the tourist activity. For its part, the second element establishes that within the productive activities of this enclosure, the collection of crabs is more susceptible to being linked to tourism, due to a greater rapprochement with actors of the public and private sector associated with tourism activity. However, one of the greatest limitations to consolidate a model of responsible tourism management, is poor planning, which is essential for the development of this activity. Keywords: tourism, sustainability, natural and cultural resources, activities agroproductive.Item Actividades turísticas que demandaron los jubilados Estadounidenses residentes en Cuenca-Ecuador, 2012(2013) Simbaña Sánchez, Yuleisy Mishell; Torres León, LeonardoThis study is an analysis of tourist activities utilized by American retirees living in Cuenca, Ecuador during 2012. It was based on fieldwork with a sample of 340 surveys. It analyzed the demand for tourist services that are recognized as tourist activities in Article 5 of the Law of Tourism in the Republic of Ecuador. This study had two parts: the first, sought to establish if American retirees utilized tourist services in the city in question, and the second, was a discussion of the definition of Residential Tourism. The results of the study established that 30% of American retirees utilized food and beverage services, as well as complementary activities, including shopping, cinema visits and cultural attractions. As a conclusion, it was determined that 26% of the sample represented American residential tourists living in Cuenca.Item Actualización de un Plan de Desarrollo Turístico para la parroquia Güel, en el cantón Sígsig(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-02) Baculima Morocho, Andrea Lorena; Vera Vera, Paola Salome; Galarza Cordero, Miguel ÁngelThis paper addresses the updating of the Tourism Development Plan for the rural parish of Güel, located in the canton of Sígsig, province of Azuay. The main objective is to promote local tourism by identifying and valuing tourist attractions, both natural and cultural. Participatory methodologies, including community workshops with local actors, were implemented to ensure that the proposed strategies reflect local needs and aspirations. The project seeks to promote sustainable economic development, improve the quality of life of the inhabitants and conserve the cultural heritage of the parish. The results show a high tourism potential in Güel, highlighting the need for adequate infrastructure, training and effective promotion to attract visitors and consolidate the parish as an emerging tourist destination in the region.Item Actualización del catastro de establecimientos turísticos de la cabecera cantonal de Gualaceo, Provincia del Azuay 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-11-30) Carrión Patiño, Débora Yolanda; Domínguez Morocho, Sonia Estefanía; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaThe main objective of this research was to update the cadaster of establishments that offer tourist services in the cantonal capital of Gualaceo, province of Azuay, in the year 2021. This update aims to contribute to the tourism planning of the territory in question, as well as to decision-making by the Decentralized Autonomous Government (GAD) of Gualaceo. Also, the cadaster means a benefit for the tourist because it communicates the options of tourist services that improve their experience when visiting Gualaceo. To update the cadaster, a model file was proposed for it, the data requested by the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) was taken as a starting point to those who register in the Tourist Cadaster, to this data such as the Single Taxpayer Registry (RUC), main and secondary activities, social networks of the establishment and denomination of the commercial premises were incorporated. By means of the field visit technique, using the simple observation method, the establishments to be registered were identified first-hand and then applied a structured interview to the owners, employees or managers of the different commercial premises. The intervention project showed as a general result 183 cadastral premises, of which 152 belong to the classification of food and beverages; 17 to the classification of accommodation and 14 to the classification of operation and intermediation, it should be noted that there are no exclusively tourist transport companies in the cantonal capital of Gualaceo. The 185 businesses have been classified into three divisions: tourist, potential and non-tourist. The tourist ones correspond to the establishments that are in the Tourist Cadaster of the MINTUR 2021, the potential ones are those that meet characteristics of location, infrastructure and service, in addition, of not being registered in the MINTUR. Finally, the non-tourist ones are the commercial premises that do not have the aforementioned attributes. Considering the above, in the classification of food and beverage businesses there are 17 tourist, 65 potential and 72 non-tourist. While in the classification of accommodation there are 9 tourist and 8 potential. Finally, in the classification of operation and intermediation there are 8 tourist and 6 potential. Business, operation and intermediation.Item Actualización del catastro turístico del cantón Santa Isabel, provincia del Azuay(2018) Jácome Aucay, Diana Patricia; Morales Calle, Jorge Israel; Estrella Durán, Mateo JuliánThis project entitled "Updating Tourism business Cadaster in Santa Isabel canton, Azuay province" has been developed with the purpose of contributing to the organization of the territory, besides the planning and decision making regarding the tourism industry. The tourism infrastructure in Santa Isabel is the combination of the various services necessary for the comfort of tourists, and therefore, they represent