    Relación entre satisfacción sexual y dependencia emocional en estudiantes de la carrera de Odontología de la Universidad de Cuenca, en el período 2022- 2023

    Sexual satisfaction is understood as the well-being and balance that exists between two people. It has a physical and an affective element to carry out an analysis of the pleasure received through sexual and affective relations; However, this last element often turns into an extreme affective need towards the couple as a result of an emotional dependence exercisedin interpersonal relationships. The objective of this research was to relate the levels of sexual satisfaction and the levels of emotional dependence in university students who are in the seventh cycle of the Dentistry career at the University of Cuenca, in the period 2022-2023. A study with a quantitative approach was carried out with a non-experimental design, cross- sectional and correlational in scope. For the collection of information, the New Sexual Satisfaction Scale and the Emotional Dependency Questionnaire were applied to a sample of 72 students. The results showthat there is a greater predominance of high sexual satisfaction in the students, as well as a greater supremacy of a normal emotional condition, that is, there is no emotional dependence in the participants. A negative correlation was also found between levels of sexual satisfaction and levels of emotional dependence. In conclusion, there is no significant relationship between sexual satisfaction and emotional dependence.
