Cuenca 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-11-30) Rengel Rivera, Ana Joaquina; Clavijo, María IsabelBackground Currently, parents are facing stress due to the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in 2020, where social isolation has been seen for its prevention, promoting teleworking and teleeducation. The need to determine the level of physical and mental exhaustion presented by parents is observed, after being aware of children in tele-education, in their telework, and household chores. For this reason, it has been decided to know the Burnout syndrome in the parents of the children of initial I and II of the Juan Bautista Aguirre School of Basic Education - Miraflores. General objective Evaluate the Burnout index to parents of boys and girls from initial I and II from the Juan Bautista Aguirre Basic Education School - Miraflores. Methodology Prospective descriptive quantitative study. With a total of 85 parents of children from initial I and II from the Juan Bautista Aguirre Basic Education School - Miraflores, to whom the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) was applied. The data collection method was from a primary source, the MBI inventory and a sociodemographic data collection form were applied; The IBM SPSS program, version 23.0, was used for data analysis and tabulation. For the presentation of results, tables from the Microsoft Excel 2016 program were used. Results The population that shows an index of Burnout syndrome were mothers between 31 and 35 years of age, married marital status, education between high school and third level, in charge of a position and who work hours of at least 8 hours a day.
