Item Procesos de guerra y paz en el Ecuador: implicaciones geopolíticas del conflicto territorial sostenido con el Perú desde 1941 a 1998(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-02-16) Muñoz Loja, Augusto Joel; Borrero Vega, Ana LuzThe processes of confrontation between Ecuador and Peru are constituted as an inherent element in the historical construction of the Ecuadorian State. In relation to this topic, there is a great variety of writings. However, the study about the belligerence process with Peru seems scarce at present. For this reason, there are elements and approaches that have not yet been developed and can be worked on. Since Geopolitics explains the international dynamics and the relationships between states, its epistemic basis is pertinent to approach the proposed topic from a complementary approach to the studies already carried out. In this way, the present research aims to explain the processes of war and peace between Ecuador and Peru during the period 1941-1998 based on geopolitical and historical precepts. This through the use of the historical method and content analysis of written sources relevant to the thematic development of the research. Finally, it is expected to identify geopolitical postulates that allow explaining the actions undertaken by the states in conflict
