Item Análisis de la influencia de las redes sociales en la toma de decisiones de alojamiento por los visitantes extranjeros de la ciudad de Cuenca durante el periodo julio –diciembre 2014(2015) Guillén Velastegui, Omar Gustavo; Sánchez Rodas, Lourdes MonserrathThis research discloses the analysis of the influence of social networks in taking accommodation decisions by foreign visitors to the city of Cuenca in the period July-December 2014, it is important to mention that current technologies benefit the tourism industry, which is why the accommodation industry must stay ahead covering the need to overnight in tourists, offering high quality services in line with expectations you have for the trip. Performing this research has met the objectives, initially identifying the main social networks using foreigners visiting Cuenca, resulting: Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.In addition, the use of social networks by hosting companies it showed that, photographs of facilities persuades tourists, relevant information on activities within the city is requested by visitors and show the facilities and prices accommodations are first seeking by tourists in social networks during planning the trip. Therefore, strategies and tactics proposed using Marketing 2.0, which facilitate an organization within establishments that provide accommodation and want to improve their presence on social networks and websites to get the attention of foreign tourists visiting the city of Cuenca.Item Análisis de la percepción de los residentes del Centro Histórico de Cuenca, Ecuador sobre el desarrollo del turismo, Caso de estudio parroquia Gil Ramírez Dávalos(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Ciencias de la Hospitalidad, 2026-03-04) Guamán Sarmiento, Johanna Belén; Juela Pérez, Mónica Cristina; Molina Díaz, María AugustaThe objective of this study is to analyze the perceptions of residents about the development of tourism in the Gil Ramírez Dávalos parish located in the Historic Center of Cuenca. This area, due to its heritage value and strategic location, has experienced tourist growth that has transformed its economic, social and environmental dynamics. In the first instance, the theoretical and contextual background that supports the analyzed aspects is presented: economic-labor, sociocultural, environmental and governance and citizen participation. The methodology used in this study was quantitative, through the application of surveys to 365 people, including residents and people who work in the parish. For the analysis of the information, frequency tables and cross tables were prepared using the SPSS version 25 software. Based on the results, it is concluded that the perceptions of residents about tourism development in the Gil Ramírez Dávalos parish are varied, highlighting both benefits and challenges. Tourism is recognized as a generator of employment and promoter of local culture; however, concerns related to the increase in the cost of living and job instability are also identified. As for the environmental sphere, most agree that tourism has generated air and noise pollution, although some residents do not consider that there is significant damage to the environment or loss of green areas. Finally, there is little citizen participation and limited knowledge about the destination of the resources generated by this activity.Item Análisis del proceso de reactivación turística a partir de la pandemia por Covid 19 en el Parque Nacional Cotopaxi. Periodo marzo 2020 - marzo 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-11-23) Pineda Delgado, Erika Michelle; Trujillo Vimos, Samantha Elizabeth; Galarza Torres, Marcela AlexandraCotopaxi National Park is one of the most visited references of nature tourism nationwide, attracting visitors for its variety of natural attractions. In 2019 it was the fourth most visited area in the country, however, with the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020 it was forced to close its doors to tourists for an indefinite period. For this reason, the authorities and the main tourist actors of the park encountered the need to seek and implement strategies that will help the progressive reactivation of tourism, these same strategies being necessary to continue with tourism. Therefore, the purpose of this research project is to analyze the process of reactivation of tourism in the Cotopaxi National Park in the face of the event of the pandemic in the period March 2020 - March 2021, through a qualitative approach with descriptive scope and the creation of networks to reach the results that showed if the measures implemented served to reactivate tourism in the park or if other strategies should be taken, also to analyze the perceptions of tourism actors in relation to the measures taken for this reactivation. Biosecurity measures.Item Diseño de paquetes turísticos para personas con movilidad restringida en la provincia del Azuay(2015) Pasato Ureña, Guisela Patricia; Yunga Enderica, María Fernanda; Eljuri Jaramillo, María IsabelThis research work presents the design and proposal of tourist packages for people with restricted mobility in wheelchair in the province of the Azuay, since it is important to mention that tourism for disabled people is a potential booming market. Such is the case of certain