Item Funcionalidad familiar en pacientes con conducta adictiva en el Centro Especializado en tratamiento a personas con consumo problemático de alcohol y otras drogas, voluntad y fortaleza y hacia una nueva vida en Cuenca, en el período 2022-2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-10-30) Cajamarca Carchipulla, José Alejandro; Abad Guayacondo, Kevin Andrés; Samaniego Chalco, María JoséFunctionality within the family is understood as the system's capacity to confront and resolve a crisis while promoting the development and growth of all its family members. However, this functionality can be impaired by various risk factors such as addiction. Therefore, the scientific community encourages working on the variables that influence family functionality during the treatment of addicted patients, considering it a key factor in their recovery. The objective of this research was to describe the categories of family functionality according to sociodemographic variables in inpatient patients at the Specialized Centers for the Treatment of People with Problematic Alcohol and Other Drug Consumption (CETAD) "Voluntad y Fortaleza" and "Hacia una nueva vida." The study was conducted with a quantitative approach, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional descriptive design, and involved 48 patients with addictive behavior who were admitted to the aforementioned CETAD centers. The Perception of Family Functioning FF-SIL Test and a sociodemographic questionnaire were applied. The results indicate that in the CETAD centers, the majority of patients who perceive their families as moderately functional are without a partner, experience job instability, have primary education, and have been admitted at least once. In conclusion, the levels of family functionality vary depending on the degree of influence of addiction on the sociodemographic variables of the patients, such as marital status, occupation, education, and number of admissions.
