Item Programa físico-recreativo para mejorar el nivel de condición física de adolescentes en el subnivel Básica Superior de la Unidad Educativa Eugenio Espejo(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-02-16) Nivicela Morocho, Carlos Xavier; Tacuri Peláez, Elsa LeonorThis research project is called "Physical-recreational program to improve the level of physical condition of adolescents in the superior basic sub-level of the Eugenio Espejo educational unit", which the objective was to apply a physical-recreational program to improve the level of physical condition of adolescents in the Upper Basic sublevel of the Eugenio Espejo Educational Unit the intervention study of a quasi-experimental type with a quantitative approach had a first phase in which a pretest was applied with the "Alpha Fitness" battery to evaluate the physical condition, later it was applied a physical-recreational program with a duration of 3 months, three times a week with a duration of one hour thirty minutes each class, later the post-test was developed and finally the analyzes were made in the Spss program where a comparative study was made and also an analysis between gender resulting in 29.4% of the female being overweight and the 85.7% of the male being in normal weight this in reference to the BMI in the pre-test and with the evaluation referring to the post test it was observed that 11.8% of the female is overweight and 92.3% of the male are in normal weight. Referring to the Vo2 of the students, notable changes were observed in their Vo2 levels, this in turns highlights the positive results obtained in the jumping test with feet together. In conclusion, the recreational physical program in adolescents in the female showed more significant changes than the male with the respect to BMI, while in the maximum Vo2 and the jump of the feet together in the male had better results in relation to the female.
