Item Relación entre clima social familiar y autoconcepto en estudiantes de Educación General Básica Superior de la Unidad Educativa Carlos Rigoberto Vintimilla en Cuenca, periodo 2022-2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-07-17) Ríos Crespo, Ana Belén; Aguilar Sizer, Mónica ElisaThe family social climate is the perception that each of the family members has about the quality of their relationships. Meanwhile, self-concept refers to the subjective perception that people have about themselves, their apabilities and their limitations. These variables have a significant influence on the development of human beings throughout their lives, especially during adolescence. Therefore, the main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the dimensions of family social climate and the dimensions of self- concept in students of higher basic general education of the Carlos Rigoberto Vintimilla Educational Unit in Cuenca, period 2022-2023. The study had a quantitative approach, non- experimental design and correlational scope. A sample of 55 students was used. The instruments used were: the Family Social Climate Scale of Moos, R, Moos and Trickett and the Self-Concept Scale Form 5 of García and Musitu. The results showed that in the study population the development dimension of the family social climate variable predominates (M=30) and in self-concept, the lowest scores were obtained in the family dimension (M=27.24). It is concluded that there is a correlation between the family social climate dimensions and the self-concept dimensions; however, this correlation is not present in all dimensions.
