Item Abandono escolar de los adolescentes de educación general básica del sector rural de Gualaceo(2015) Cortez Bustamante, Víctor Esteban; Pérez Rodas, Jorge Iván; Pacheco Salazar, María de LourdesThis research work describes the factors that influences students dropouts in the educational units from rural areas of "Gualaceo", also the importance that parents are giving to education, at last know the occupational practice of teenagers. In the field of research, was applied a survey elaborate by the University of Chile "Andrés Bello”, that we have analyzed and modified according to our needs and in the contextual reality, and reality of the students with their last years of school of Basic General Education and to young teenagers who have already abandoned their education. Also there was an interview to show us personal information which may be the cause, situations that have to do with family, academic and economy of the students.Item Abordaje de las necesidades educativas especiales (NEE'S.) en el proceso de actualización y fortalecimiento (AFAC) de la reforma curricular para la educación general básica (EGB) Ecuatoriana (2012)(2014) Aguirre Ordoñez, Irma Lucila; Ledesma Cando, María Gabriela; Alarcón Quito, Karen JohanaThe main purpose of this research project is to prove that the books which have been written by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador (Updating and Strengthening Curriculum Reform of Basic General Education) does not have the key elements or basic parts about educational inclusion and curricular adaptations or a change in the syllabus, therefore the researchers give a proposal of strategies in order to detect the Special Educational Needs and a Guidelines for Preparing Curricular Adaptations. The field research that holds these proposals was done in the 01D01C16 Educational District, which belongs to Nulti a rural parish, by applying a survey to five authorities and fifteen teachers of this district. The study has a quantitative, descriptive and transversal design approach. The participants were 89 students between men and women of the sixth and seventh years of General Basic Education (EGB), in San Fernando city. Two sociodemographic files were used to characterize the profile of parents and children, including informed consent and the questionnaire "Child-Parq / Control: Mother / Father of Rohner" (2016 adaptation in the city of Cuenca). The Child-Parq / Control questionnaire was used to evaluate the perception of the level of acceptance, rejection and control of their parents, caregivers or attachment figures. The results show that there were similarities between the levels of acceptance, rejection and control of the father and mother figure in both boys and girls, indicating that they are perceived as highly rejected, do not feel accepted, and the control exercised by their figures of Attachment is very low. In addition, the results of correlation found a significant relationship between parental acceptance and maternal indifference, paternal indifference and maternal aggression, paternal aggression and maternal indifference, paternal rejection and maternal aggression.Item Aceptación, rechazo y control parental percibido por niños en una escuela del cantón Suscal-Cañar(2018) Palacios Moncayo, Ana Marianela; Quezada Cando, Katherine Alexandra; Palacios Madero, María DoloresThe purpose of this study is to describe the perception of acceptance, rejection and parental control of children who pertain to the school of Luis Napoleón Dillón in the Suscal canton which resides in the province of Cañar. This research followed a quantitative approach, whose non-experimental scope was descriptive and relational of cross-sectional. Throughout this research, socio-demographic records were used and the Acceptance-Rejection/ Parental Control questionnaire for children was applied (abbreviated form: PARQ / C; Rohner, 2005). The questionnaire is based on IPARtheory tries to predict and explain the main causes, consequences and correlations of acceptance-rejection and parental control (Rohner y Carrasco, 2014, p.9). For the statistical analysis, were compared the perceived to children according to sex and were related the age with dimensions of affection, rejection and the parental control. 107 children participated in this study. Their age ranged between 9 to 12 years old. They were in the last two years of middle school and, for the most part, were part of a nuclear family. Due to migration, a minority of these children lived with caregivers. The results of this study indicate a high tendency towards parental acceptance, that is to say, the majority of children perceive themselves as loved, supported and cared for. This study also presented low levels of rejection. Additionally, the study results show that boys and girls perceive their parental figures with high control attitudes.Item Aceptación, rechazo y control parental relacionado con el rendimiento académico de estudiantes en escuelas fiscales. Cuenca(2018) Palacios Kirby, Ana Gabriela; Palacios Madero, María DoloresThis research is part of the research project "Acceptance and Rejection Parental perceived by children attending schools in the city of Cuenca" and has the purpose of correlating parental acceptance, rejection and control with academic performance in sixth and seventh graders of Basic General Education in public schools from Cuenca; which is based on Rohner's Interpersonal Theory. This research has a quantitative approach, is cross-sectional with correlational scope, for which the questionnaire "Child-Parq / Control: Father / Mother of Rohner (2004) and the sociodemographic record was applied. In the present study, 394 students of sixth and seventh grade of Basic General Education attended the public schools of the city of Cuenca. For the analysis of data, the expressions of parental acceptance, rejection and control were described, in addition, the students' academic performance were classified, to subsequently correlate these two variables. The results report that, in general, children perceive themselves as accepted and highly controlled