Item Cuento infantil ilustrado basado en un abordaje teórico estético del surrealismo de Leonora Carrington(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-12-15) Aguilar Pinos, María Isabel; Calle Bustos, Víctor GeovannyTraditionally, people think that children's literature is only fantastic narrative, however, from 1943 to 2011 in Mexico lived the surrealist artist of Anglo-Saxon origin Leonora Carrington, who upset this conception. The present work aimed to elaborate a story with children's illustrations based on the surrealist aesthetics of the aforementioned artist. For this, the main theoretical and aesthetic references of surrealism have been considered. Then Carrington's work has been identified with regard to illustration in general and children's illustration in particular. Regarding the artist, her running away from the aristocracy and her looking for refuge in art stand out as latent autobiographical elements of her work. From this topic, she has designed an illustrated story with the graphite and charcoal technique that will be reinforced with a digitization process. Carrington constitutes a surrealist referent that subtly addresses the universal problematic of the oppression of the female gender that influences the search for emancipation.
