This research describes the training school supported Manuela Garaicoa Calderon High School. For the study involving eight teenage mothers belonging to the integral formation of the students of that institution program. A theoretical collection on the basics of the program also expectations that teenage mothers have was conducted , there is a qualitative study in which the tool focus group was used to verify the experience and knowledge that the program has provided and regarding their future.Item Evaluación de la madurez intelectual general en niños de 4 a 5 años de la Unidad Educativa Del Milenio Manuela Garaicoa De Calderón, Cuenca 2019.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-01-31) Cobos Jáuregui, Nicole Alejandra; Tacuri Tacuri, Patricia Alexandra; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBACKGROUND: The General Intellectual Maturity of children depends on: their biological basis, their environment and the factors in which they develop; which encompasses the different skills and knowledge they have acquired, because learning is balanced and harmonious, which is why we are currently looking for different ways to expand their level of knowledge and encourage them to experience new forms of learning that help to enhance their Basic intellectual development for formal education. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Evaluate the general intellectual maturity of children from 4 to 5 years of the school “Unidad Educativa del Milenio Manuela Garaicoa de Calderón”. METHODOLOGY: Quantitative prospective descriptive observational study, that considered as population all children aged 4 to 5 years attending the Millennium Education Unit Manuela Garaicoa de Calderón evening hours (N = 96) of the city of Cuenca . The collection of data was of primary source through the application of the BADyG-i Battery and the survey form. For the analysis and tabulation of results, the software IBM SPSS free Spanish version 22 was used, as well as Microsoft Excel 2013 and Microsoft Word 2013. RESULTS: The following results were obtained: 50% of the population corresponds to the male and female sex in the same proportion, of the total of the children evaluated, 39.6% have a level of average general intellectual maturity, of this percentage 21.9 % are female. While 21.9% are in the age range of 5 years 0 months to 5 years 11 months. Deficits or delays in learning are not always easy to detect, until the school stage begins, being important to evaluate early each of the skills, intellectual aptitudes and to know strengths or weaknesses in early childhood. The use of the BADyG/i test allows us to know the level of children's intellectual maturity. Objective: To determine the general intellectual maturity in boys and girls from 5 to 6 years old of the Francisca Arízaga Toral Educational Unit, through the application of the Differentials and Generals Aptitudes Battery / Level i - BADyG/i. Methodology: Prospective descriptive observational quantitative study of children aged 5-6 years from the Francisca Arízaga Toral school. Data collection was carried out through the application of BADyG/i, and the results were obtained using the following statistical software: IBM SPSS 22.0 free version, Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft Word 2019. Results: Of the total population investigated, 51.0% correspond to the male sex, of which 16.3% presented a Very Low General Intellectual Maturity Level; 49.0% belong to the female sex, with 12.2% at both Very Low and Medium levels. According to age, 53.1% belonged to the range of 6 years to 6 years 11 months. In general, 28.6% of the population presented a very low level of general intellectual maturity.Item Evaluación de la madurez neuropsicológica a niños de 3 a 5 años, del Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo, Azogues 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-09-16) González Gutiérrez, Andrea Monserrath; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraDuring early childhood, the assessment of neurodevelopment is important, highlighting the evaluation of Neuropsychological Maturity; for, in the presence of warning signs of cognitive and behavioral functions an early attention to these needs of the child and his family, prevents or minimizes alterations in their development by enhancing their skills and guaranteeing their future learning; therefore, the application of the Child Neuropsychological Maturity Questionnaire (CUMANIN) in children who attend the Homero Castanier Crespo Hospital is necessary to determine the degree of neuropsychological maturity. General Objective To evaluate the neuropsychological maturity of children from 3 to 5 years of the Homero Castanier Crespo Hospital. Methodology Quantitative, observational descriptive, prospective study of children from 3 to 5 years attending the Homero Castanier Crespo Hospital. The data collection was carried out with the application of the CUMANIN Test and medical history. For the analysis of the results, the statistical program IBM SPSS Statistics 25, Microsoft Excel 2016 and Microsoft Word 2016 were used. Results Of the total population investigated, 55,6% belong to the female sex, of which 11,1% presented a deficit