(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-06-01) Godoy González, Hernán Yordano; Delgado Espinoza, Ana Cristina
Volleyball is a sport in which several technical gestures are executed, the optimal sport development of each athlete will depend on the correct initiation and learning of each of them, thus providing superiority at the time of the game. The objective of this study was the elaboration and evaluation of a practical guide of playful exercises for the development of low volleyball in order to create a useful tool in the initiation of volleyball in children from 8 to 11 years old in our context. The study had a research approach in which the skills in the execution of the technical gesture of low volleyball were evaluated by means of a pre-test prior to the application of the guide and a post-test after the application, these were a technical-tactical test that assesses the serve receipts, and to assess the technique itself, an adaptation of an observation sheet of low volleyball to our context was made, which was endorsed by experts. The sample consisted of 21 children belonging to the Unidad Educativa Técnico Salesiano, the intervention program consisted of demonstrating the effectiveness of the application of the practical guide by assessing the improvement in the technical gesture of the children. For the methodology, the data collected were migrated to Exel and the IBM SPSS program version 20 was used for statistical comparison, the Wilcoxon test was applied to demonstrate the comparison between pre-test and post-test. These results showed significant improvements in the technique, with more than 70% of the participants obtaining good scores in the post-test, in comparison with regular scores in the pre-test being demonstrated in the Wilcoxon test with a value of p<0.001. With this said, the efficacy of the practical guide has been demonstrated.

(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-25) Ortiz Quizhpi, Jaime Omar; Vásquez Bustos, Jonnathan Fernando; Delgado Espinoza, Ana Cristina
The objective of the study is to analyze the different variables of the serve (zone of origin of the serve, type of serve, direction of the serve, and receiving player) related to the effectiveness of this technical-tactical action, in the senior-amateur male category of the volleyball team of the University of Cuenca in the first inter-university championship. A total of 250 serving actions were analyzed in which the variables corresponding to the zone of origin, receiving player, direction, type and effectiveness of the serve were measured in order to determine a tendency in this technical gesture, with these results a software was used to statistically analyze these actions. The methodology used was indirect systematic observation, a nomothetic, punctual and multidimensional observational design was configured, characterized by enabling synchronous analysis of the different variables; and for the statistical analysis of the same the Lince software was used, in turn an inferential analysis was performed in SPSS to determine numerically the technical and tactical elements of post-game volleyball because this application has limitations such as analysis in real time. Finally, having obtained the results, an expository workshop for volleyball coaches was implemented to train other coaches and improve their training profile.

Efecto de ejercicios pliométricos modificados en voleibol categoría 13-15 años masculino
    (2023) Coronel Rosero, Claudio Xavier
Volleyball studies in male pre-adolescents are scarce but important to maintain competitiveness in sports tournaments. The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of a specific plyometric exercise program using sports implements to improve explosive strength in 13–15-year-old volleyball players. There were two groups: a control group (CG, n=12) and an experimental group (EG, n=13). The CG performed a conventional plyometric program and the GE a plyometric program with implements (jump trainer, resistance harness, resistance bands, etc.) for a period of twelve weeks. Pre-intervention and post-intervention jumping ability was assessed using the Block Jump, Attack Jump, Abalakov and Squat Jump tests. T-tests and Cohen's test were applied to identify statistical differences in jumping and intervention effect size (TE). Both groups presented a gain in jumping ability in the 4 tests, however the only statistically significant gain was presented in the Abalakov test (p=0.02), specifically the gain was 5.415±2.60cm and a TE=0.54 (median effect) for the GE and 3.066±2.63cm and a TE of 0.73 (median effect) for the GC. It is concluded that the plyometric exercise program with implements improved the vertical jump measured with the Abalakov Test, which better simulates game conditions. It is advisable to continue with studies focused on explosive strength in this age group, considering the sports experience and physiologi-cal development of the individual; it is also important that training programs include other components (e.g., strength and speed training, nutrition-al advice, and/or mental health) that could influence explosive strength
