Abstract
Childhood intellectual maturity refers to the development of the child's potential, which
depends on the hereditary endowment and the environment. Deficits or delays in
learning are not always easy to detect, until the school stage begins, being important
to evaluate early each of the skills, intellectual aptitudes and to know strengths or
weaknesses in early childhood. The use of the BADyG/i test allows us to know the
level of children's intellectual maturity.
Objective:
To determine the general intellectual maturity in boys and girls from 5 to 6 years old of
the Francisca Arízaga Toral Educational Unit, through the application of the
Differentials and Generals Aptitudes Battery / Level i - BADyG/i.
Methodology:
Prospective descriptive observational quantitative study of children aged 5-6 years
from the Francisca Arízaga Toral school. Data collection was carried out through the
application of BADyG/i, and the results were obtained using the following statistical
software: IBM SPSS 22.0 free version, Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft Word 2019.
Results:
Of the total population investigated, 51.0% correspond to the male sex, of which 16.3%
presented a Very Low General Intellectual Maturity Level; 49.0% belong to the female
sex, with 12.2% at both Very Low and Medium levels. According to age, 53.1%
belonged to the range of 6 years to 6 years 11 months. In general, 28.6% of the
population presented a very low level of general intellectual maturity.
Resumen
Antecedentes
La madurez intelectual infantil hace referencia al desenvolvimiento de las
potencialidades del niño y niña, lo cual depende de la dotación hereditaria y el
ambiente. Los déficits o retrasos en el aprendizaje no siempre son fáciles de detectar,
sino hasta que se empieza la etapa escolar, siendo importante evaluar
tempranamente cada una de las habilidades, aptitudes intelectuales y conocer
fortalezas o debilidades en la primera infancia. El uso del test BADyG/i nos da a
conocer el nivel de madurez intelectual infantil.
Objetivo:
Determinar la madurez intelectual general en niños y niñas de 5 a 6 años de la Unidad
Educativa Francisca Arízaga Toral, mediante la aplicación de la Batería de Aptitudes
Diferenciales y Generales / Nivel i – BADyG/i.
Metodología:
Estudio cuantitativo de tipo observacional descriptivo prospectivo, a niños y niñas de
5-6 años de la escuela Francisca Arízaga Toral. La recolección de datos se realizó por
medio de la aplicación de BADyG/i, y en los resultados se utilizó el programa
estadístico: IBM SPSS 22.0 versión gratuita, Microsoft Excel 2019 y Microsoft Word
2019.
Resultados:
De la totalidad de la población investigada el 51,0% corresponden al sexo masculino,
de los cuales el 16.3% presentó un Nivel de Madurez Intelectual General Muy Bajo; el
49.0% pertenece al sexo femenino, con el 12.2% tanto a nivel Muy Bajo, como a nivel
Medio. Según la edad, el 53.1% pertenece al rango de 6 años a 6 años 11 meses. De
manera general el 28.6% de la población presentó un nivel de madurez Intelectual
General Muy Bajo.