by their parents; in terms of academic performance, it was found that girls have better grades than boys, and finally, two important results were reported: the higher the number of siblings, the male children are perceived as rejected by their mother; and to a greater qualification the males perceive greater feeling of acceptance of their mother.Item Acompañamiento pedagógico en el marco de los servicios voluntarios internacional(2008) Abril Cabrera, Mónica del Carmen; Chacón Quizhpe, Luis HumbertoItem Acoso escolar en estudiantes de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Francisco Febres Cordero en la ciudad de Cuenca, período 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-03) Lozado Rojas, Freddy Rodrigo; Narváez Segovia, Israel Giuspe; Conforme Zambrano, Elsa GardeniaBullying is defined as the aggressive behavior of a student or a group towards another student repeatedly and constantly, using physical, verbal, psychological and social violence in order to harm the integrity of the other. This investigation aimed to describe bullying in high school students of the Francisco Febres Cordero Millennium Educational Unit in the city of Cuenca, period 2022. The study has a quantitative approach, a non-experimental - cross-sectional design, and a descriptive scope. The participants were 230 students with age X̅ 16.32. The adapted version of Mauricio Herrera-López of the European Bullying Intervention Project Questionnaire (EBIPQ) was applied, which allows identifying bullying and a sociodemographic record that characterized the participants. To carry out the data analysis, the SPSS v.25 program was used, identifying that 32.3% of the participants were in situations of bullying, with a predominance of victims with 18.3%; in addition, concerning sociodemographic variables, greater harassment was recorded in the second year of baccalaureate and was more common in men than women. It can be concluded, of the selected sample, 156 (67.8%) adolescents do not engage in bullying, and 74 (32.2%) identify with one of the roles of either victim, aggressor or aggressor victimized.Item El acoso escolar entre pares en una escuela rural de la parroquia Cumbe(2015) Pérez Cordero, Fátima Beatriz; Ordóñez Ordóñez, Miriam CarlotaThe present quantitative and qualitative study, to exploratory level, peer bullying at Carlos Terán Zenteno the boys and girls school, rural parish, located in Cumbe Cuenca city, Azuay conducted with 12 teachers and 311 students, can describe the situation of bullying among peers with their respective types and manifestations represented in actual percentages and interpreted according to the theoretical foundations exposed by different authors in the first part of the investigation. The instruments used were Rosario Ortega´s survey for children, called Cuestionario sobre Intimidación y Maltrato entre pares en Instituciones Educativas de Educación Básica de la Cuidad de Cuenca and guía de entrevista semi-estructurada sobre "Acoso Escolar o Bullying" dirigida a Profesores, the same which identified 6.4% of bullying in the educational institution, characterized by the presence of direct verbal harassment, whose manifestation was the nickname (20.1%) and physical (12.9%), usually acompanied by kicking, shoving and hitting.Item Acoso escolar entre pares y su relación con el rendimiento académico de las víctimas(2011) Alcívar Barrera, Ana Leonor; Juca Verdugo, Lilian del Rocío; Ortiz Ochoa, William AlfredoItem Acoso escolar y autoestima en adolescentes neurodivergentes de la Unidad educativa Miguel Merchán Ochoa de la ciudad de Cuenca, 2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-04-24) Arizabala Rivera, Faviola del Pilar; Pozo Neira, Johanna LucíaBullying deeply affects children and teenagers with intellectual disability (ID) due to their physical vulnerability, their difficulties to develop social skills or the lack of acceptance of their diversity. Despite family and school being crucial agents on their inclusion processes, there is often limited data about this issue that could guide them on how to prevent bullying or how to support people with ID. The current study aimed to determine the relationship between bullying and self-esteem of neurodivergent teenagers of Unidad Educativa Miguel Merchan Ochoa (a high-school) in Cuenca, Ecuador. The project used a quantitative, non-experimental, transversal, and correlational method. Population consisted of 34 (n=34) teenagers previously diagnosed with ID from the school. The Rosenberg self-esteem questionnaire was used to assess self-esteem, while the European Bullying Intervention Project Questionnaire (EBIPQ) was used to evaluate bullying. Results showed bullying and low rates of self-steem among neurodivergent students, despite of nor significant correlation found. These results shed a light on the work that has to be done towards inclusion, accepting differences and promoting respect among peers, especially regarding to neurodivergent ones.Item Acoso escolar y sus consecuencias psicológicas en las víctimas(2015) Flores Flores, Mayra Alejandra; Durán Vanegas, María Augusta; Ordóñez Ordóñez, Miriam CarlotaThis research is exploratory - descriptive, its purpose is to know what are the psychological consequences of bullying on victims, for which instrument used a questionnaire , which was applied to the study group consisting of 37 children and adolescents aged 6 to 14 years, of an educational unit of the urban area of the city of Cuenca, identified as victims of bullying ; after making the research process could be seen that there is a greater presence of interpersonal psychological consequences compared to the intrapersonal ; and of these , the highest incidence are: the loss of the ability to make friends , lack of confidence and the desire for revenge. Nowadays these situations are very common; besides that it affects most of the students population, it always has as scenarios of violence the classrooms, recess hours, patios, walkways etc., of the educational institutions. Bullying is a very complex behavior to define, it takes many forms and it could