Abstract
This degree project focuses on the elaboration of the architectural design of an educational unit for the rural parish of Molleturo in the canton of Cuenca. The initiative arises as a response to the growing educational crisis faced by the institution due to the constant increase of students, exceeding the capacity of the current infrastructure and compromising the quality of education offered. The research is divided into five chapters.
The first one analyzes the historical and geographical background of Molleturo, recognizing the identity of the place and its social trajectory.
In the second chapter, case studies of educational centers are examined, extracting implementation strategies for the establishment’s proposal. The third chapter analyzes the current state of the site and its surroundings, considering urban, demographic and topographic factors. The fourth chapter focuses on the design of the architectural blueprint for the Molleturo Educational Unit, incorporating previously identified criteria with the intention of resolving the lack of space and establishing a harmonious relationship with the environment.
Resumen
El presente proyecto de titulación se enfoca en la elaboración del anteproyecto arquitectónico de la Unidad Educativa para la parroquia rural Molleturo del cantón Cuenca. La iniciativa surge como respuesta a la creciente crisis educativa que enfrenta la institución debido al constante aumento de estudiantes, superando la capacidad de la infraestructura actual y comprometiendo la calidad de la educación ofrecida. La investigación se divide en cinco capítulos. El primero analiza los antecedentes históricos y geográficos de Molleturo, reconociendo la identidad del lugar y su trayectoria social. En el segundo capítulo, se examinan casos de estudio de centros educativos, extrayendo estrategias de implantación para la propuesta del establecimiento. En el tercer capítulo realiza un análisis del estado actual del sitio y su entorno, considerando factores urbanos, demográficos y topográficos. El cuarto capítulo se enfoca en el diseño del anteproyecto arquitectónico para la Unidad Educativa Molleturo, incorporando criterios previamente identificados con lo cual se tiene la intención de resolver la falta de espacios además de establecer una relación armoniosa con el entorno.
