Therefore, since tourism is in the rural areas, it has improved the economy of its population, having some attractive resources for tourists. This demands the existence of an updated inventory of touristic resources and a route duly specified. Under this perspective, San Pablo de Shaglli parish, in Santa Isabel canton has the need to develop its tourism, therefore, it is necessary to update the inventory of touristic resources, and the proposal of a new touristic route by means of analyzing the touristic background of the parish. This work is aimed to provide the parish with an updated resource inventory with its more relevant characteristics and a new route to facilitate routes for tourists.Item Análisis de factibilidad para la creación de un Centro de Información Turística en el cantón San Fernando(2015) Siguenza Pérez, Liliana Gabriela; Avecillas Torres, Ángeles ImeldaSan Fernando is a town of Azuay province. Its population is dedicated to farming and livestock, where dairy production is the main source of economic development. It is famous because of the cheese sold to cities like Guayaquil, Machala, Loja, Zamora and Cuenca. It is a town of friendly people, full of history, traditions and customs that are still preserved thanks to its population that continues to convey to their children the legacy left by their ancestors over time. It is important to highlight that San Fernando is well known for its main tourist attraction that is the Busa Lagoon, which receives a large influx of tourists. However, several other tourist attractions need to be promoted adequately, and touristic infrastructure needs improvement in order to increase the number of visits. Due to these factors, we need to implement a tourist information center in the town to give relevant information about all the tourist attractive and activities available in the town. It also seeks to convince local people that tourism is a source of economic growth so that they decide to invest in some tourist resources.Item Los atractivos turísticos del cantón La Troncal como aporte al turismo en la provincia del Cañar(2015) Nelson Fabián, Cárdenas Ulloa; Pesántez Loyola, Sandra ElizabethThrough this investigation I will analyze how the attractions of the canton La Troncal contribute to the development of the Province of Cañar. La Troncal is located on the six region at the south part of the country belonging to the province of Cañar. It is a small town the development of the Cañar province, that has one the most important and productive sugar mills. One of them is the main source of income and employment for the canton and province. This main objective of this paper is to verify and provide information about the attraction of canton La Troncal the economic development and the tourism in the province of Cañar. At the same it aims to explain how they have impacted economically, socially and environmentally. This could be archived by the use of techniques such as: surveys and interviews with people and authorities, likewise, the paper lied trips as well as to know the influence of tourism and the economic and touristic development of the canton and province. Also, based on the study that has been identify in the local area, the current situation that presents every touristic attraction in terms of signage has been analyze. In addition, this information helped to have the tourist point of view, in which they mention that the importance of signs acts as a motivational factor when choosing a destination. Another aspect to make the tourist signs important, is that being a multipurpose tool, it also helps on the tourist to get oriented in an specific place; avoiding mishaps, optimizing their time, contributing tourists to stay for a longer period of time in the place, and helping the tourists people spend within the local community increasing the economy and having major sources of employment in the town. However, when doing a field study several weaknesses have been identify in terms of tourist signs, becoming a limit development of tourism. This problem affects essentially the peripheral attractions of the town as for the rural parishes and the touristic attractions that they possess. As a final point, according to the research an in-depth study has been analyzed based on the importance that the tourist signage town has. Finally, it became an indispensable element for the development of tourism, in order to contribute to the revitalization of the economy of the town.Item Manual de procedimientos de las funciones en la Oficina I-TUR Centro de la ciudad de Cuenca(2015) Salazar Morocho, Vanessa Alexandra; Sánchez Rodas, Lourdes MonserrathThe Tourist Information Centre I-Tur of Cuenca city is a public entity that receives a large influx of foreign and domestic visitors every day; these visitors are the ones who request information of different kind. The I-tur, does not have a manual of procedures to perform different activities, such as; providing tourist information, booking of tourist services, processing information for tourism statistics, supporting tourists, and others. In order to know the current situation of the I-Tur, a crossed SWOT technique was used, where the main activities that a procedure requires are identified. Then the processes were developed, which will enable the staff and interns to improve the response time.Item Análisis de la contribución del turismo comunitario al mantenimiento de la identidad cultural en la provincia del Cañar(2015) Romero López, Mariela Viviana; Cazorla Vintimilla, Thelma LorenaThe province of Cañar covers a large variety of natural attractions forming great landscapes of the High Land region in Ecuador with large elevations of extensive plans dedicated to farming and livestock. On the other, there are attractions of historic character, one of these attractions corresponds the archaeological giving a well known regard to Azogues as the Archaeological Capital of Ecuador thanks to the Archaeological Site of Ingapirca. This is a great cultural