Item Implicación del método de enseñanza sobre la condición física, obesidad y relaciones sociales en niños escolarizados de 11-12 años(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-03-06) Morocho Morocho, Nathaly Silvana; Morocho Patiño, Diego Xavier; Brito Parra, Jorge EduardoObjective: quantify the effects of the application of two teaching methods: reciprocal teaching (RT) to E.U Federico Proaño students (S1) and direct command (DC) to E.U Tres de Noviembre students (S2). The variables used were physical condition status (PCS), obesity, and social relationships (SR). Tools: PCS was assessed with the Eurofit battery; BMI was used for obesity, and the BPNES questionnaire was used for SR. Results: The PCS variable in S1: all the tests; flexion test held in suspension, abdominal exercises (ABS), long jump, and 10x5m round trip race value P = 0.000 it shows improvement. In S2, the flexion test maintained in suspension value P = 0.142, in (ABS), long jump value, and round-trip race 10x5m value P = 0.000, indicating improvement except in the first test. In the obesity variable, in S1 the P value = 0.010, and in S2 the P value = 0.745, which indicates improvement only for S1. In the SR variable, in S1, question 3 P value = 0.055, question 6 P value = 0.060, question 9 P value = 0.015, and question 12 P value = 0.231; it indicates stability. In S2, question 3 P value = 0.032, question 6 P value = 0.002, question 9 P value = 0.000, and question 12 P value = 0.000; it indicates significant effects for the students in S2. Conclusion: The statistical significance indicates the RT method proved to be the best methodological choice because it optimized the PCS and obesity significantly and it kept the SR stable.Item Influencia de la gamificación en la motivación, basada en las necesidades psicológicas básicas en estudiantes durante las clases de Educación Física(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-23) Sagbaicela Samaniego, John Davis; Torres Lazo, Adrián Mateo; Cajamarca Naula, Rosa SusanaLearners' low motivation affects the creation of different disadvantaged attitudes on Physical Education. For this reason, a purpose came up to evaluate the effects of a proposal of gamified games to improve the degree of motivation according to the basic psychological needs of tenth-grade students during Physical Education classes. A quantitative approach was used, employing a quasi-experimental design with 66 tenth-grade students from República del Ecuador High School. These students were divided into control and experimental groups. The Basic Psychological Needs (BPNS) and a 16-session intervention program were carried out. The results revealed an increase in the motivation of the students of the experimental group in the post-test, as well as a significant difference in the variables of autonomy, competence, and relationship with others between the female and male participants. It concludes with the relevance of using gamification to address the student's psychological well-being and strengthen collaborative work.