in their level of neuropsychological maturity, while 22,2% presented alert and satisfactory in the same percentage; 44,4% belong to the male sex, with 8,3% in a deficit, 16,7% in alert and 19,4% in satisfactory in relation to their neuropsychological maturity. Depending on the age, 50,0% belongs to the range of 4 years – 4 years,11 months. In general, 41,7% of the studied population presented a satisfactory level in their neuropsychological maturity.Item Evaluación de las habilidades funcionales en niños y niñas del Centro de Desarrollo Infantil de la Universidad de Cuenca, 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-04-28) Ávila Galarza, Jazmina Gabriela; Maldonado Feijoo, Cynthia Daniela; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBACKGROUND Child development is a set of conditions that influence the acquisition of skills and behaviours that allow relating and interacting with the environment, hence the importance of determining the degree of dependence on functional skills. Reason why, in this research, the PEDI-CAT Inventory was used to evaluate the children of CEDIUC, in order to detect deficiencies in their development. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the functional skills in children of the Child Development Center of the University of Cuenca. METHODOLOGY The study was a prospective quantitative descriptive research project, carried out at the Child Development Center of the University of Cuenca, the “PEDI-CAT” inventory was applied to a sample of 50 children. For data analysis and tabulation, the IBM SPSS program, version 23.0, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 2019 were used. RESULTS In the present study, formed by a sample of 50 children from CEDIUC, where the age range of 4 to 6 years old belongs to the highest percentage with 44%. In reference to the functional domains, the following results were obtained: in the area of daily activities, 36% of the population presented high alertness; in the area of mobility, 32% did not present dependence; in the area of social/cognitive, 42% presented high alertness; in the area of responsibility, 56% of the population did not present dependence; in the area of mobility, 32% did not present dependence; in the area of social/cognitive, 42% presented high alertness; and in the area of responsibility, 56% of the population did not present dependence.Item Evaluación de las habilidades psicolingüisticas de los niños y niñas de 4 a 5 años de edad de la Parroquia San Joaquín – centro parroquial, Cuenca 2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-07-28) Apolo Herrera, Carol Andrea; Lozano Ceron, Cindy Pamela; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraChild neurodevelopment is a complex process that begins from conception and evolves systematically, it will develop and maximize during the first years of life, if adequate stimulation is provided. However; not all children have the resources and opportunities to enhance their abilities, for this reason, we saw the need to evaluate the preschoolers of the San Joaquín parish – Centro Parroquial using the instrument of evaluation Test Illinois of Psycholinguistic Aptitudes (ITPA). General objetive Evaluate the psycholinguistic abilities of boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 5 from the San Joaquín - Centro Parroquial. Methodology A quantitative study of a prospective descriptive and observational type, which was carried out on boys and girls between 4 and 5 years of age who belong to the San Joaquín - Centro Parroquial, using the ITPA test, Cuenca 2020. For analysis and tabulation of results, it was used the program: IBM SPSS version 23 Spanish free, Microsoft Excel 2019 and Microsoft Word 2019. Results The study was carried out with a sample of 90 participants, of which 52.2% are female and 47.8% male; of the total of the children evaluated, 48.9% show an adequate psycholinguistic level for their chronological age, 31.1% present a higher psycholinguistic level for their chronological age and only 20.0% present a psycholinguistic level lower than their chronological age.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor a niños de 2 a 5 años de edad con el test tepsi en los Centros de Desarrollo Infantil: Mis Pequeños Pandas y Kinder Garden. When certain skills develop slowly, a risk or delay in psychomotor development is presumed. The TEPSI test assesses psychomotor development and determines the risk or delay in the psychomotor development of children, in order to intervene in time. Objective: To determine the psychomotor development of children aged 2 to 5 years belonging to the Child Development Centers "Mis Pequeños Pandas and Kinder Garden", using the TEPSI Cuenca-2022 test. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational study. Sample of n=60 children belonging to the Mis Pequeños Pandas and Kinder Garden Child Development Centres. Data collection was carried out using the TEPSI psychomotor development test and a data form. The analysis and tabulation of the results used IBM SPSS version 22, Microsoft Excel and Word 2016. Results: Of the total population, 58.3% is male. Of the total population, 58.3% were boys, 40% were aged 3-4 and 4-5 years respectively. The level of psychomotor development that stood out was within the normal profile, with 50 cases representing 83.3% of the total number of children, 6 cases at risk (10%) and 4 cases in delay (6.7%). Conclusion: From the population evaluated, 40 children between the ages of 3 and 5 years with a normal psychomotor development profile stand out.Item Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor en niños y niñas de 0 a 5 años de la comunidad Chunazana, mediante el inventario de desarrollo Battelle, Nabón 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-05-05) Carchi Lalbay, Jessica Nathaly; Crespo Guillen, Paulette Leticia; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBackground: Psychomotor development is the continuous evolution of functional abilities in children. If certain skills are acquired slowly, abnormally or not at all, it may mean a delayed psychomotor development influenced by various factors. Therefore, Battelle Developmental Inventory is considered a great help in revealing the child's developmental age, allowing timely intervention if necessary. Objective: To evaluate psychomotor development in children from 0 to 5 years old, in Chunazana community applying Battelle Development Inventory, Nabón 2021. Methodology: The applied methodology is a quantitative study of prospective descriptive observational type in the community of Chunazana - Nabón. The data collection procedure was carried out through the application of Battelle Development Inventory. For the analysis and tabulation of the results, the used programs were IBM SPSS version 22, Microsoft Excel and Word 2016. The chi 2 statistical test (p ˂ 0.05). Results: According to the investigated population, the results were divided into male and female sex getting the following results. Male sex that represents the 53.8% got 51.2% the midpoint of psychomotor development and 48.8% in the weak point. At the same time, Female sex that represents the 46.2% got 59.5% in the middle point and 40.5% in the weak point. About the age, 53.8% belong to the preschool level. Thus, 55% of the population studied is at the midpoint of psychomotor developmentItem Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor en niños y niñas de 0 a 5 años de la Parroquia San Francisco de Gualleturo, mediante la escala revisada de desarrollo psicomotor Brunet Lézine, Cañar 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-04-10) Vázquez Ortiz, Carla Elizabeth; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBackground: Psychomotor development is the evolution of the child's own abilities that are acquired with the advance of time, especially in the first years of life; the evaluation of psychomotor development is an essential factor to detect deficits or delays in it. Objective: To evaluate the psychomotor development in boys and girls from 0 to 5 years of age from San Francisco de Gualleturo parish, using the revised Brunet- Lezine psychomotor development scale, 2022. Methodology: This study is a quantitative, descriptive, analytical, prospective cross-sectional approach, in a population of 113 boys and girls, using the revised Brunet-Lézine psychomotor development scale. The data was collected in a form and analyzed with the statistical package SPSS version 22. Results: Of the population investigated, 52.2% belong to the male sex, 42.5% correspond to preschool age, the level of prevalent psychomotor development was normal with 94.7%, and the level of education of the parents or primary caregivers is 55.8% belong to basic general education or high school. Conclusion: The 94.7% of the children presented normal psychomotor development and 5.3% a global delay in development.Item Multidimensionalidad de la calidad de vida de los niños y niñas que asisten al Centro de Desarrollo Infantil de la Universidad de Cuenca CEDIUC 2016(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Ciencias Médicas, 2017-04) Brito Criollo, Tania Alexandra; Jaramillo Oyervide, Julio AlfredoOBJECTIVE: To identify and describe the quality of life of children at the Child Development Center of the University of Cuenca CEDIUC, 2016. METHODOLOGY: It is a cross-sectional, observational, descriptive study of 113 CEDIUC users, a data collection form was used. The results were analyzed with the statistical package SPSS 15.00, using frequencies, percentages, chi square and probability value. RESULTS: Starting with the outcomes, the 76.1% of the total population had an inadequate quality of life associated with poor economic income, 38.1%, followed by 31.9% with precarious economic income. The 31.9% of the users presented disability and 68.1% risk factors in the development. The 63.7% had difficulties to face the cost of health, the 15.9% of users belonged to families where there was consumption of alcohol, 18.6% had underweight and 6.2% had overweight. CONCLUSION: It was found that the quality of life of children is conditioned by poverty, alcohol consumption and the presence of disability and risk factors in child development.Item Nivel de estrés de las madres de niños y niñas hospitalizados en el área de neonatología del Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo, Azogues 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-07-26) Buitron