Evaluación del desarrollo psicomotor de niños y niñas de preparatoria de la Unidad Educativa Bilingüe Interamericana. Cuenca 2022

Abstract

The first years of life are essential for an aproppiate integrated development of children because those are the moments they are exposed to a number of stimuli, which will influence their growth whit activities that benefit their motor, social, cognitive, and communicational skills. This will definitely have an impact on childrens future learning; however, this might also be affected because of prenatal, perinatal, or postnatal factors. Therefore, this study aims to identify the psychomotor development of the children attending Bilingual School, using the Brunet-Lezine test. General objective To determine the psychomotor development of children attending Interamerican Bilingual School. Methodology This is a descriptive and quantitative study. The purpose was to evaluate the psychomotor development of four- to six -year-old children attending Interamerican Bilingual School using the Brunet-Lezine test. The results were tabulated using the statistical software IBM SPSS, version 22 Results The results show that 47% of the participants were male, in regard to the socioeconomic status, the middle level is prevalent at 82,4%; and 53,71% of their parents have been to college. Finally, 96,25% of the participants show appropriate development, and 3,75% show deficiency in their development.