wealth of the Cañaris people giving their traditions, celebrations, and their daily festivals to our country in a meaningful way. Agriculture, livestock are the main source of incomes of the region, not to mention also the remittances of migrants that have contributed local development. Nowadays, a new source of income that allows an advantage of the region is tourism, especially community tourism which has developed its sources many years ago. The activity involves negative and positive impacts that must be analyzed in order to establish whether a contribution that helps on the growth of the province or if this contribution attempts against the population. Tourism must be carried out a planned manner through projects that connect the everyday life of citizens with activities that generates interest for tourists, so in this way both parties benefits from each other.Item Los festivales de música y su aporte a la actividad turística en la ciudad de Cuenca(2015) Morales Palomeque, Silvana Gabriela; Cazorla Vintimilla, Thelma LorenaThis work researches about the current state of music festivals in the city of Cuenca analyzed from the perspective that leisure tourism has increased because people from all over the world are interested music festivals. They help to boost tourism activity in the city with the arrival of people who want to satisfy their need of various music festivals and events characterized by having numerous cultural events lasting from some hours to one day and in some cases a few days in one to several places, demonstrating the art of music through ensuring the enjoyment of culture and its components in conditions of equality, human dignity and non-discrimination. It is noteworthy that there is an interest in encouraging cultural tourism of the city of Cuenca without causing a negative impact and provide living spaces that provide equity and improving the quality of life for residents. Therefore the analysis is aimed to demonstrate the importance of these music festivals through a statistical study focused on tourist profile coming to attend these events in the city, which is an advantage for local tourism establishments.Item Análisis turístico de las actividades y manifestaciones culturales-religiosas relevante, que se desarrollan en las comunidades de la parroquia de Sidcay del cantón Cuenca(2015) Pacheco Robles, Dora de los Angeles; Cazorla Vintimilla, Thelma LorenaThe present research presents a "tourist analysis of cultural and religious activities and relevant events that take place in the communities of Sidcay parish". The parish is important as the second parish of canton Cuenca founded 229 years ago as it is stated in the library of Sidcay. The diagnosis of the current tourism situation of Sidcay was carried out by applying quantitative techniques to tourists visiting the place, who were unaware of the cultural and traditional attractions that exist in the zone due to lack of advertising. The acceptance of events and traditional cultural-religious was also evident. Therefore, it is important to advertise tourist attractions such as the religious and traditional cultural expressions through the implementation of brochures, The most important events and festivals of Sidcay are: on January 6 we celebrate Three Kings Day, Easter is a religious act with a history of over one hundred years, the festival in honor of Virgen de la Nube, the festival in honor of Maria Auxiliadora, the festival in honor of Virgen de la Merced and the feast in honor of Virgen del Rosario. In all these events, folkloric dance groups, music bands, fireworks and burning castles are presented. The research aims to safeguard the assets of Sidcay and promote local tourism development.Item Propuesta de capacitación de servicio al cliente para el sector hotelero del cantón Gualaquiza(2015) Torres Sánchez, Angélica María; Sánchez Rodas, Lourdes MonserrathThe present the essay proposes a Customer Service Training Program for the hotel industry of Gualaquiza canton, with the participation of the lodging establishments duly registered in the Tourism Unit of the Autonomous Decentralized Government of Gualaquiza; the proposal will also contribute with one of the objectives of the Annual Operating Plan put forward by the Tourism Unit, it aims to improve customer attention and tourist services. In order to make the proposal, first, we identified the tourist accommodations registered in the Tourism Unit of Gualaquiza, through semi-structured interviews to the hotel managers, next, we analyzed the necessity for training in the hotel industries, and later on we presented the customer -service training proposal for the hotel industry of Gualaquiza with the description of the moduli and topics for training.Item Estudio comparativo de las experiencias de sostenibilidad ambiental en el hotel Boutique & Spa Sofía, termas de Papallacta y Hostería & Spa Durán Durán(2015) Miranda Ramón, María José; Sanmartín Rojas, Iliana del CarmenEnvironmental sustainability promotes different aspects of environmental preservation and care by mean of an analysis of all the environmental processes required within an environmental management system to help fight the climate change around the world. First and foremost, the countries need to implement an internationally certified system to change some activities that affect the environment, which will be very beneficial to the companies dedicated the tourism. Finally, through case analysis such as Sofia & Spa, Papallacta Thermal and Duran Duran& Spa, with all the environmental criteria that these companies enforce nowadays as related to environmental sustainability based on natural resource preservation aspects. For this reason it is important that all companies contribute to the climate chance that has generated a negative impact on the planet, so everyone should contribute to the same chance that has generated global tourism and industry in the world and environmental management is also very important point in changing environmental processes for all countries and companies to have an appreciation for supporting the planet to contribute to the rational use natural resources and to incorporate rules of international certification covers all processes to sustainable tourism responsible for good environmental practices to this way improve a little planet that is in an constant damage around the world.Item Servicio al cliente en la corporación aeroportuaria de Cuenca - CORPAC.