Vera, Amy Rossana; Meneses Sanmartín, Janneth Fernanda; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraThe hospitalization of a newborn creates a psychological impact on mothers due to the interruption of the mother-child bond. It distorts the parents’ expectations of having a healthy child, includes stress, anxiety and even depression. The role of the Early Stimulator in this process is to help parents create this bond. Objective: To identify the level of stress of mothers with children hospitalized in the neonatal area of the Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo, 2022. Methodology: Observational, descriptive and prospective study, with a sample of 121 mothers with children hospitalized in Neonatology, to whom were applied the forum of date recollection and the Parental Stress Scale: Neonatal Intensive Care unit. Processing the data in the following programs: IBM SPSS version 25 Spanish, Microsoft Excel 2019, calculating: mean, mode, median and standard deviation. Results: Of the population studied, 52, 1% of the mothers were between 18-26 years old, the 38, 8% live in a free union. Mothers with an education at high school level make up 3%, 60. In general, 62% of the mothers present a serious level of stress. Conclusions: The mother who presents the greatest stress are those who live in a consensual union, being the mothers between 22-26 years old with more stress, having a level of education mostly of high school, predominating the level of serious stress in the study.Item Tamizaje del aprendizaje y desarrollo infantil en niños de 0 a 5 años del Centro de Educación Inicial Particular Mi Génesis, Cuenca, 2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-06-19) Sánchez Nievecela, Miriam Lucia; Brito Criollo, Tania Alexandra3 Miriam Lucia Sánchez Nievecela Abstract Background: Child development is a process in which children acquire skills and abilities continuously and chronologically in the first years of life and, as they interact with stimuli, they go through changes that will directly influence the child's future academic performance. /a during the school period, therefore, it is essential to detect possible delays in development and learning early. In the present investigation, the children were evaluated through the Child Learning and Development Test (TADI). Aim: To evaluate the level of child learning and development through the Child Learning and Development Test (TADI) in boys and girls from 0 months to 5 years old who attend the Mi Génesis Private Early Education Center, Cuenca, 2023. Methodology:Descriptive cross-sectional research carried out on 64 boys and girls from 0 to 5 years old from the Mi Genesis Private Initial Education Center. The data obtained was collected using the data collection form and processed using the SPSS25 program. Results: Of the population investigated, 53.12% corresponded to the male sex, 18.7% corresponded to children aged 3 years to 3 years and 6 months. The type of nuclear family had 48.33% of the cases, followed by single parents with 31.25%. 60.94% of parents had a higher level of education. Conclusions: 84.38% of the population investigated presents normal Learning and Development.Item Tamizaje del desarrollo infantil en los niños y niñas de 4 a 60 meses en el Centro de Salud Mariano Estrella, Cuenca,2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-11-07) Avendaño Valdiviezo, Cristina Marcela; Zambrano Plasencia, Gabriela Abigail; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBackground: Child development is a process in which children acquire complex skills and abilities as they interact with different stimuli in their environment. If a child develops certain skills slowly or not at all, a lag or risk of developmental delay is suspected. The EDI test evaluates child development and identifies risk factors, allowing timely action to be taken in the face of threats to child development. Objective: To determine the level of child development in children aged 4 to 60 months in the Mariano Estrella health center using the EDI test. Cuenca 2022. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study in a population of 147 children of the Mariano Estrella Health Center. Data were collected using the Child Development Test (EDI) and the data collection form. IBM SPSS version 23, Microsoft Excel and Word 2019 were used for the analysis and tabulation of the results. Results: Of the population studied, 57.8% was male, 44.9% belonged to the older infant age group (12-35 months); 61.2% showed typical development, 13.6% were lagging behind and 25.2% were at risk of developmental delay in both sexes. Conclusion: In the research population, the socio-economic status variable showed a statistically significant correlation (p = 0.011) in relation to child development outcomes.Item Valoración de la conducta en niños de 3 a 5 años en los Centros de Desarrollo Infantil Chiquititos y Nenes de la ciudad de Gualaceo 2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-03-23) Carangui Jara, Ximena Marisol; Quezada Shiminaicela, Christian Samuel; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBACKGROUND: Behavior is a characteristic of each single person and is made up from the