Item Determinación de la madurez intelectual global en niños de 3 a 5 años de la Escuela Ignacio Escandón, mediante la batería BADYG, Cuenca-Ecuador, 2019(2019-12-19) Calderón Román, Karla Priscila; Pauta Ortiz, Andrea Cristina; Lucio Bravo, Miriam AlexandraGlobal Intellectual Maturity, is the capacity for the understanding and resolution of problems, learning and mental acuity, is conditioned by extrinsic factors of the subject and the experiences that the subject lives through its development and growth, through brain plasticity, which is important to strengthen children's development and prevent future deficits. The study is descriptive, cross-cutting and prospective. Evaluations were prepared for children between the ages of 3 and 5 who attend the Ignacio Escandón School. The General and Differential Skills Battery (BADYG-I) was used as a means of evaluation. The population was made up of 87 participants, as results we obtained that within the Global Intellectual Maturity 44.8% of the total population is in the range between 3 and 5 years. The predominant chronological age is 5 years with 35.6% at the mean level, in the male sex 26.4%, in rural residence 44.8%, secondary maternal instruction 26.4%, and secondary paternal instruction 19.5%. Deficits or delays in learning are not always easy to detect, until the school stage begins, being important to evaluate early each of the skills, intellectual aptitudes and to know strengths or weaknesses in early childhood. The use of the BADyG/i test allows us to know the level of children's intellectual maturity. Objective: To determine the general intellectual maturity in boys and girls from 5 to 6 years old of the Francisca Arízaga Toral Educational Unit, through the application of the Differentials and Generals Aptitudes Battery / Level i - BADyG/i. Methodology: Prospective descriptive observational quantitative study of children aged 5-6 years from the Francisca Arízaga Toral school. Data collection was carried out through the application of BADyG/i, and the results were obtained using the following statistical software: IBM SPSS 22.0 free version, Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft Word 2019. Results: Of the total population investigated, 51.0% correspond to the male sex, of which 16.3% presented a Very Low General Intellectual Maturity Level; 49.0% belong to the female sex, with 12.2% at both Very Low and Medium levels. According to age, 53.1% belonged to the range of 6 years to 6 years 11 months. In general, 28.6% of the population presented a very low level of general intellectual maturity.Item Evaluación de las habilidades psicolingüisticas de los niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años de edad de la Parroquia San Joaquín – centro parroquial, Cuenca 2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-07-28) Apolo Herrera, Carol Andrea; Lozano Ceron, Cindy Pamela; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraChild neurodevelopment is a complex process that begins from conception and evolves systematically, it will develop and maximize during the first years of life, if adequate stimulation is provided. However; not all children have the resources and opportunities to enhance their abilities, for this reason, we saw the need to evaluate the preschoolers of the San Joaquín parish – Centro Parroquial using the instrument of evaluation Test Illinois of Psycholinguistic Aptitudes (ITPA). General objetive Evaluate the psycholinguistic abilities of boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 5 from the San Joaquín - Centro Parroquial. Methodology A quantitative study of a prospective descriptive and observational type, which was carried out on boys and girls between 4 and 5 years of age who belong to the San Joaquín - Centro Parroquial, using the ITPA test, Cuenca 2020. For analysis and tabulation of results, it was used the program: IBM SPSS version 23 Spanish free, Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft Word 2019. Results The study was carried out with a sample of 90 participants, of which 52.2% are female and 47.8% male; of the total of the children evaluated, 48.9% show an adequate psycholinguistic level for their chronological age, 31.1% present a higher psycholinguistic level for their chronological age and only 20.0% present a psycholinguistic level lower than their chronological age.Item Evaluación del aprendizaje y desarrollo infantil a través del Test TADI en niños y niñas de 3 meses a 6 años del Centro de Desarrollo Infantil CEDIUC y del aula de estimulación temprana y tutorías preescolares de la Universidad de Cuenca, abril - julio 2022.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-09-09) Luzuriaga Andrade, María José; Mendoza León, Jeniffer Tatiana; Clavijo, María IsabelBackground: Psychomotor development is a consecutive process that takes place from conception to maturity, in which the person acquires skills through learning and exploration of their environment considering their evolutionary rhythm, physical condition and the context in which they develop. This research evaluated children through the “Test de Aprendizaje y Desarrollo Infantil (TADI)”. Objective: To determine the categories of global learning and child development through the “Test de Aprendizaje y Desarrollo Infantil TADI” for children attending the “Centro de Desarrollo Infantil CEDIUC” and the “Aula de Estimulación Temprana y Tutorías Preescolares” of the “Universidad de Cuenca”. Methodology: Study conducted on 61 children aged 3 months to 6 years. The SPSS25 program was used to compile the information and for the statistical analysis of the variables, measures of central tendency, frequencies and percentages were used. Results: The 62.3% were male, of these 55.3% were in a normal learning and development category. The 36.1% were 2 to 3 years old, 67.2% of the parents had a higher level of education, a 52.5% came from a nuclear family and 47.5% had a typical average socioeconomic level. Conclusions: According to the results of the evaluation with the TADI in children from 3 months to 6 years of age, the majority of the population present normal learning and development.