Item Acercamiento a la interpretación de la obra Introducción y Rondo Caprichoso Op.28 de Camilo Saint Saëns, mediante un estudio comparativo editorial y fonográfico(2018) Cárdenas Ochoa, Jéssica Lourdes; Vergara Saula, William RenéThe present study, worked with obtIaining a close interpretation of the work Introduction and Rondó Caprichoso Op.28 by Camilo Saint Saëns, through a comparative editorial study and phonographically linked to a musical analysis of the work. At the start referent aspects of musical structure are discussed along with the harmony, melody, rhythm, orquestration, etc, and later, there is a deeper understanding of of the comparative editorial and phonographic, where a deeper understanding of specific interpretive aspects of both violinists taken as referents for this work. In the editorial works an analysis and comparison of aspects such as articulatory suggestions, digitizations, the way the bow is used, and in the phonographic works the use of sound and the election of timing were analyzed for the use and productions of different sections of the work.Item Acercamiento a los elementos compositivos y pianísticos del pasillo para piano Agur del compositor Henry Alvarez(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-01-06) Alvarez Matute, Henry Emanuel; Bueno Escobar, Julio DaríoThe present document it´s about an approach to compositional structures, to establish musical elements that will serve in the understanding and pianistic interpretation of the work. By recognizing these elements, characteristics of Ecuadorian musical folklore can be identified, fused with styles, techniques and academic structures of the nationalist current. This work carries out a qualitative study, because the Agur pasillo is an observable fact designed to make specific points of view known in piano performance in various aspects such as compositional style, shape, texture, agogic, dynamics, etc. On which the recommendations that require a clear, clean and balanced acoustic production will be made. It is necessary to remember that there is no information regarding the academic Agur pasillo, because it belongs to the authority of Henry Alvarez, a composition completed approximately in the year 2017, so this work serves as a source that allows us to understand the musical conception of the work, the historical context on which it was based for its composition which addresses the style, form and compositional processes extracting the musical elements that are present in it.Item Acercamiento analítico musical al repertorio discográfico de la agrupación folklórica chordelense Sangre Criolla, período 1992-2018(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-09-07) Serrano Idrovo, José David; Alvarado Delgado, Jannet EmperatrizThe present research work took place in Chordeleg which is a town that belongs to the province of Azuay in Ecuador. This investigation work is based on the knowledge acquired in the musical area of the folk group “Sangre Criolla”. It is important to mention that this musical group belongs and lives in this place. In this context, the degree work entitled "Musical analytical approach to the record repertoire of the chordelense group Sangre Criolla, period 1992-2018" was proposed. For this study, the sociocultural environment, history, musical trajectory of the group and its contribution to the national repertoire have been considered; Likewise, technical transcriptions of various themes from his discography were elaborated, detailing melodic and harmonic fragments of each one. Based on this information, a theoretical-practical work is developed whose objective is to provide an academic contribution to Ecuadorian music.Item Actualización de obras musicales populares ecuatorianas en el contexto contemporaneo(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Artes, 2026-01-28) Rodas Bonilla, Esteban Andres; Ortega Cedillo, Nelson DaríoThe research seeks to explore and reinterpret the rich Ecuadorian musical heritage through the adaptation of two emblematic works by maestro Corsino Durán. This composer, known for his nationalist style and his ability to fuse folkloric elements from contemporary techniques, offers a repertoire that reflects the cultural identity of Ecuador, highlighting the pieces Anacu Ruju and Chaquiñán, which still resonate in the soundscape of the country. The work will focus on the adaptation of these works for guitar duo, allowing a new interpretation that broadens their accessibility and appreciation. Through this process, it is intended not only to honor Durán's legacy, but also to encourage interest in contemporary ecuadorian music.Item Adaptación de ejercicios del método número 1 para guitarra de Julio Sagreras a través de la Musicografía Braille(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-02-09) Guamán Parra, José Daniel; Ortega Cedillo, Nelson DaríoThe purpose of this research project is to create support material that allows people with visual disabilities to learn and develop the technique for playing the guitar, using the high-relief musical writing system called Braille Musicography. For this reason, the musical nomenclature of the Braille system (Braille Musicography) is presented in which each musical sign, figure are represented by the combination of six points in high relief arranged in two columns of three rows within a cell. Finally, the adaptation of 49 exercises of method number 1 for guitar by Julio Sagreras to Braille Musicography is carried out.Item Adaptación del concierto para violín y orquesta en D Mayor, Op 61 de Ludwig van Beethoven para guitarra eléctrica.(2019-04-03) Gómez Mejía, Henry José; Ortega Barros, Jorge AlfredoThe present work of the thesis applies the techniques of playing of the electric guitar in the adaptation of the Concert for violin and orchestra Op 61 of Ludwig van Beethoven. For this purpose, the formal, harmonic and thematic analysis of the three movements of the work has been carried out, the techniques of the electric guitar have been explained and developed in a methodological compendium, which, in addition, is exemplified by a video tutorial that guarantees the correct interpretation of this techniques. Finally, the integral adaptation of the solo violin part, written in score and tablature for the electric guitar, is added, including all the nomenclatures necessary for its correct reading and a description of the adaptation process in the third chapter.Item Adaptaciones y arreglos de dos pasillos para guitarra y requinto(Universidad de Cuenca. In a same way the evolution of the academic guitar will be studied, its representatives and also the academic and popular techniques, these tools are indispensable to carry out the arrangements later on with a balance in the academic and popular treatment.Item Alternativas de manejo de la hernia de la col (Plasmodiophora brassicae