Abstract: | This research focuses on the theme of museums related to the learning of archaeological heritage
within the Pumapungo museum in the city of Cuenca. Well, they do not know about studies carried
out by other authors on the subject of nonformal education within the locality. And that is where
the importance of investigating within the named museum is born. For this, the main objective
was to analyze the relationship between the current state of the archaeological heritage and its
social value. The development is based on a documentary methodology, such as the use of the
newspaper Diario el Mercurio and the social networks Facebook and Instagram, the museum's
own pages. And on the other hand, ethnographic based on the survey and the interview, both
developed online, which have made it possible to identify the reality that has been generated. It
has also allowed an approach to the perceptions of the people who were surveyed and
interviewed. Finally, as results, the issue of guides was identified in the first place, taking into
account that they play an important role within the institution when addressing visitors, whether
they are students or tourists. On the other hand, the lack of disclosure regarding the
archaeological heritage, which must be taken into consideration within society either from the
school through the curriculum or from the approach of the nearby population in the first instance
in order to provide communication from the micro to macro. |
