Item Aptitudes psicolingüísticas en niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años del Centro Educativo Infantil Antonio Borrero. Cuenca, 2018(2019-11-11) Moscoso Saquinaula, Priscila Oliva; Clavijo, María IsabelBackground: Determine psycholinguistic skills during preschool age is of vital importance, since in this age there is a greater neuronal plasticity than at other ages, since there are significant acquisitions in all areas of development. Objective: To determine the level of psycholinguistic abilities in children from 4 to 5 years of the Antonio Borrero Children's Educational School through the Illinois Psycholinguistic Aptitude Test - ITPA. Methodology: Quantitative descriptive observational study conducted at the Antonio Borrero Educational School with 80 children aged 4 and 5 years, after meeting the inclusion criteria were evaluated through the Illinois Test of Psycholinguistic Aptitudes - ITPA, the information collected was tabulated and processed in the statistical program SPSS free version 20, after which the results were presented in frequency and percentage tables. Results: The study population consisted of 80 children, 90% corresponds to the chronological age of 4 years, and 10% to 5 years; 55% corresponds to the woman, and 45% man; 52.5% have a psycholinguistic age of 3 years, 46.3% of 4 years and 1.2% of 5 years, according to the ITPA test, the least developed psycholinguistic skills were compression (68.8%) and association (95%) auditory, compression (55%) and visual association (88.8%), grammatical integration (92.5%) and visual integration (51.3%); and the most developed were: verbal expression (96.3%), motor expression (85%), auditory sequential memory (68.8%) and visual-motor sequential memory (55%). Conclusion: The psycholinguistic age in boys and girls of 4 and 5 years of the Antonio Borrero Educational School was lower than the chronological age, a less developed level of psycholinguistic skills predominated.Item Evaluación de las habilidades psicolingüisticas de los niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años de edad de la Parroquia San Joaquín – centro parroquial, Cuenca 2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-07-28) Apolo Herrera, Carol Andrea; Lozano Ceron, Cindy Pamela; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraChild neurodevelopment is a complex process that begins from conception and evolves systematically, it will develop and maximize during the first years of life, if adequate stimulation is provided. However; not all children have the resources and opportunities to enhance their abilities, for this reason, we saw the need to evaluate the preschoolers of the San Joaquín parish – Centro Parroquial using the instrument of evaluation Test Illinois of Psycholinguistic Aptitudes (ITPA). General objetive Evaluate the psycholinguistic abilities of boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 5 from the San Joaquín - Centro Parroquial. Methodology A quantitative study of a prospective descriptive and observational type, which was carried out on boys and girls between 4 and 5 years of age who belong to the San Joaquín - Centro Parroquial, using the ITPA test, Cuenca 2020. For analysis and tabulation of results, it was used the program: IBM SPSS version 23 Spanish free, Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft Word 2019. Results The study was carried out with a sample of 90 participants, of which 52.2% are female and 47.8% male; of the total of the children evaluated, 48.9% show an adequate psycholinguistic level for their chronological age, 31.1% present a higher psycholinguistic level for their chronological age and only 20.0% present a psycholinguistic level lower than their chronological age.Item Valoración de los niños de 4 a 5 años de los centros de desarrollo infantil municipales, mediante el Test Illinois de aptitudes psicolingüísticas, Cuenca Ecuador 2019(2019-11-07) Castillo Gavilanes, Cristina Elizabeth; Jiménez Coronel, Ana Gabriela; Lucio Bravo, Miriam AlexandraBackground: Psycholinguistic skills are a fundamental part of learning and communication, being necessary to evaluate these skills to know if they are according to the needs of the child. It is important to work on these skills, through appropriate stimuli to prevent possible future deficits. Course objective: To determine the psycholinguistic age of children ages 4 to 5 years through the Illinois Psycholinguistic Aptitude Test (ITPA) at the Municipal Centers for Child Development in the city of Cuenca. Methodology: Prospective and cross-sectional study. The evaluations were carried out to children between 4 and 5 years of the Municipal Centers of Child Development of the city of Cuenca. The Illinois Psycholinguistic Aptitude Test (ITPA) was used. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 23 software program represented by statistics of percentages, frequencies and standard deviation, the Chi square was used for the relationship of the variables. Results: The population was made up of 125 participants, a psycholinguistic age prevailing that prevails in the range 4 years to 4 years 11 months 60%, the 43.2% of the population a psycholinguistic age equal to their chronological age. The predominant chronological age is 4 years 64.8%, the male gender 51.2%, residence in the urban area 82.4%, typical average socioeconomic stratum 40.8% and 94.4% term gestational age. Finding statistically significant variables in relation to the psycholinguistic age with: chronological age with a chi square of p = 0.00, socioeconomic stratum with a chi square of p = 0.022.
