Acoustic deficiencies in rehearsal rooms and recording studios can negatively impact sound quality and the overall musical experience. In Cuenca, many of these spaces lack proper acoustic conditioning due to a lack of technical knowledge and limited access to affordable resources. This thesis proposes a practical guide to optimizing the acoustics of these environments, based on the adaptation of existing spaces. From fundamental sound concepts to the construction of risers and acoustic panels, the guide provides detailed steps for musicians and studio owners. It covers topics such as acoustic design for recording studios, measurement methods, and case studies of local spaces. Additionally, it includes criteria for space selection, measurement and construction procedures, along with practical annexes such as surveys and a list of available materials. The objective is to provide an accessible and effective tool to improve the acoustic quality of musical spaces in Cuenca.
