Abstract
There have been a descriptive study on knowledge, attitudes and practices [Capsis] to close the game and recreation in child and parents of Ezequiel Schools and Remigio Crespo Crespo of the urban area of Cuenca, where forms were applied previously established for 180 children and 173 parents of both schools. The most representative aspects found in our study is the relationship of the TV with the behavior and development of children; the continuity of the practice of punishment and repression against the game; cultural and low transmission loss of traditional games in the schools studied; the high degree of socialization of children through the practice of sports; the short time spent by parents to share with their children increased their work hours and spend their free time on television, the belief by parents that the child needs toys sofistificados for recreation; the delegation of parental roles to older children in the care of younger siblings; a significant percentage of the absence of the father in the home was noted due to neglect or migration, framed in the socio-economic and cultural means families under study context
Resumen
Se han realizado un estudio descriptivo sobre los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas [CAPSïs] a cerca del juego y de la recreación en niño y padres de las Escuelas Ezequiel Crespo y Remigio Crespo de la zona urbano de Cuenca, en donde se aplicaron formularios previamente establecidos para 180 niños y 173 padres de ambas escuelas. Los aspectos más representativos que encontramos en nuestro estudio son la relación que tiene la televisión con el comportamiento y desarrollo del niño; la continuidad de las práctica del castigo y la represión frente al juego; la pérdida cultural y escasa transmisión de los juegos tradicionales en las escuelas estudiadas; el alto grado de socialización de los niños mediante la práctica de los deportes; el poco tiempo dedicado por los padres a compartir con sus hijos por el incremento de sus horas de trabajo y el dedicar su tiempo libre a la televisión, la creencia por parte de los padres a que el niño necesita juguetes sofistificados para su recreación; la delegación de funciones de los padres a los hijos mayores en el cuidado de sus hermanos menores; se notó un porcentaje significativo de ausencia del padre en el hogar debido a abandono o migración, esto enmarcado en el contexto socio-económico y cultural, medio bajo de las familias del estudio
