In the teaching-learning English as a foreign language, it is necessary that students start to develop higher order thinking skills as including analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating, instead of exercising only the basic skills of language. This work will teach students to differentiate facts from opinions, identify logical fallacies, preview, evaluate arguments, reflect on different topics, outline, summarize, paraphrase, make concept maps, compare and contrast, establish causes and effects of any action, classify, etc. All these strategies help students to foster critical thinking skills, but in a foreign language, it cannot be easy to do this, because students may have limited vocabulary to express in their target language, or they may be accustomed to learn anything by memorizing