first years of life, behavior problems are a cause of concern for parents and educators, since children present inappropriate behaviors by not achieving their wishes, causing frustration to the people in their environment, problems in learning, development or other consequences in the future. Thus; the importance of assessing behavior in a timely manner, to intervene and get the child to modify his behavior. The Eyberg inventory is a questionnaire aimed at parents and teachers, who provide information on the behavior of infants in the last 3 months, allowing us to identify the presence of risk, with or without behavioralteration. General purpose: - Determine the behavior of children from 3 to 5 years old in the child development centers "Chiquititos" and "Nenes" of Gualaceo. Methodology Descriptive, prospective cross-sectional study; carried out with 87 children between 3 and 5 years old from the "Chiquititos" and "Nenes" child development centers, through an interview with parents or caretakers. For the processing and analysis of statistical data, the programs SPSS 2016 and Microsoft Excel 2016 were used; the results are shown in tables and graphs, percentages for quantitative data and frequencies for qualitative ones. Results: From the 63 parents interviewed, it was found that 46% of children belong to a range of 4 - 4 years 11 months of chronological age. Regarding sex; 49.2% belong to men and 50.8% to women. Regarding family functionality, 58.7% to functional family. Regarding the socioeconomic level, 73% corresponds to a typical average level.Item Valoración de la madurez neuropsicológica en preescolares de inicial I-II de la Unidad Educativa Zoila Aurora Palacios. Cuenca 2019.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-06-17) Sarmiento Rodríguez, Valeria Estefanía; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraBACKGROUND: The dynamic interaction process of boys and girls with the environment that surrounds them is of vital importance for the acquisition of cognitive and behavioral functions that will intervene in the neurodevelopment and maturation of the nervous system, since this is a period of great importance in brain development, since it is where the main basic neural connections for learning and behavior are established, so knowing neuropsychological maturity in the preschool stage is essential to prevent, detect and treat learning problems. OVERALL OBJECTIVE: Assess the neuropsychological maturity of preschoolers of initial I-II, in the Zoila Aurora Palacios Educational Unit. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Study is quantitative of descriptive observational type, taken as a population all preschool children who attend the Zoila Aurora Palacios Education Unit morning an evening sections (N = 80). The collection procedure was of primary source through the application of the CUMANIN test and the data collection form. For the analysis and tabulation of the results, the program was used: IBM SPSS free Spanish version 22, Microsoft Excel 2016 and Microsoft Word 2016. RESULTS: Of the 80 children evaluated, 62,5% were found in the middle level in terms of their neuropsychological maturity, according to the female predominant sex with 51,3%, 42,5% of preschoolers in the range of 4 years to 4 years 11 months, according to the data of the representatives are 52,5% married, with secondary education 56,3% at a poor socioeconomic level and the type of nuclear family 51,3%.Item Valoración del perfilpsicomotor en niños preescolares de la Escuela Leoncio Cordero Jaramillo. Cuenca 2020(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-01-15) García Angüisaca, Pamela Andrea; Zárate Falconí, Mayra Soledad; Brito Criollo, Tania AlexandraANTECEDENTS: The psychomotor problems are of constant frequency and great impact for the family and the society, these can be transitory, but also,they can be cause of permanent disability, for that reason the early detection is fundamental. The use of the Preschool Psychomotor Evaluation scale allows us to determine if there is a low, normal or high psychomotor profile which contributes to a later intervention if necessary. OBJECTIVE: Determine the psychomotor profile in children from 3 to 5 years old of the Leoncio Cordero Jaramillo School by means of the Preschool Psychomotor Evaluation scale. METHODOLOGY: The proposed descriptive, prospective study was developed in the Leoncio Cordero Jaramillo School located in the city of Cuenca, in a population of 81 children. The collection procedure was from a primary source through the application of the Preschool Psychomotor Evaluation scale and the data collection form. For its statistical analysis the program SPSS 23.0 was used, for the variables descriptive statistics with frequencies and percentages were used, the data were expressed in tables.RESULTSThe good psychomotor profile was the predominant result in the areas of locomotion with 97.5%; positions 88.9%; balance 88.9%; leg coordination 91.4%; body scheme in other 72.8%; while in the areas of arm coordination with 48.1% and hand coordination with 49.4%; theyobtained their results in the good and normal profiles simultaneously. Only body schema itself has 49.4% in the normal psychomotor profile.
