    Violencia psicológica en parejas de estudiantes de tercero y quinto ciclo de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas en la carrera de Medicina de la Universidad de Cuenca-Azuay, periodo 2024-2025

    The present research entitled Psychological violence in couples of third and fifth cycle students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in the career of Medicine of the University of CuencaAzuay, period 2024-2025; addresses psychological violence in couple relationships in university students, exploring its relationship with sociodemographic variables such as sex, age, time of relationship and academic cycle. The general objective of this study is to determine the level of psychological violence in university couples of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, in the career of Medicine of the University of Cuenca, Azuay, period 2024-2025. For this, a quantitative, descriptive and transversal design was used; applying a structured questionnaire to a sample of 83 students of Medicine, between 18 and 25 years old; the research on psychological violence in couples of Medicine students at the University of Cuenca found that the predominant level of psychological violence was low (67.46%), followed by a regular level (31.33%) and high in a lower proportion. The most frequent dimension was Blaming, with a significant relationship with respect to the length of the relationship, while Threats was the least reported. The results show that shorter relationships and students in initial cycles presented a higher frequency of psychological violence. In terms of gender, males reported higher levels of psychological violence in almost all the relationships.
