    El abandono del adulto mayor dentro de su entorno familiar

    The following monograph nourishes from different theoretical and statistic arguments, the same that should be not considered definitive; however, it has tried to provide an argumentative criterion based on theories and critiques. In this society, where it is evidenced an increment in competitiveness and dehumanization, the abandonment of elder people in their family environment, constitutes a serious social problem. As a methodology for the investigation, the deductive method was applied that, through general conclusions, arrived at particular ideas, this will focus in an analytical way such as in the factor and in the consequences of the abandonment, it will also focus in the social work in the pro elder. Elder citizens will be analyzed consequently; including the ones related to the person such as: age, physical and emotional dependence, gender or the health condition. Also it is taken into account the factors related to the family environment, that is: economic problems, surplus of emotional and physical load, lack of knowledge from the person in charge, deficient family relationships, and place of residence, among others. Finally, based upon elder rights established in the Constitution, which determine the elder citizens must receive specialized attention priority, therefore the estate ought to regulate and take measures such as build specialized centers, develop programs aiming to promote personal autonomy, protection against violence, etc.

    Acogimiento institucional de niños, niñas y adolescentes

    Abstract The following work is an approach to child and young people abuse phenomenon.It designs adefinition and describes differentforms of abuse (physical, psychological and sexual abuse; abandonment and negligence), considering also many signs related with each category of mistreatment. In a situation where rights of children and young people are being affected, authoritiesare compelled to issue a transitional measure such as institutional care, which allowsrestoring the rights that have been dishonored. To implement this measure, acare-provider institution is obligated to prevent abandonment by strengthening family ties andworking for a reintegration of the child /young person into their biological family; it may beconsidered the adoption process as an option, but just as a last recourse to provide a worthy home for the child or young person, ensuring a permanent family that will provide love,understanding and care to satisfy basic needs, allowing the child/young person to have a proper environment to grow;the adoption guarantees the best interests of children and young people.

    The present monograph consists of the description on the history, definition, types and triangle of the school harassment, characteristics of the reasons and consequences, finishing with measures of prevention of the school bullying. It was applied interviews to different professionals that have intervened in cases of school bullying, with the purpose of known their intervention and knowledge of the social problematic. The collection of literary information presented in this monograph is intended that parents, institutions, teachers, students, know and approach the bullying from a problem of all. Parents improve communication with their children, daughters; political institutions innovate their policies for a climate favorable school environment for their development. The intervention and avoidance of bullying is a joint work of parents, children and schools.

    Adolescentes en conflicto con la ley: una mirada desde el trabajo social, en el Centro de Adolescentes Infractores (CAI) en Riobamba, en el año 2022

    The aim of this degree thesis is to illustrate the intervention of the social worker, at each stage of the process which the young offenders go through, in Riobamba (Ecuador), from their integration to the center. In this way, it is detailed all the social and family aspects in which action is taken. It is shown the results obtained from the surveys to the young offenders regarding family, friends and education environments, crucial in their offending behavior. This study is based on different theories to substantiate these behaviors, in regard to social roots and with a rights approach. The orientation provided by Childhood and Adolescence Code is used in the efficient activity by the social worker. It is also remarkable the importance of the work done by the professionals within the criminal field. Thereby, the aim is to elaborate a document that guides and guarantees the welfare of the adolescent within the internship.

    The research called "Seniors in the socio-family environment", aims to analyze the evidence of vulnerability to the elderly and their both social ties as family since the completion stage adult and start a new stage arise several both physical, psychological and social hence changes and considering alternative interventions, making seniors potentializing their skills according to their ability to dependence and independence as we can not generalize that all cases are operated in the same way but if you work from the beginning of this stage you will get to the elderly for active aging, and will be much better interaction both familiar social and institutional level due to the magnitude of the cases. Also worth mentioning Ecuadorian social policies that guarantee fundamental rights for full comprehensive development thereof which are established in the Constitution of the Republic, National Plan of Good Living, Law Elder in the Technical Standard Population of Older: Center and geriatric services of the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion and even the Code of Criminal Integral established in December 2013. As additional data in the investigation several Gerontological Centers as will be visited: El Hogar Miguel León, Hogar Cristo Rey, Centro Gerontologico Maria Reina de la Paz, ComunidadGeriatrica Jesus de Nazareth as well as La Posada San Francisco, is interviewing professionals both social work as psychologists because their contributions are of great interest to the subject.     Ambiente laboral y riesgos psicosociales de los colaboradores y colaboradoras de la Dirección de Vialidad del Gobierno Provincial del Azuay, en el periodo 2022

    The work environment influences the integral wellbeing of people, therefore, being exposed to psychosocial risks can affect their performance and the productivity of the organization, for this reason, the research was important because it explored the work environment and psychosocial risks of the employees of the Gobierno Provincial del Azuay, Cuenca-Ecuador, in the period 2022. This research used a mixed methodology, quantitative and qualitative, with a study population of 197 people, from which a sample of 130 male and female employees was obtained. For this purpose, the "Guide for the Application of the Psychosocial Risk Questionnaire of the Directorate of Safety, Health at Work and Comprehensive Risk Management of the Ministry of Labor" was used, as well as the Test of Problematic Use of Pornography, the Test on the Use of Technologies and the Test on Alcohol Consumption. After the application of the different questionnaires, processing, analysis and interpretation, the main psychosocial risks present in the employees of the Roads Directorate were obtained, in the dimensions of Leadership, Margin of Action and Control, Labor Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Working Conditions, which influence the work performance of the employees.