countries in Europe that have developed this type of tourism, being a mainstream for people who want to visit a destination without barriers, offering them quality services to meet their needs allow the tourists to enjoy a journey no matter the disability they may have. The development of this research work has been based on an extensive analysis of the main attractions and tourist infrastructure of Azuay province, taking into account the cantons that have increased tourism operation inside the province; being these prone to render accessible services for this type of tourism. When carrying out the analysis of the attractions and tourist infrastructure of Azuay province, four tour packages focused on different kinds of tourism comprising cultural, religious, craft and shopping; including also recreation activities that complement the service.Item Evaluación de nivel de conocimiento financiero de los micro emprendedores en establecimientos turísticos privados en las zonas rurales de la ciudad de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-10-23) Delgado Guartan, Romel Ismael; Orozco Atancuri, Josué Andrés; Ávila Vélez, Tania KarolinaThis research contemplates the importance of financial knowledge in micro entrepreneurs in rural areas of the city of Cuenca, specifically in private tourism ventures. This study had a quantitative approach of descriptive scope, where a sampling was carried out with a minimum percentage of response to the total of tourism enterprises in rural areas of the city of Cuenca, there are 87 establishments that are in operation according to the cadaster of the Ministry of Tourism of the year 2022. Therefore, a test was carried out on the tourism micro-entrepreneurs of the mentioned area, as a tool to validate the data collected and respond to the hypothesis raised in the research, "The lack of financial knowledge in the micro-entrepreneurs of the rural areas of the city of Cuenca could cause economic instability in their tourism businesses". Therefore, the results of the research show the valuation of the financial knowledge of tourism micro-entrepreneurs and the use of financial tools for the management and administration of their businesses. This research is made up of three chapters: in the first part, an analysis is made of the main elements that make up the community of Caguanapamba: geographical location, history, sociocultural, environmental, economic, administrative and tourism aspects. This information has been collected through a literature review, interviews and direct observation. Secondly, the application of the MINTUR Tourist Attractions Manual document is carried out, divided into two parts; on the one hand, the Methodological Guide for the Hierarchy of Attractions and Generation of Tourist Spaces in Ecuador, which is a tool that allows identifying, classifying and technically assessing the attractions with the best conditions for the development of tourism activity; on the other hand, there is the Guide for the Survey of Tourist Attractions in Ecuador; therefore, following the guidelines of this information, 17 inventory files of tourist attractions in the community of Caguanapamba were drawn up. In the third and last part, the associativity and generation of tourist spaces is carried out according to the results of the inventory and finally, three tourist routes are proposed that include the natural and cultural attractions that were inventoried.Item La oferta de servicios en establecimientos hoteleros de lujo y primera clase en la ciudad de Cuenca. Año 2010-2011(2012) Pesántez Cordero, Andrea Nataly; Farfán Pacheco, Lourdes KarinaItem Plan de desarrollo turístico del cantón Guachapala(2015) Zúñiga Ortega, Andrea Estefanía; Farfán Pacheco, Lourdes KarinaThis tourism development plan is based on the analysis of the physical, socio-economic and tourism situation in the canton Guachapala, since the joint study of these three elements allows the approach of programs and projects that constitute important factors for economic and social development of the territory; Guachapala, like several cantons which are located along the Ecuadorian territory has attractions of different ranks and categories that need to be maximized in a sustainable manner. The main objective of this study is to establish a tourism development plan which will allow the cantonal authorities make Guachapala a developed and competitive tourist center in the province of Azuay, which in turn has the ability to create sources of income alternatives to the residents of the area and is in the ability to meet the needs and expectations of current and potential visitors without causing damage to natural and cultural factors, for that purpose on this study has been developed a proposal for programs, projects and services based on activities of analyzing needs, threats, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses of the territory which were determined through the application of various research methods; to obtain basic information regarding the physical and socioeconomic characterization of the canton primary and secondary sources were analyzed, on the other hand for the lifting of tourist information such as characterization of supply and demand, inventory and situational analysis of the tourist attractions were used surveys, interviews and field