    Análisis del potencial para el desarrollo de turismo de Salud en sector Pumamaqui

    The Baños parish is located 8km away from Cuenca canton; which has interesting cultural and natural resources, highlighting the thermal springs that provide multiple health benefits. However, the thermal springs of Pumamaqui is unknown, it is located north of the parish at 45 minutes via Soldados. These thermal waters are in a natural state and surrounded by little-disturbed nature, which has generated greater interest for visitors due to the tranquility and purity of its waters. Reason for which they have tried to take advantage of this resource for the development of the tourist activity. For this reason, in the present academic essay it is necessary to carry out the analysis of the tourist potential in order to publicize the health benefits and generate sources of income for the inhabitants of the Pumamaqui sector. One of the objectives is to determine the profile of the tourist as well as to propose strategies and activities for the tourist promotion of the sector.

    Exploración de la percepción de los residentes hacia la actividad turística. Caso Mirador El Calvario de la parroquia Turi, Cuenca, Ecuador

    The present work aimed to explore the perception of residents towards tourism. Study case Mirador El Calvario of Turi parish, Cuenca, Ecuador, for this the qualitative and reflective research approach of exploratory scope and crosssection was used, in this environment it is intended 1) to describe the current situation of the El Calvario viewpoint, 2) to identify the attitude of the residents towards the tourist activity of El Calvario viewpoint. Thus, data collection was used through semi-structured interviews and participant observation. The population to be studied will be the inhabitants of el Calvario viewpoint and to disagree with certain criteria the authorities and technicians of the parish, among the results are the little knowledge that residents have about how to promote tourism, but it is concluded that the attitude of residents is receptive, they know that, if tourism increases, the economy of the sector will be streamlined, basic services will be provided and the entry routes to the sector will be improved.