a fundamental element for the visitor's experience, an adequate control and management of the information will allow the progress and development of tourism industry in this area. The focus of the current intervention project, that is, the cadaster itself, and all the collected data, has been established according to the technical requirements established by various institutions, among others: The Ministry of Tourism and the municipality of Santa Isabel. The elaboration of the cadaster has been the result of bibliographic review, field visits and interviews that have permitted the accurate data collection and its subsequent processing. As a result of the research, the canton has 86 business in operation, 20 are lodging, 65 are food and beverage establishments, and finally, one is a travel agency. All the data obtained was compared with the information provided by the Municipality of Santa Isabel and the data provided by the Ministry of Tourism, both online and in direct interview with their staff. To achieve the objectives, the Methodology for the Hierarchy of Attractions and Generation of Tourist Spaces in Ecuador-2017 Ministry of Tourism was employed, through field observation, the reviewing of reports from secondary sources, semi- structured interviews with Autonomous Decentralized Parish Government authorities and in the local community. Danilo Barreto, director of the Department of Community Development of Biblián, this work entitled "Updating the inventory of tourist attractions of Biblián canton, Cañar province" to carried out with the purpose of registering and generating a tool for future projects aimed at strengthening and boosting tourism activity in canton Cañar" with the purpose of registering and generating a tool for future projects aimed at strengthening and boosting tourism activity in the canton. This intervention project was carried out considering the criteria set forth in the Methodology for the Hierarchization of Attractions and Generation of Tourist Spaces of Ecuador proposed by the Ministry of Tourism. The Decentralized Autonomous Municipal Government of Biblián identified 33 tourist resources, which, after the application of the methodology resulted in 18 tourist attractions, of which 12 are categorized as cultural manifestations and 6 as natural attractions. Thus, the canton has been determined as an area and potential tourist center due to the conditions it presents, which are detailed on maps drawn with ArcGIS software version 10.4.1, as well as in the attached inventory sheets.Item Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos del Cantón Cañar con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo (2017)(2020-06-01) Ávila Ortiz, Claudia Alexandra; Medina Sánchez, Andrea Elizabeth; Eljuri Jaramillo, María IsabelCañar canton possesses an inventory of tourist attractions done in 2004 with the IDOM and CETUR methodologies, in this way, the need of the project “Updating of the tourist attractions inventory of Cañar with the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism (2017)” arises in order to organize the attractions into a hierarchy and generate tourist places of Ecuador of Ministry of Tourism of 2017. In 2018, this methodology had some variations, with the main objective of establishing a planning tool in order to strengthen the tourist development and revitalize the economy of the canton, taking advantage of the natural and cultural attractions which are the raw material of a territory that generates interest for visitors. The Ministry of Tourism delegates the autonomous decentralized local governments to elaborate and update the inventory of tourist attractions; in this way, the local intercultural government of Cañar identified 25 possible tourist attractions; however, when doing the field visits, revisions of primary and secondary sources and the application of the criteria of the systematized specifications, it was determined that the canton counts in 23 tourist attractions, being 8 of natural type and 15 of the cultural one; reason why, Cañar has been designated as “Archeological and Cultural capital of Ecuador”. Therefore, the canton meets the optimal conditions and presents three centers and a potential tourist area, portrayed in maps which were done with ArcGis program version 10.3. Moreover, a comparative chart between the former and the current inventory is presented.Item Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Chordeleg, provincia del Azuay con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo (2018)(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-09-24) Medina Duchitanga, Jessica Viviana; Villa Villa, Jenny Alexandra; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaThe present graduation work entitled "Update of the tourist attractions inventory of Chordeleg canton province of Azuay with the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism (2018)", in which through criteria established in the manual allowed to record the necessary information, mostly collected through interviews made to internal primary sources throughout the canton. The development of this project consists of 3 chapters, in which the conceptual framework with the terms to be used throughout the thesis is released as the first instance, the same way the most relevant information of the canton was collected, detailing each of the five parishes and identifying the potential tourist attractions with which it counts and that could be exploited. In the second chapter, the field work was carried out to know the exact location of the natural and cultural attractions of greatest importance to each parish, in order to classify, inventory them and obtain the weighting value, as well as the level of hierarchy in which they are located, concluding with an analysis of the data obtained. Finally, in the third chapter the association of