Abstract
The present research work took place in Chordeleg which is a town that belongs to the
province of Azuay in Ecuador. This investigation work is based on the knowledge acquired in
the musical area of the folk group “Sangre Criolla”. It is important to mention that this
musical group belongs and lives in this place.
In this context, the degree work entitled "Musical analytical approach to the record repertoire
of the chordelense group Sangre Criolla, period 1992-2018" was proposed. For this study, the
sociocultural environment, history, musical trajectory of the group and its contribution to the
national repertoire have been considered; Likewise, technical transcriptions of various
themes from his discography were elaborated, detailing melodic and harmonic fragments of
each one. Based on this information, a theoretical-practical work is developed whose
objective is to provide an academic contribution to Ecuadorian music.
Resumen
El presente trabajo se fundamenta en la práctica interpretativa, trayectoria, historia y
desarrollo musical de la agrupación folklórica Sangre Criolla, dicha investigación se
desarrolló en el cantón Chordeleg, provincia del Azuay (Ecuador) debido a que la agrupación
pertenece y reside en este lugar.
En este contexto, se propuso el trabajo de grado titulado “Acercamiento analítico musical al
repertorio discográfico de la agrupación chordelense Sangre Criolla, período 1992-2018”.
Para este estudio, se ha considerado el entorno sociocultural, la historia, la trayectoria musical
de la agrupación y su aporte al repertorio nacional; asimismo, se elaboraron transcripciones
técnicas de varios temas de su discografía, detallando fragmentos melódicos y armónicos de
cada uno. Con base en esta información se desarrolla un trabajo teórico-práctico cuyo
objetivo es brindar un aporte académico a la música ecuatoriana.