manifest of directly or indirectly manner; it has always been present throughout the educational process. It’s very important to keep in mind that the most harmful thing is not the action itself, but the consequences that it may bring to the intellectual development of students. For this reason, analyzing the whole lately shocking bullying cases worldwide, it has been developing a series of educational policies, which have as main task to stop this problem, the thing is to provide appropriate support to the victim and punish the offender, but giving little or no importance to the viewer. CSA can be described as any behavior, gesture or expression of a sexual nature that occurs in public spaces without the consent of the victim. In this context, the current study aims to describe the frequency of CSA present in female students of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Cuenca in the period 2023-2024, according to sociodemographic variables, from a perspective that includes the different dimensions in which it is manifested and the predominant behaviors of CSA, in addition to describing CSA based on the use of public space by female students. This study has a quantitative methodology, descriptive scope and cross-sectional design. We worked with a sample of 138 female students. For data collection, we used the Questionnaire of Sexual Harassment on Public Roads by Gonzalez et al. (2019), with three dimensions: Verbal and Gestural Harassment; Indirect Harassment; and Physical/Invasive Harassment; accompanied by a sociodemographic card. Regarding the results, it was found that the total population studied experienced CSA, with a high level of frequency. Verbal/Gestural Harassment, and behaviors such as whistling, sounds and morbid looks, were the most common form of ASC experienced by the students. Finally, it was concluded that students who walk longer distances experience a higher incidence of CSA and it is evident that the prevalence of harassment is related to geographic and mobility factors.Item Acoso sexual callejero, percepciones y actitudes de estudiantes mujeres pertenecientes a la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Cuenca periodo lectivo 2024-2025(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-05-30) Briones Macias, Melany Shirley; Freire Valdiviezo, Paulo AndrésDespite social, regulatory and legal advances, street sexual harassment persists as a growing problem. This form of violence is present in any stage of life of women, who have to deal with the social and psychological problems caused by experiencing these types of behaviors and attitudes. This research seeks to describe the perceptions and attitudes of female students belonging to the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Cuenca regarding sexual harassment in the street. It has a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design and descriptive character, developed through a non-probabilistic sampling. The participants were 188 female students belonging to the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Cuenca. The tool used was the Questionnaire on street sexual harassment and women's perception. As results it was found that 52.1% of the students recognized the piropo as a compliment and a compliment despite considering that it is an attitude related to sexual street harassment. However, 80.3% mentioned that there is no justification for street sexual harassment, and most of the respondents commented that they do not end up in complaints due to complex processes. It was found that students recognize harassment, but normalize it due to sociocultural patterns.Item Actitud de adolescentes ante la inclusión de compañeros con discapacidad(2018) Vargas Salinas, Beatriz Eugenia; Cobos Cobos, María FernandaEcuador is one of the countries that has stipulated statutes to protect students with discapacities, with the goal of offering correct development in their educative setting. Nevertheless, it is necessary to investigate the environment that is trying to include the youth with discapacities, to know the attitudes of the other classmates. It is for this reason that the objective of this investigation is to show the types of attitudes of youth toward discapacities seeing that some social models permit downplaying the mechanisms of exclusion in the education setting. This study corresponds with a measurable focus with a descriptive reach, that counted on the participation of 179 first year high school students at the Manuel J Calle who ages range between 13 and 16 years old, with an average age of 15.32 years old. The instrument used was the Chedoke Mc Master Attitudes Towards Children with Handicaps (CATCH) scale (adapted in 2016 in the city of Cuenca). The scale developed measures the attitudes of children and youth toward their handicapped classmates through 3 dimensions: the affective, cognitive and behavioral. The obtained results show that youth have a favorable attitude toward their handicapped classmates (= 2.90), and with respect to the dimensions, the results point out mediums equivalent to a favorable attitude of the three dimensions. Finally, the results report that there does not exist a significant statistical difference with respect to the sex nor in the dimensions.Item Actitud docente frente a la inclusión educativa(2013) Rodríguez Figueroa, Fernanda del Pilar; Calle Jiménez, Ana Verónica; Ávila Pinduisaca, Carla GeaninaWith the objective of improving the quality of Inclusive Education on children with disabilities, we have made an analysis about teachers’ attitude towards this issue. What we intend to do is to sensitize about the importance that teachers should give at the moment of including people with NNE in their regular classrooms and accomplish this labor successfully. Also, this thesis will provide a clear vision about Inclusive Education, by analyzing its main principles and its development through history. After that, we will be able to know how to implement a cooperative group among teachers (GAEPs), its operational structure, and the benefits of that group on Inclusive Education.
