Estilos de crianza y la funcionalidad del sistema familiar de los estudiantes de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Quingeo, Cuenca – Azuay, 2025

Abstract
The Student Counseling Department of the Quingeo Educational Unit has observed several behavioral problems of students, among which are bullying, alcohol consumption and parental neglect towards the care and upbringing of their children. Therefore, they considered the implementation of this research to be appropriate and pertinent, with the intention that the relational results between parenting styles and family functionality can provide feedback to the future of their educational mission and in order to guarantee a quality educational process that contributes to the integral development of adolescents in the context that surrounds them. The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship that exists between parenting styles and the functionality of the family system of high school students of the Quingeo Educational Unit, Cuenca-Azuay, 2025. In addition, it had a descriptive scope for which two instruments were used: (i) Family Functionality Questionnaire (Palaguachi, 2024, p.57), (ii) Parenting Scale (Valdiviezo, 2022, p. 34-35). The most relevant results compiled in the research are that, of the total of 120 students surveyed, 52.1% present a moderately functional family; on the other hand, the most perceived parenting style is authoritarian with 51.2% of the respondents. Similarly, within the dimensions of family functionality, it was found that 28.9% of the students perceive communication problems within their family system parenting styles, family functionality, dimensions of family functionality.
Resumen
El Departamento de Consejería Estudiantil de la Unidad Educativa Quingeo ha observado varias problemáticas comportamentales de los estudiantes, entre las cuales se enuncia el bullying, consumo de alcohol y negligencia de los progenitores hacia el cuidado y la crianza de sus hijos. Por lo cual consideraron acertada y pertinente la implementación de la presente investigación, con la intención de que los resultados relacionales entre estilos de crianza y la funcionalidad familiar, puedan retroalimentar el devenir su misión educativa y de cara a garantizar un proceso educativo de calidad que aporte al desarrollo integral de las y los adolescentes en el contexto que los rodea. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la relación que existe entre los estilos de crianza y la funcionalidad del sistema familiar de los estudiantes de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Quingeo, Cuenca-Azuay, 2025. Se emplearon dos instrumentos: (i) Cuestionario de Funcionalidad Familiar (Palaguachi, 2024, p.57); y, (ii) Escala de Crianza (Valdiviezo, 2022, p. 34-35). Los resultados más relevantes que destacaron en el proceso de la investigación fueron que, del total de estudiantes encuestados (120 estudiantes), el 52,1% presentan una familia moderadamente funcional y, que el estilo de crianza con mayor prevalencia es el autoritario, con el 51,2% de los encuestados. Del mismo modo, dentro de las dimensiones de funcionalidad familiar que constituyen la herramienta, el 28,9% de los estudiantes perciben problemas en la comunicación dentro de su sistema familiar.
