Abstract
This work is a link between Art and Psychology within Cognitive Science. If it is not
understood how the subject processes information with respect to Art, it is impossible to
appreciate in a holistic way all the dimensions of the human being; including its
artistic-expressive facet. The expression of Art is an energetic investment in which the
creator of a work of Art shapes his vision of the world. This ability is developed over
time (not possessed since our evolutionary beginnings) and is the product of cognitive
processes such as memory, representation, problem solving and decision making. Each
person is a world and extracts the essence of his environment in an idiosyncratic way,
hence each person has a preference for a type of art that goes from the most figurative
to the most abstract. To understand Art is to understand an intimate part of Psychology.
Description
Este trabajo supone un vínculo entre el Arte y la Psicología dentro de la Ciencia
cognitiva. Si no se entiende logra entender cómo el sujeto procesa la información con
respecto al Arte, es imposible apreciar de manera holística todas las dimensiones del
ser humano; incluida su faceta artístico-expresiva. La expresión del Arte es una
inversión energética en la que el creador de una obra de Arte plasma su visión del
mundo. Esta habilidad es desarrollada a lo largo del tiempo (no se posee desde
nuestros comienzos evolutivos) y es el producto de procesos cognitivos como la
memoria, representación, resolución de problemas y toma de decisiones. Cada persona
es un mundo y extrae la esencia de su entorno de manera idiosincrásica, es de ahí que
cada persona tenga una preferencia por un tipo de arte que va de lo más figurativo a lo
más abstracto. Entender el Arte, es entender una parte íntima de la Psicología.
