Abstract

Resumen

This thesis proposes six portfolios: music, television, friendship, trip, sports, and movie, for teaching English as additional methodological strategies. Each one had been selected directly from students' views, interests, and likes. Moreover, we designed the portfolios based on two specific methods for teaching-learning English: The Communicative Approach and Task-Based Activities. The Constructivist Theory and Meaningful Learning will also provide us with the overall view of the teaching learning theory. Besides, the six portfolios aim to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through interesting, colorful, and motivating topics. Vocabulary is also included as a key on each page giving students essential lexical support while they are reading. Finally, we hope that teachers and students of English will use this thesis as a supportive material in their English classes