(2015) Nivelo Chalco, María Gabriela; Armijos Chillogallo, Daniela FernandaThe following research is on an analysis of customer service in Cuenca Airport Corporation, a company responsible for managing the Mariscal La Mar Airport dedicated to providing airport services. Customer service plays in some operational and commercial areas of the airport as Information & announcements, security filters work, VIP lounge and parking, each of which has the first contact with clients and customers. Research on structured surveys of a sample of passengers who arrived and left in the months of January, February, March and April 2015 data obtained through the operations department Corpac, with their results is done information is extracted from the needs, preferences and demographic characteristics of customers, to know the profile with which the company then handles techniques to implement and improve the quality of care and customer service.Item Análisis del impacto del turismo en la parroquia Baños del cantón Cuenca(2015) Ortega Illescas, Manuel Clodomiro; Pesántez Loyola, Sandra ElizabethAbstract The present research work will analyze different impacts generated by tourism development in Baños. Baños is located on the south west of Cuenca city. It is surrounded by wonderful natural landscapes along with excellent weather. Baños has a fertile ground and hot springs that turn Baños into a main tourism attraction. Baños has different types of accommodation, which has increased the number of foreign and national visitors each year. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the impact of tourism development that allows identifying the economic, social and environmental problems using techniques such as surveys and interviews applied to the population. In addition, field trips take into account the influence of tourism on the life quality of inhabitants. Through this research we will determine both positive and negative impacts that tourism generates so that the local governments make correct decisions in benefit of tourism development of Baños.Item Análisis de la vestimenta tradicional de la comunidad de Cuchucún del cantón Cañar y su vinculación con el turismo cultural(2015) Guamán Pichasaca, Luis Darío; Pérez Avecillas, Juan JoséBased on a deep analysis, supported by research techniques and methods and technological instruments; this research supports the cultural and potential that the Cañari ethnic group of Cuchucún community preserves. It also emphasizes textile manufacturing, as well as the characteristics of their instruments, tools, techniques, processes for the preparation of their traditional dresses. Another fact is the knowledge, linked to the clothing characteristic beliefs and the contribution of natural elements used in the manufacture of their garments. With the need of generating strategic measures whose purpose is to rescue, revalue, preserve the identity, as well as their customs and ancestral techniques that have been influenced by globalization and supplanted by foreign customs, proposals arise for linking tourism to take advantage of the potential of cultural and natural environment of the sector, which are raised through definite strategies, based on the bibliographical and field research, quantification and qualification of all resources found and the conceptual, social-economic analysis. Cuchucún provides opportunities for the development of cultural tourism that allows, at the same time the community to gain knowledge and cultural values and assets, with the textile work linked to tourism, it aims to create opportunities, employment sources to improve quality of life for families to strengthen the social, economic and cultural development of the community with sustainable principles, creating thus competitive offers. Finally, priority is given to agreements to improve the competitiveness of the possible actors in the exercise of this proposal.Item Perfil del turista que visita el santuario de la Virgen del Rocío en el cantón Biblián provincia del Cañar(2015) Arévalo Bermeo, Verónica Carolina; Armijos Chillogallo, Daniela FernandaThe following research consist on knowing the current demand which has the Santuario de la Virgen del Rocío del Canton Biblián, which is indispensable for understanding the importance of the needs and preferences of the visitors. Therefore, this study focuses on determining the specific profile of tourists arriving at the sanctuary. For that reason, there will be a first revision of the main features of the tourist demand, focusing on general aspects that are wondering about the profile in age, gender, occupation, and others. Some of these questions are answered on the first section. There is also a relation based on the profile of the visitors of the Santuario de la Virgen del Rocío with a variety of attractions of the province of Cañar. Finally, a critical point of view will be analyzed derived from the tourist profile. To fulfill the general and specific a survey, an interview, and a field observation have been used in order to get real information.Item Análisis del desarrollo del turismo de aventura en el cantón Limón Indanza, provincia de Morona Santiago(2015) Jadán Guaillazaca, Ilda Cristina; Galarza Torres, Marcela AlexandraCanton Limon Indanza is located in the province of Morona Santiago at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level, with a temperature ranging between 18-24 degrees centigrade, at a distance of 110 kilometers from the capital city of Macas, and at 105 kilometers from Cuenca city. Limón Indanza is a