Abstract
Background: Maternal satisfaction with nursing care for newborns is an issue of growing importance in the field of maternal and child care. Previous research has demonstrated the importance of good care for hospitalized newborns and their recovery. It has also been noted that mothers' satisfaction not only influences their own experience in the hospital environment, but also the well-being and progress of newborns. General Objective: To determine the level of satisfaction of others with nursing care for newborns treated at the Pablo Jaramillo Crespo Foundation Humanitarian Hospital and the José Carrasco Arteaga Specialty Hospital, Cuenca 2024-2025. Methodology: This research had a quantitative approach, descriptive design and cross-sectional cohort, with a sample of 34 mothers to whom a 36-question questionnaire was applied. The data collected were transcribed and analyzed in the statistical program SPSS version 30 and later interpreted by percentages and frequencies. Results: A high level of satisfaction predominated with 55.9% and the age of greatest prevalence was 35-45 years (44.1), when analyzing the dimensions, it was observed that 91.2% had a medium level in the technical-scientific section, high 76.5% in the human extension and 97.1% was medium in terms of the environment. Conclusions: There is a high satisfaction of nursing care to newborns, the participants were mostly 35-45 years old, married and with a high educational level and only the human dimension reached a high level compared to the others.

Antecedentes: La satisfacción de las madres sobre el cuidado de enfermería a neonatos es un tema de creciente importancia en el campo de la atención materno-infantil. Investigaciones previas demostraron la importancia de una buena atención a recién nacidos hospitalizados y su recuperación. También han señalado que la satisfacción de las madres no solo influye en su propia experiencia en el entorno hospitalario, sino también en el bienestar y el progreso de los neonatos. Objetivo General: Determinar el nivel de satisfacción de las madres sobre el cuidado de Enfermería a neonatos atendidos en el Hospital Humanitario Fundación Pablo Jaramillo Crespo y el Hospital de Especialidades José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca 2024-2025. Metodología: Esta investigación tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo y cohorte transversal, con una muestra de 34 madres a las cuales se les aplicó un cuestionario de 36 preguntas. Los datos recogidos fueron transcritos y analizados en el programa estadístico SPSS versión 30 y posteriormente interpretados mediante porcentajes y frecuencias. Resultados: Predominó un nivel alto de satisfacción con 55.9% y la edad de mayor prevalencia fue de 35-45 años (44.1), al analizar las dimensiones, se observó que el 91.2% tenía un nivel medio en el apartado técnico-científico, alto un 76.5% en la extensión humana y el 97.1% era medio en cuanto al entorno. Conclusiones: Existe una satisfacción alta del cuidado de enfermería a neonatos, las participantes mayormente eran de 35-45 años, casadas y con nivel educativo alto y solo la dimensión humana alcanzó un nivel alto a comparación de las otras.