Woronin) en la parroquia de San Joaquín, Cuenca – Ecuador(2019-07-16) Viñansaca Jimbo, Janneth Elizabeth; Larriva Coronel, Walter IvánHorticulture in Ecuador is concentrated in the sierra region because of its ideal conditions for these crops, which are increased in the consumer's diet, cabbage is one of the vegetables most desired by the population due to its nutritional value; referring to the production of cabbage in the country, the province of Azuay occupies the fourth position with 698 tons / ha followed by the provinces of Cotopaxi, Imbabura and Pichincha. San Joaquin is the main parish that provides these products and also distributes them to Cañar, El Oro, Guayas and Oriente; however, in recent years the low yield of certain species horticultural is induced by the attack of Plasmodiophora brassicae which causes the disease known as the clubroot of crucifers, producers who have used inefficient control methods, causing even abandonment of land. For this reason, the present study aims at evaluating the efficiency that products between biological and chemical could have to handle this phytosanitary problem. A DBCA was applied; treatments were Trichoderma harzianum, T. koningii and PCNB (chemical) in two doses and a witness. The best results were obtained with the application of Trichoderma koningii, 1x106 cfu/cm3, this was able to control the disease in a better way, and there was also greater plant development, higher stem diameter and lower cost compared to other treatments. The main goal is to examine and evaluate the significant differences between both versions, offering a detailed insight into the technical, stylistic and aesthetic aspects that influence the interpretation of this iconic work from the violin repertoire. To conduct this research, a comparative editorial analysis of the concerto’s three movements was carried out, identifying the melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic characteristics that define each section. Oistrakh and Sauret’s interpretative decisions were considered, analyzing how each violinist brings out their unique understanding of Saint-Saëns’ compositional style and historical context. The study reveals how differences between editions can profoundly impact artistic expression and the overall understanding of the score. Through the technical and stylistic analysis of Oistrakh’s and Sauret’s editions this paper aims not only to identify the differences between both versions but also to offer valuable insights that can enrich the interpretative practice of musicians and scholars. The investigative and comparative process reveals that editorial decisions and interpretative preferences of each violinst reflect their own artistic conceptions, and that both versions provide unique perspectives that performers can use to develop an informed and meaningful interpretation of Saint-Saëns’ work. The subject of study is the original work Three Pieces for Violin and Piano by Diana Alvarado, inspired by Oscar Wilde’s tale The Nightingale and the Rose. Through a structural and compositional lens, the research examines formal, motivic, and rhetorical procedures across the pieces Romance, Anhelos, and Poema, as well as the creative decisions that articulate the work as an expressive whole. Although the composition includes elements related to Ecuadorian nationalism, these are part of a broader strategy that incorporates contemporary and programmatic techniques. The study concludes that the work represents a meaningful contribution to the national academic repertoire, notable for both its originality and its analytical and interpretive potential.Item Análisis de las composiciones de músicos cañaris del siglo XX: José María Guamán Pichazaca, José Santiago Guamán Pichazaca y Pedro Pichazaca Mayancela(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-09-29) Parra Pastuisaca, José Luis; Alvarado Delgado, Jannet EmperatrizThe present project of qualification called, "Analysis of the Compositions of the Cañari Musicians of the 20th Century: José María Guamán Pichazaca, José Santiago Guamán Pichazaca, and Pedro Pichazaca Mayancela", aims to recover and select the compositions of the aforementioned musicians for their enhancement. In addition, the transcription and approximate analysis of the musical works composed by the autochthonous Cañari musicians were carried out; since there is little information about the investigations of musicians and instrument makers of the Cañari culture of the Quilloac community of the Cañar Canton. In the same way, there is a shortage of reviews that show the authors of the themes or musical rhythms that currently exist in the aforementioned community. The research techniques used are based on interviews, literature reviews, and Grebe's (1976) ethnomusicological methodology, which takes into account the object, methods, and techniques of ethnomusicological research. As a final result, we can mention that a detailed report of the compositional analysis of the Cañaris musicians was obtained, in which aspects of musical forms, melodic, rhythmic, and instrumentation analysis are approached from an approximate point through a musical score. In this work, it is determined that the possibilities for the analysis and transcription of autochthonous rhythms are feasible and very necessary, taking into account that, at present, technology allows different facilities as a tool to record the native Cañaris melodies within their sociocultural context.Item Análisis del comportamiento de la música litúrgico-religiosa en el período de 1990- 2015 dentro del culto ordinario de la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Nube de Azogues. Third, the most significant elements of sound in this place.Item Análisis del repertorio de la banda de pueblo “Alfonso Carrión Heredia” de la parroquia Baños con énfasis en los géneros musicales ecuatorianos y populares(2019-11-07) Vizhco Sigua, Diego Santiago; Jumbo Medina, Wilmer FermínThe present work arises from the need to know more about the traditional music groups in the city of Cuenca, especially in the parish Baths, with this purpose we have taken into consideration the town bands, musical groups that are protagonists throughout festivity of a popular, religious, social nature, etc. For our investigation the object of study will be the band Alfonso Carrión Heredia, a musical group that has forged an important space within the city of Cuenca and outside it. The aspects that will be addressed in the work focus on the evolutionary historical part of the group and the repertoire that they interpret. We will address a process of formal and instrumental analysis of seven musical themes of the band's repertoire, ranging from the most prominent Ecuadorian musical genres in traditional festivals, to popular musical genres that currently have a great reception by the public and the media.
