Item Estilos de apego y satisfacción corporal en adolescentes de un colegio privado del cantón Gualaceo en el periodo 2024 – 2025(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Psicología, 2025-10-07) Guachichullca Guamán, Michelle Priscila; Cabrera Vélez, María MarcelaThe present study aimed to determine the relationship between attachment styles and body dissatisfaction in adolescents aged 14 to 18 years, from a private high school in Gualaceo, Ecuador. A quantitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design was used, with a sample of 152 students who completed the CaMir-R questionnaire for attachment styles and the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) for body dissatisfaction. Results showed that 59.2% of the adolescents had an insecure attachment style, predominantly the worried style, which was associated with higher scores in childhood trauma and permissive parenting. In terms of body dissatisfaction, 22.4% of participants showed some level of concern about body shape, and higher dissatisfaction scores were observed in female students and those who perceived themselves in a lower socioeconomic stratum. A moderate negative correlation was found between body dissatisfaction and the dimension of security, while positive correlations were observed with childhood trauma and resentment towards parents. These findings highlight the relevance of early affective bonds and family dynamics in the formation of body image during adolescence. The study supports the implementation of psychoeducational and preventive interventions aimed at promoting secure attachment and positive body perception in educational contexts.Item Percepciones y experiencias sobre violencia de género contra la mujer en el noviazgo, en mujeres que cursan el 3ro de bachillerato en la Unidad Educativa 17 de Abril del cantón Quero, en el año 2024(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-03-24) Escobar Barreno, Deisy Tatiana; Gil Gesto, María IsabelGender-based violence against women is a global public health problem that ignores age, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. Research conducted at the “Unidad Educativa 17 de Abril” in Quero (2024) analyzes how adolescents perceive and experience dating violence, as well as the barriers to recognizing and reporting it. It was found that current relationships, influenced by technology, foster control disguised as constant communication, while emotional dependence and traumatic bonds make them vulnerable. Early exposure to models of violence normalizes abusive behaviors, making them difficult to identify. Psychological and emotional violence is often interpreted as a sign of love, which prevents young people from seeking help. Furthermore, lack of knowledge about the various forms of gender-based violence and distrust of the formal support system reinforce silence, leading adolescents to turn to informal networks such as friends and mothers. Mother-child sisterhood is key, although not always sufficient, for effective guidance. The research concludes that it is essential to promote emotional and healthy relationship education with a gender perspective, in addition to raising awareness among institutions to break the patterns of violence in adolescent dating.
