dc.descriptionLas diferencias regionales en las manifestaciones clínicas de la neurocisticercosis humana (NCC) pueden indicar un papel de la genética del huésped. Hemos examinado si existe agregación familiar de convulsiones en familiares de primer grado de pacientes con NCC incautación frente a los pacientes NCC sin convulsiones como la presentación de los síntomas en un grupo de pacientes en Ecuador. Los resultados de nuestros análisis eran nulas, y no hubo tendencia a la agregación familiar de convulsiones en pacientes NCC.es_ES
dc.description.abstractRegional differences in the clinical manifestations of human neurocysticercosis (NCC) may indicate a role of host genetics. We examined whether there is familial aggregation of seizures in first-degree relatives of NCC patients with seizure versus NCC patients without seizure as presenting symptom in a group of patients in Ecuador. The results of our analyses were null, and there was no trend toward familial aggregation of seizures in NCC patients.es_ES