trips to the various attractions. At the end, this study was able to confirm that the tourism factor within the canton Guachapala is highly neglected, which can be easily verified in several features such as the poor state of much of its resources and tourist facilities, the lack of touristic signage and as well as the lack of a tourism development plan, etc. However Guachapala has a variety of attractions that in the future will be able to develop cultural, religious, scientific nature and adventure tourism.Item Propuesta de desarrollo turístico para la parroquia Luis Cordero del cantón Azogues, 2019-2022(2020-10-23) Cuji Cáceres, Oscar Segundo; Pinos Pinos, Henry Mauricio; Espinoza Figueroa, Freddy EdgarThis document proposes initial strategic guidelines for the tourism development of Luis Cordero parish, Azogues, Ecuador considering that the place has natural and cultural tourist resources that could be used in favor of local development, allowing local authorities to have a tool to implement tourist activity in the parish according to its potentialities. Through the review of primary and secondary source information and the application of participatory methodologies to the authorities and the community, a parish baseline with respect to tourism was established, then the tourism system with which the study area has was identified and the aspects that can contribute to tourism growth and those points that hinder the practice of tourism were identified. Finally, based on the analyses previously carried out, strategies were developed focused on strengthening the administration of the tourism sector, linking the productive activities of the parish with tourism and improving the tourist offer of the parish.Item Propuesta de plan de desarrollo turístico para la parroquia Shaglli del cantón Santa Isabel, provincia del Azuay 2021-2025(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-10-30) Sarmiento Carpio, Erick Arcesio; Farfán Pacheco, Lourdes KarinaThis degree work was elaborated with the purpose of structuring a Tourism Development Plan for the Shaglli parish of the Santa Isabel canton. It includes a situational diagnosis of the environment and population, through primary sources of research and secondary sources of information, official documentation provided by the GAD as the cantonal and parish territorial planning and development plan. In addition, a description of the supply of the parish was developed based on information provided by the parish PDYOT and direct observation. Through semi-structured interviews and qualitative methodologies for the interpretation of results, the main problems affecting the parish were identified. Likewise, a portfolio of programs and projects was elaborated based on the improvement of the quality of life of the local population and sustainable use of the parish's resources; taking into account the opinions expressed during the interviews conducted with the main tourism stakeholders of the territory. Finally, this work becomes a guide that concentrates problems, solutions and strategies that complement the tourism development plan of the parish. Recently, the touristic campaign “All you need is Ecuador” has been a hit for the foreign countries, that let more people to know more about this amazing country. That is the reason why many entrepreneurs have bet for this industry, and they had invested in this economic area. Nowadays, technology is a powerful tool for the new generations, which can connect people all over the globe. Also, people are using this powerful instrument to make business, because tons and tons of individuals can get in touch with the people they want based on their preferences, it means that one person can connect to others to only talk about their experiences about travelling and leisure and also can share multimedia documents of a certain destiny or to make reservations online as well. Therefore, the present monography is a document focused on the planning of a local online travel agency in Azuay, with no products but only the azuayos ones. This contains all the market information for its creation, such as: market analysis, operative plan, legal procedures and financial structure. In fact, these steps are very important to create an exclusive travel agency which works only through the web, with an interactive option to see the touristic multi-productive and beautiful Azuay province as it has never seen before.Item Proyecto de agroturismo en la parroquia Baños del cantón Cuenca(2015) Alvarracín Sigua, Angel Rodrigo; Iñiguez Márquez, Gustavo EduardoIn Baños parish of the Cuenca canton there are a wide variety of plants which have been grown for several decades ago and they are an important part of the parish’s culture. However, these plants have disappeared or decreased its cultivation in the best of cases. This research aims to share information of plants, through the design an agrotourism project in the Baños parish in order to contribute to the conservation of ancestral crops of the parish. The design of this project is based on the business plan model in order to guide its implementation. In addition, it carried out a survey in order to determinate the feasibility level and to know the visitors’ wishes and preferences about the agrotourism which will be used as a reference in the project approach.