tourist attractions, classification of tourist space and geographical systematization of the registration cards was carried out, using Google Earth Pro and ArcGIS pieces of software, for the correct generation of maps and the respective location of tourist attractions.Item Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Cuenca con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo, 2018(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-10-15) Vera Rea, Karen Nicole; Villa Pérez, Paola Estefanía; Espinoza Figueroa, Freddy EdgarThis project addresses the inventory updating of tourist attractions in Cuenca canton, using the methodology of tourist attractions promulgated by the Ministry of Tourism. In the first instance, a diagnosis of the territory and the tourism system was carried out using secondary information. Subsequently, 92 tourist attractions and 14 resources were registered; from this information they were weighted and put in hierarchies according to the methodological criteria. Then the attractions were associated and the tourist space was typified. In addition, a focus group of experts was conducted with a focus on the hierarchy of attractions, since the data sheet proposed by the Ministry of Tourism has inconsistencies in weighting. Through this inventory it is possible to manage ab optimal tourist planning for the generation of new enterprises, with the purpose of turning Tourism into a sustainable Economic activity for the Guachapaleña population. For the execution of the project, a situational diagnosis of the canton was carried out through the analysis of information in primary and secondary sources, dialogues with the competent authorities, the population and tourism entrepreneurs. This information sewed for the survey and generation of the inventory itself, as well as the field visits that generated the photographic evidence. This inventory will help the territorial planning of the space where the attraction and its population is located. The canton did not have an updated inventory, therefore, an agreement was made between the authors of this research and the Municipal GAD, for the elaboration of the intervention work, using the Methodology of the Ministry of Tourism (2018). In the first instance, the attractions were identified, then the information was gathered, as well as the weighting and hierarchy of the attractions; and the association and typification of tourist spaces was generated, through the Geographic Information System (GIS) tool and finally, the inventory of tourist attractions was socialized with the Department of Tourism of the Municipality GAD of Gualaquiza.Item Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Paute según la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo 2017(2020-02-17) Anguisaca Rojas, Karla Vanessa; Salto Encalada, Jacqueline Marlene; Barzallo Neira, Cristina AndreaThe present intervention project entitled Updating the inventory of tourist attractions in Paute canton according to the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism 2017 represents an information tool, which identifies sites of tourist interest and prioritizes those that present the best conditions to receive visitors, therefore, it is a basis for tourism planning in the canton. The Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GADs) have several competencies in the tourism field, one of them is to maintain an updated Inventory of tourist attractions. Paute canton has an inventory of attractions elaborated with the Ministry of Tourism methodology of 2004, in which twenty-two attractions were identified; however, in 2017 a new Methodology was issued. This project updates the Inventory under this methodology and takes as base the information of the previous inventory, the Development Plans and Territorial Ordination, and complements it with interviews with presidents and personnel in charge of the tourist area of each one of the parish GADs and some of the local population; with it 54 sites of tourist interest are identified, 22 correspond to tourist attractions and 32 are tourist resources.Item Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón San Felipe de Oña con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo (2018)(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-09-24) Campoverde Bravo, Joseline Camila; Sangurima Quito, Edgar Román; López Molina, DianaThe Ministry of Tourism, which is the regulatory authority for the tourist activity at national level and the Organic Code of Territorial Organization, Autonomy and Decentralization (COOTAD) that indicates tourism as a productive activity that can be managed by different levels of government delegates to Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GAD) the regulation, control and promotion the tourist development of the district. Based on the mentioned provisions, this intervention project titled ¨Updating of the tourist attraction inventory of San Felipe de Oña with the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism (2018)¨ was based on a previous inventory done in 2016, which it determined a 56 total attractions. Therefore, this project was developed along with San Felipe de Oña GAD technicians, who participated in the development of the previous inventory. Currently, due to on-site visits and secondary information, it has been decided to establish a 22 attractions inventory, of which 11 of them are set in the cultural manifestation category and the remaining 11 are identified as natural attractions. After selecting and including them in the updated inventory, using the ArcGis 10.5 version tool, the maps were designed and this determinate that San Felipe de Oña canton has three potential centers and one potential area, based on the information contained in the data sheets and the location and distribution of the attractions proposed on the