    Análisis crítico de medidas de protección en casos sentenciados y relacionados con la violencia contra la mujer de la Unidad Judicial de Violencia contra la Mujer y Miembros del Núcleo Familiar del año 2021 en el cantón Cuenca

    This research project was carried out with the objective of critically analyzing the protection measures in cases sentenced and related to violence against women of the Judicial Unit for Violence against Women and Members of the Family Nucleus of the year 2021 in the canton of Cuenca. We have chosen to use a qualitative methodology for this study, since we have based ourselves on the information already existing in the current law of our country on the process that is carried out in cases of violence against women. The type of study corresponds to qualitative and bibliographical research. The results found in the research are as follows: with regard to the first objective of this study, the intervention process used by officials in cases of violence against women was identified; it was also identified that the most frequent protection measures issued by the judges of the Unit for Violence against Women and Family Members are 1, 2, 3 and 4; finally, the main challenges faced by the officials of the Unit were examined, resulting in the following challenges: lack of economic and personnel resources; abandonment of the process by the victim; lack of specialization of the officials in the area of gender.

    Análisis cualitativo de la calidad de vida de la población adulta mayor jubilada de empresas públicas, en la ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador, año 2023

    Aging is a stage in the life cycle that involves biological, psychological and social changes. From a social perspective, it is natural for older adults to modify their work activity and, in many cases, choose to retire. Thus, having gone through an active working life, they need to maintain their state of activity, but this does not happen, as some seek peace and quiet and engage in activities such as going for a walk or meeting with friends, which, like family support, influences their quality of life. The general objective of this research is to analyze, based on their perceptions, the quality of life of retired senior citizens from public companies in the city of Cuenca, 2023. A qualitative methodology was applied with a phenomenological design and a hermeneutic sub-design, since the aim is to learn about the experiences of retired older adults. The research involved 11 retired elderly people from public companies, as well as 2 professionals in Social Work who work in the selected companies. The instrument used was the interview, which consists of two parts: the first part focuses on the social and demographic identification of the retired elderly, while the second part contains questions related to their quality of life. An interview focused on retirement and the support provided by the company was administered to the professionals. The analysis of the interviews was carried out using Atlas. Ti, and SPSS was used for the presentation of data and graphs on the socio-demographic aspect. In the results regarding the quality of life in the family and community, it is evident that the retired older adult experiences changes in health, occupation, family, social and community environment, which are important for the satisfaction of needs, in addition to presenting solid support networks that have a positive influence on their quality of life.

    The present study Analysis of the dynamics of the families of origin and their incidence on the behavior of the defendant for violence inflicted on their partner in the city of Cuenca from cases identified in the ¨Violence against Women and the Family Unit¨. Period July - September 2017, is oriented to the study of the ways of relating and interacting in the familiar environment called family dynamics, which may be functional or dysfunctional in terms of the way in which its members face their problems. To make the investigation possible, cases of violence inflicted on the couple with which the baseline was made from the recovery of the archive of the Violence against Women and Family Unit from July to September 2017, were identified a representative sample of 48 cases, in which a survey was applied aimed at identifying characteristics of the dynamics of the families of origin and if within it there were signs of violence in their family environment. With the results of the investigation it is established that all the families of origin of the persons prosecuted for exercising violence are dysfunctional and that most of them experienced violence of different types, besides this problem is normalized.

    Análisis de la intervención del trabajo social con familias en situación de movilidad humana desde la “Pastoral Social Cáritas Cuenca”, año 2024

    The increase in human mobility has become a social problem, since people who move to other countries must face various dangers, such as labor exploitation, discrimination, inconveniences in accessing basic services, language barriers, and social integration problems. In this sense, the research is carried out with the objective of analyzing the intervention of Social Work with families in a situation of human mobility, beneficiaries of the Pastoral Social Caritas of Cuenca. The research has a qualitative approach with a phenomenological scope, whose research design was non-experimental and cross-sectional, where a non-probabilistic convenience sampling was applied, which included 14 users and 2 social workers. For the data collection technique, in-depth interviews and focus groups were used, and the information was processed in Atlas Ti software. The results of the research showed that the intervention process of the Social Work professionals is implemented through the methodology according to the population, which consists of the institution's own methods; likewise, the role of the Social Work professional is very varied and focuses in a special way on the needs of the users.
