La evolución del trabajo no-remunerado en el hogar durante la pandemia del Covid-19 en la parroquia Hermano Miguel del cantón Cuenca vista desde la perspectiva de género

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of Covid-19 on unpaid work at home in the Hermano Miguel parish, in Cuenca. For this, a survey and a structured interview were applied to the residents of the parish. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS and ATLAS TI programs, in addition to being triangulated to corroborate their relationship with the theory obtained through the literature review. The results indicated that women were responsible for most of the domestic activities and that the workload was perceived as higher. Likewise, the men of the household became partially involved in household chores after the pandemic. The present investigation allowed to show that the gender inequality that manifests itself through an unequal distribution of labors continues to be present in the parish Hermano Miguel of Cuenca, despite finding a change within the family dynamics.