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor de niños/as de 3 meses a 5 años en el Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella. Cuenca 2019(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-08-20) Morocho Segarra, Johanna Maricela; Quizhpi Guerrero, María Fernanda; Lucio Bravo, Miriam AlexandraBackground: Psychomotor development is a process in which the child acquires skills in different areas of development, the first 5 years of life are crucial; therefore, the purpose of this research was to evaluate the development of children at the “Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella" applying the Child Learning and Development Test (TADI). Objective: To determine the level of development and learning in children from 3 months to 5 years who attend to the “Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella” Methodology: This is a descriptive, transverse research carried out on 90 children from 3 months to 5 years old at “Centro de Salud “Mariano Estrella”. The Child Learning and Development Test (TADI) was applied. The SPSS 22 and Microsoft Excel programs were used to collect the information, and for the statistical analysis, frequencies and percentages according to variables. Results: The highest percentage of children was: male with 57.8%, ranging from 12 months 1 day to 24 months with 32%. A total of 43.3% presented normal development, 60% were between the ages of 3 months 1 day to 12 months. In relation to the type of family and level of education, a higher percentage of normal development was found in the single-parent family and in children whose parents had higher education.Item Evaluación del nivel de madurez intelectual general, a través de la batería Badyg-i, en niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años de la Unidad Educativa "Carlos Zambrano", Cuenca, 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-09-06) Criollo Carabajo, Sthefany Paola; Jara Puglla, Manuel Cayetano; Isabel Clavijo, MariaThe general intellectual maturity of infants is the result of the interaction of internal and external factors, the same ones that influence the development of various capacities for an adequate learning process, which is why it is considered important to demonstrate the level of intellectual maturity, since this allows us to know the ability to function in cognitive skills, the same ones that make up an optimal basis for formal education. OBJECTIVE: To determine the level of general intellectual maturity, through the BADYG-I battery, in boys and girls aged 4 to 5 years from the "Carlos Zambrano" Educational Unit. METHODOLOGY: The research is quantitative and descriptive. The study population was boys and girls from 4 to 5 years of age from the “Carlos Zambrano” Educational Unit. For the collection of information, the application of the BADYG-I Battery was carried out, as well as the administration of the data collection form. For the analysis and tabulation of data, the statistical program SPSS VERSION 24 FREE, Microsoft Word and Excel 2016. USE OF RESULTS: The results obtained will be published in the Repository of the University of Cuenca for academic purposes. CONCLUSIONS: The present investigation had the participation of 72 students from the Educational Unit "Carlos Zambrano", as a result it was obtained that 41.7% presented a medium high level of intellectual maturity and 9.7% showed a medium low level. Boys and girls from 4 to 5 years old.Item Evaluación del procesamiento sensorial de niños y niñas de inicial y primero de básica que asisten a la Unidad Educativa Zoila Esperanza Palacio, Cuenca 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-01-04) Mogrovejo Barros, Mónica Marlene; López León, María José; Huiracocha Tutivén, Mirian SofíaBackground: Preschool education and first grade of primary education both help students acquire basic skills for reading, writing, and calculation; therefore, the development of sensory processing is essential for learning. The Covid-19 pandemic led to educational processes lacking sensory stimulation, which affected their learning. Therefore, there is a need to determine the sensory profile of preschool and first grade children at Zoila Esperanza Palacio school, using Winnie Dunn´s Sensory Profile Questionnaire 2. Objective: To assess the sensory processing of preschool and first grade children who attend Zoila Esperanza Palacio school, using Winnie Dunn´s Sensory Profile Questionnaire 2. Methods: This is a descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional study. Data was collected by applying Winnie Dunn´s Sensory Profile Questionnaire 2 and its data collection form. For tabulation and statistical analysis, IBM SPSS Statistics V.22, and Microsoft Excel 2013 were used. Results: 73,9% of children showed typical sensory processing performance; 26,1% showed sensory alterations: males were the most affected (21,5%) and those from 4 years to 4 years and 11 months were the most affected in regard to age (12,5%); 15,9% of them were preschool students. Conclusions: 26,1% of children attending Zoila Esperanza Palacio school showed sensory processing issues.
