Item El acceso a los espacios públicos para las prácticas musicales en la ciudad de Cuenca(2017-05-11) Roldán Aráuz, Paola Gabriela; Arjona Cardona, Joan AntoniUrban public spaces are the scenario in which urban diversity converges. Among the cultural aspects, music plays an important role for this convergence of the citizens. However, musicians reckon that these spaces are not easily accessible because the Municipality of Cuenca has set an excessive amount of procedures for the acquisition of permits, since the GAD (local government) must look after the conservation of these public actives, citizen’s security and wellbeing. To research this conflict, local musicians are interviewed with the purpose of studying the needs they have over these spaces, the activities that take place within and the perceptions that musicians have about legislation and the entity responsible for their administration. In contrast, institutional requirements and regulations are also analysed to understand if musicians’ lack of interest for citizen participation can be justified. We conclude that, when it comes to public spaces, the local administration has substantive failures on the managing and distribution of public information, it also doesn’t fulfil a favourable role in citizen participation in Cuenca. On the other hand, flaws have been found in musicians as well, in whom the desire to receive economic and cultural benefits without the minimum intervention of their individual civil actions come to light. Finally, the level of involvement and individual necessity could be a determinant in their intentionality to access information from another source by themselves, which doesn’t happen in the local context.Item El acceso al microcrédito formal e informal y su impacto en la brecha de ingreso. Análisis en las provincias de Pichincha, Azuay y Guayas, año 2006(2015) Guanolique Tene, Jacqueline Patricia; Tenelanda Patiño, Jenny Maribel; Beltrán Romero, Pablo AníbalThis study aims to evaluate the impact of access to formal and informal micro-credit in the income gap for the provinces of Pichincha,Azuay and Guayas. Using information from the Living Conditions Survey period 2005 - 2006 (ECV-Fifth Round), where the study population are households own business that applied for funding. To determine the impact of microcredit was used the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) method. The results for the entire sample reflected a negative and significant impact only if general and formal microcredit. Later, to evaluate the effect of microcredit in homes that are located above and below the poverty line, the results were negative but not significant in the highest income households. To estimate the impact of microcredit segmented by province the results were negative in decreasing the gap, but statistically significant only in the province of Azuay (general microcredit) and Guayas (formal microcredit).Item La acción del estado en el agro del Azuay y su incidencia en las economías campesinas en el período 1979 a 1989(Universidad de Cuenca. One of these essential product lines belongs to the personal care section represented by all the Kotex products, that nearly five months ago, decided to incorporate a new sub-line called KOTEX-EVOLUTION. Due to its short period of life, this new sub-line, KOTEX-EVOLUTION has not been able to report on positioning and is currently facing new challenges when trying to achieve recognition in front of competitors. This is why the primary objective of this work is to inform the promise of value of the KOTEX-EVOLUTION sub-line in our city contributing to the raise of brand awareness through the implementation of what is called, a BTL advertising tactic. Two Exploratory Research studies have been conducted in order to obtain all the required information, one before and one after the BTL implementation. The first one is made up of two stages or processes: Qualitative Research (customer surveys in order to know the current positioning situation and brand awareness as well as benefits from retail partners when trying to get more stock) and Quantitative Research (the use of surveys to confirm results). The second research study, after the BTL implementation, has also used surveys that have helped test the effect and efficiency of the BTL tactic that has been previously chosen. Once the study has been carried out, here are the following conclusions: 1. At the beginning people didn’t really know the KOTEX-EVOLUTION product line and its values. 2. The BTL tactic did manage to reach the primary goal of the present work. Brand awareness increased by 15% as well as the desired positioning. 3. Kimberly-Clark should carry out sales promotions at retail partners to ensure brand awareness as well as product availability at various points of saleItem Activación de marca de productos con bajo nivel de ventas del Centro Gourmet Delicatensen de la Europea en la ciudad de Cuenca en el año 2013(2013) Gómez León, Ana Cristina; Merchán García, Verónica Elizabeth; Ortiz Escandón, Luis AlfredoThis thesis focuses on the development of brand activation for products with low levels of sales of the Delicatesen Gourmet Center of La Europea, which is located at Remigio Crespo Avenue and Lorenzo Piedra Street. Chapter I describes the general aspects of Food Industry La Europea and its Gourmet Center Delicatesen. It also describes an analysis and diagnosis of the current situation of the products which have low sales in the Gourmet Center. Chapter II describes the development of objectives and brand activation strategy for these products. In Chapter III we evaluate the results obtained by the brand activation and the achieve of objectives. Finally, we present conclusions and recommendations of this study.Item Activación de marca en redes sociales de la aplicación Mi Pichirilo en la ciudad de Cuenca(2013) Machado Cuzco, Cristian Xavier; Maldonado Hurtado, Italo Paul; Crespo Martínez, Paul EstebanThis project consists in the mark activation of an application for smart telephones, using social nets through creative strategies, trying to stand out the mark to generate new downloads. Mi Pichirilo® application is directed to people who have digital tools for the communication with access to the Internet and that look for methods that help them in their daily activities, in this case, of an application that reminds them important aspects related to their automobile, which can usually be forgotten or omitted until it is too late. A research study to know what the most appropriate way to get the target was made, and it was determined that people are very interested in publications that offer them information and entertainment; therefore, it was tried to satisfy these needs by means of a calendar that helps to keep a better control on the published contents, generating interest both on the page and on the publications and taking advantage of this interest to invite them to download the application. Publications such as tips about mechanics, classical cars, videos about car industry, among others, had a great impact; for that, it can be said that with creativity and fulfilling the planned activities, good results can be obtained on mark activation. The determination of the regulations that have affected accounting and financial aspects, was the basis for conducting interviews with managers and accountants of two cooperatives in segment two, Integral and ETAPA, and two in the segment three, ERCO and Alfonso Jaramillo León (CAJA), this way allowed to get valuable information in the development of this thesis, the knowing of the reality of cooperatives in our city, its strengths and weaknesses is an important part of the economy. The cost of impact, as well as summary tables that will give a clearer vision and synthesized the results of the investigation are presented, and following the same line of information exposure, the author’s proposal with the purpose of achieve the objectives of the thesis.