maps.Item Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Santa Isabel con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo (2018)(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-08-20) Jiménez Ordóñez, Erika Yadira; Espinoza Díaz, Ivannova María; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaThe present intervention work entitled “Updating the inventory of Tourist Attractions in Santa Isabel Canton of the Province of Azuay with the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism 2018”, is an indispensable fool for tourism planning of the territory since upon this updating it is possible to elaborate plans and projects for tourism developed of the canton, which will contribute to the economy, improving the living conditions of the local community and at the same time generating the protection of natural and cultural spaces so that they last over time, so they are not lost with the new generations. The municipal GAD of Santa Isabel does not have and inventory of tourist attractions of the canton, only some of them are known at a local and provincial level so it is necessary to create a register that serves as a basic for the development of tourism. The methodology used in the intervention project was developed by the Ministry of Tourism (2018) in which the conditions and characteristics of the tourist attractions are recorded in files and these spaces are generated through their association with the application of ARCGIS software, which allows the interaction of attractions in the canton to be understood.Item Actualización del Inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Santiago de la Provincia de Morona Santiago con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo 2017(2019-07-25) Villavicencio Villavicencio, Jennifer Mariela; Eljuri Jaramillo, María IsabelThe present intervention work entitled "Updating the Inventory tourist attractions of canton Santiago in the province of Morona Santiago with the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism 2017", is an important tool for future tourist developments in the canton of Santiago, updating the inventory will allow planning and generating tourism projects that will help to boost the economy of the territory and to mitigate possible negative effects, and this in turn will lead to the discovery of the natural and cultural beauty of the canton. Currently, canton Santiago belonging to the province of Morona Santiago does not count on an updated inventory of tourist attractions; however, in the parish territorial arrangement planning of the canton's , some attractions with greater frequency of visit are mentioned, that is why there is the need for updating the inventory of the canton Santiago tourist attractions with the methodology of the Ministry of Tourism, 2017. In this project of intervention, the use of the methodology of tourism 2017 allowed the identification, classification and valuation of the attractions with the best conditions for the development of tourist products resulting in twenty nine attractions.Item Actualización del Inventario de atractivos turísticos del cantón Sevilla de Oro con aplicación de la nueva metodología del ministerio de turismo del Ecuador, 2017(2020-06-04) Mayancela Jimbo, Maria Catalina; Reinoso Naula, Andrea Estefania; Espinoza Figueroa, Freddy EdgarThis study exposes the inventory of tourist attractions of Sevilla de Oro, canton of the province of Azuay, as a basic tool for tourism planning considering that it allows to recognize the natural and cultural attractions that each of the parishes has; in addition, it is an element that contributes to the territorial planning of the space in which each attraction is found and the neighboring population, taking into account that tourism and territory cannot be separated from each other. The geographic space of study did not have this tool and according to the methodology of inventories proposed by the governing body of Ecuador, this project was proposed by both, the cantonal authorities and the academy. Attractions were inventoried, then classified, weighted and hierarchized, after resorted to zoning and grouping tourist attractions in different territorial spaces. As a result of this project, ten of the fifteen attractions offered by the cantonal government were obtained, because some of them are considered only resources. Out of the ten attractions, two are cultural and eight are natural, including the hydroelectric dams of the Paute-Integral project. Finally, the information obtained will be used by the cantonal GAD for tourism planning and management projects.Item Actualización del inventario de atractivos turísticos naturales y culturales del cantón El Pan, provincia del Azuay y con la metodología del Ministerio de Turismo (2018)(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-05-19) Condo Carabajo, Viviana Fernanda; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaIn this work, the inventory of attractions of canton el Pan, Azuay province was updated, applying Ecuador's Ministry of Tourism methodology (2018), which consisted of identifying information through the weighting, hierarchy and accessibility, determining that there are twelve attractive resources and sixteen. Subsequently, the classification of attractions was developed concluding that 5 correspond to cultural manifestations and 11 to natural attractions; through the hierarchy form it was established that eleven correspond to the hierarchy I and five correspond to hierarchy II. In addition, considering factors such as: area, time, connectivity and characteristics of the sites analyzed (road information systems layer, hydrographic network, tourist cadasters) the typification of the space was carried out al El Pan canton. Finally, a tourist route is proposed detailing: itinerary, costs and map, considering the current situation in the face of SARS-Cov-2.
