For this reason, instructors in all levels of study and disciplines must teach higher order thinking skills because they demand many benefits for students such as being long-learners, problem solvers, and discoverers of new things. In the teaching-learning English as a foreign language, it is necessary that students start to develop higher order thinking skills as including analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating, instead of exercising only the basic skills of language.
