Abstract
The present study was undertaken with the aim of demonstrating the onset and evolution of Physical Culture and the job training in this area, in the republic of Ecuador, for this method, historical logic, literature review, analysis and synthesis was used, information was gathered from books, newspapers, university and government websites, ministerial decrees; this highlighted five important steps that integrate events and providential events, momentous that marked the path of Physical Education, Sport and Recreation and the job training in this area in the country, the article is supplemented by an analysis of the evolution which occurred up to the present year 2014

El presente estudio se realizó con el objetivo de evidenciar el inicio y evolución de la Cultura Física y la formación de profesionales en esta área, en la república del Ecuador, para ello se utilizó los métodos, histórico lógico, revisión bibliográfica, análisis y síntesis, la información se recopiló de libros, periódicos, páginas web universitarias y gobierno, decretos ministeriales; esto permitió establecer cinco etapas importantes que integran acontecimientos y hechos providenciales, trascendentales que marcaron el camino de la Educación Física, el Deporte y la Recreación y la formación de profesionales en esta área en el país, el artículo se complementa con el análisis de la evolución acontecida hasta el presente año 2014.