geographical area that has a variety of touristic attractions, both natural and cultural, whose growth is based on the adequate physical conditions for growth of adventure tourism. On the other hand, it has different modalities such as land and water activities of adventure tourism carried out in the canton. We will carry out an analysis of adventure tourism development with the final purpose of knowing its background, and identifying the opportunities to generate new alternatives and additional services to this tourism modality. This analysis is also performed with the purpose of contributing to the economic growth of the town through generating employment opportunities and tourist servers in order to help people improve their quality of life.Item Análisis del servicio de atención al cliente de la Empresa de Transporte Terrestre Turístico Cotratudossa en la ciudad de Cuenca(2015) Palacios Merchán, Dalila Del Rocío; Sanmartín Rojas, Iliana del CarmenThis paper analyzes the perception of quality, assessment and sensibility of Cotratudossa’s users regarding the tourist land transportation service. At first, some literature about customer service was reviewed as a strategic service, presenting the general data of the company and then through probe it was presented the satisfaction of the users of this service and its relation with the model of quality for touristic companies Servqual. The measuring of the satisfaction related to the specific customer service based on what each client considers as quality is a challenge that leads the investigator to enquire into answers obtained from the senses, through statistical analysis. The service sector is a very competitive field, where the quality has become in a basic requirement; for this, the strategy is to guarantee the constant growing, especially in customer service, to be a pioneer company in quality service, facing the competence.Item Análisis de una estrategia de marketing para la comercialización de los productos turísticos de la Agencia de Viajes y Operadora de Turismo “Rutas y Rostros” Cía. Ltda(2015) Cruz Valdez, Sofía Jacqueline; Pesántez Loyola, Sandra ElizabethThis essay was developed with the objective to establish marketing strategies suitable to the environment from the travel agency and tour operator Rutas y Rostros Ecuador previous an external and internal analysis of the current situation of the company. To set a proposal according to the needs of the Agency, a qualitative study through a focus group was conducted. With the quantitative methodology and using the method of the survey, relevant information from the users point of view of the travel agencies was compiled, in order to be able to offer strategic actions to promote a better development in the commercial activity of the company. As a result of the investigation, the delimitation of two marketing targets that Rutas and Rostros Ecuador should be approached was obtained, each one its own strategy and specific actions that arises must be applied with the objective that the company will be able to establish itself in the market through a product characterized by differentiation and a constant promotion program that will allow customer loyalty and through them can expand to more people.Item El turismo comunitario como alternativa económica para la comunidad Jatumpamba en el cantón Azogues(2015) Verdugo Rubio, Alicia Magaly; Malo Ottati, Santiago JoséThis research paper is aimed to find a possible alternative of developing as well as enhancing the economical growth of Jatumpamba Community, located in Azogues, throughout the use of Communitarian (Rural) Tourism. Jatumpamba, which main economical activity is Agriculture, still preserves its own cultural features such as the manufacture of the famous handmade toquilla hat, well known as Panama hat, besides pottery, story-telling, ancient agricultural practices,etc. All of these activities turn this place into a perfect alternative to escape from the daily routine. Rural Tourism in Azogues has not been properly exploited yet, therefore, through this research paper an appropriate list of touristic attractions of Jatumpamba has been assembled as well as stating the Researcher’s main proposal of reactivating some of the rural touristic activities in order to increase the local economy by generating new jobs that could prevent further migration.Item Análisis del perfil del turista en el cantón La Troncal, provincia del Cañar(2015) Lliguisupa León, Ana Mariela; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaThis research entitled "Analysis of tourist´s profile in La Troncal city, Cañar´s province” arises from the need and importance of knowing the profile of the people who arrive to La Troncal. Tourists are the component that give movement to the touristic system. They demand touristic services, facilities and other complementary services from a destination. If you don´t know it, How can you offer, promote and get the Tourism´s development?. La Troncal city is the economic center of Cañar´s province, There are many touristic places in this area and It is the only city of Cañar with a tropical climate. For this reason La Troncal arouses the interest of many tourists. In this research paper It has been made a descriptive and explicative research throughout of the analysis and interpretation of the obtained results obtained. Also It has been used a quantitative and qualitative method with their different techniques such as survey, interview, records and direct observation. The purpose of this research paper is to know the characteristics of the visitors such as their place of origin, motivation, the length time of the stay, the services request and more, so La Troncal city can use this information to develop and increase the touristic offer to foreigners. In addition with the conclusion of this essay is to promote a research culture in the city; because It´ll serve as a base for the design of new projects to the social, economic and tourist development of the La Troncal.
