We worked with a non-probabilistic sample of an intentional type, with a population of 141 adolescents and 124 parents and/or legal representatives corresponding to the levels eighth, ninth and tenth year of basic education. For the research, a questionnaire on reproduction patterns of gender violence was prepared and applied to parents/mothers and legal representatives, and the escalation of attitudes towards gender violence for adolescents. It was found that gender violence within the family system is directed at both the male and female gender; Said violence is based on stereotyped practices carried out by authority figures (father, mother) and the couple, regarding attitudes towards gender violence in the adolescent population, an indifferent state was identified. Regarding the patterns of reproduction of gender violence in the family system, it is evident that there are minimal differences in the urban and rural context; being the stereotyped roles, the mandates of domesticity and the mandate to maintain the image of the ideal family the most subtle forms of reproduction of violence.Item El consumo de drogas en el contexto de familias con hijos adolescentes(2016) Jiménez Arevalo, Silvia Oldina; León Márquez, Washington EvelioThis research paper entitled "Drug use in the context of families with teenage children" evidence theoretical and prevention of this reality constitutes a major problem for society, in the context of families with teenage children research. Annexes workshops for parents who must apply the family counselor and materials on events related to prevention society to the problem raised in families to drug use in adolescents is included.Item El desarrollo del adolescente dentro de la familia monoparental(2017) Chalco Delgado, Angélica Gabriela; Quito Calle, Jessica VanessaThis monograph aims to try to establish the family dynamics, we will investigate the development of the adolescent within a single parent family, what are the causes for single parent families, and the conflicts that the adolescent can present, thus impeding their healthy development , We will also provide tools to the parent in charge of the family, so that he can overcome the stage he goes through and help him / her to cope with it and seek solutions to potential conflicts. The methodology applied in this study is analytical descriptive research of bibliographical character in which data corresponding to the information contained in works, studies and scientific articles are described. In addition, a survey was applied to ten adolescents living within a single-parent family, in order to identify by tabulation the possible conflicts to which they are exposed. The theme Society in sexuality education, is an important role that family, teacher and family counselor in sex education.Item Educación sexual en el subsistema parento filial con las familias rurales de la Parroquia el Valle durante el periodo febrero 2022- septiembre 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-30) Serrano Bravo, Karen Viviana; Calle Yuqui, Saida Marina; Guzmán Jiménez, Alfonsina del RocíoThe role of the family is essential in the sexual education of adolescents, since at this stage the possibility of risky behaviors that may result in unwanted pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases increases. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique was the survey, which was validated by experts and applied to a sample of 379 families. The results showed that for most parents talking about sexuality with their children is synonymous with shame and this has been transmitted from generation to generation. It was found that 48% of the children prefer to educate themselves about sexuality, since there is no good communication with their parents, which allows them to clarify their doubts. It is concluded that for these families talking about sexuality with their children represents a taboo subject and this continues to be transferred from parents to children. Consequently, the role of the family is indispensable for the education and training of adolescents on sexuality matters.Item El estilo parental en la conducta de los adolescentes(2017) Abril Alvarez, Angelita Eulalia; Guillén Verdesoto, Ximena KarinaThe aim of the present study is to determine healthy parenting styles that positively affect family interaction and interrelationship. For this, it is necessary to make parents aware of the importance and necessity of incorporating changes in the way of expressing affection. Well, while it is true, in the family the first bases of socialization are built, so the role of parents is fundamental. Today, transcendental changes in the family are perceived, both in structure and composition, including parental practices, whether inherited from military authoritarianism of the past, which slows down the psycho-emotional development of children, or Permissible practices of the present, where the roles are reversed, that is, parents subjugated to the children. Whatever it may be, they are nurturing styles that do not favor the desired goal of forming responsible, self-reliant adolescents with good self-esteem, problem-solving, and proactive skills. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate parental and conjugal attitudes, since the efficiency or consequence will be based on how balanced the parenting style that guides the children.Item Estilos de crianza parental, su incidencia en la calidad de vida familiar en los adolescentes de 15 a 17 años en el colegio de bachillerato “Ciudad de Cuenca” en el periodo 2022-2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-02-27) Zhindón Abad, Diana Verónica; Ordóñez Martínez, Lourdes NubeThis article determined the influence of parenting styles on the quality of family life of adolescents aged between 15 and 17 years in the "Ciudad de Cuenca" high school in the period 2022-2023. The research approach is quantitative, with a descriptive-correlational scope, which allowed to determine the parenting style that predominates in the families of adolescents and the quality of family life. In addition, the probability sampling is composed of 110 students and 110 parents. For data collection, the Robinson & Cols "Dimensions and Parenting Style (PSDQ)" questionnaire was used. (1995) Version modified by (Gaxiola et al., 2006) and the Family Quality of Life Scale (TVET) test by Verdugo, Rodríguez & Saín (2012) Version modified by (Giné et al., 2019). The information obtained was processed in the statistical program SPSS version 25, which facilitated the visualization of the results by representing the data in tables for the interpretation and analysis of the data. The results show that fathers as mothers of the families surveyed present the authoritarian parenting style with 40%, the permissive style is equivalent to 32.7% and the democratic style with 27.3%. On the other hand, the results of the quality of family life in students with respect to importance with 51.8% and in terms of satisfaction with a percentage of 48.2%. In addition, a significant correlation was found between the variable of authoritarian parenting style and family quality of life. The aim of this research work is to determine the risk factors that presented the teenagers who suffer the absence of their father in their familiar system. The study had a mixed approach ( qualitative and quantitative) it was not experimental, the questionnaire Q-PAD (questionnaire for the evaluation of teenager´s problems) with SantaMaría Spanish adaptation was applied to fifty sample young students of Canton Girón to the respective statistical descriptive analysis and the analysis of study. The obtained results keep a close relationship between the variables; risk factors and the paternal absence, showing that there is the lack of the father, teenagers presented: substance abuse, anxiety, uncertainty about their future, the psychosocial risks are representatives, but the self - esteem of the students is good. The preventive plans must be guided in health actions, and the manifestation of anxiety of the students since the identified profile gives a high value to these two analyzed variables.Item Familias con padres y madres ausentes: Análisis del sistema familiar y contexto educativo de los y las adolescentes de primero, segundo y tercero de bachillerato del colegio “Luis Monsalve Pozo” en el periodo 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-03) Peralta Romero, Miriam Alexandra; Vega Patiño, Paola Mariuxi; Gutiérrez Molina, Blanca EsperanzaThe family is the first learning space, where the father and mother are the source of principles and values that guide and teach their sons and daughters to interact how to respect social norms in all their environments. However, many adolescents do not have the support of their parents, being emotionally absent. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the family system and the educational context of adolescents from families with absent parents The methodology used is mixed, quantitative and qualitative. First, quantitatively, a descriptive scope of research, using instruments such as the family APGAR test, study habits questionnaire and adaptability questionnaire for adolescents, managing a simple random probabilistic sampling. Second, qualitatively, a descriptive - explanatory scope, developing interviews through a question guide, the sampling used was non-probabilistic for convenience. The universe of investigation was the educational unit "Luis Monsalve Pozo" with the students of first, second and third year of high school, with a population of 86 students and their parents. Finally, for the processing of the quantitative information, the statistical program SPSS and the ATLAS-ti program were used for the analysis of qualitative information. As main results it was obtained that the student population with 60.47% perceives a mild to severe family dysfunction at home. Social adaptability is normal, however, emotional adaptability does not meet the needs of the student. The relationship of parents with the educational context according to the perception of adolescents indicates having affective shortcomings.Item Familias generadoras de autoestima en los hijos adolescentes(2015) Barreto Heras, Gladys Alicia; Montalvo Bernal, José HeribertoThe family is the central cell, the fundamental prop in order that the children, from tender ages, up to the adolescence, develop, grow in integral form, that is to say biological, psychologically and socially, be unrolled by independence, surrounded with affections, love, fondness, respect, communication and dialog, between other factors that the familiar environment must generate, concretely his progenitors, offer to them all the elements in order that they are forming his personal esteem. Not to have esteem and personal value, not to believe in yes same, to show insecurity and dependence of other persons, when there is familiar problems related to the organization, structure, emotional climate and familiar dynamics, etc. It can generate disorders related to the learning, behavioral problems, disorders of the supply (anorexia, bulimia …), of anxiety, of the state of mind, increase of the risk of consumption of alcohol and other drugs. The project has as aim study the principal characteristics of the generating families of autoesteem, as well as the factors appellants who damage the esteem of the young persons who are living through the average adolescence, by means of a brief study on the familiar relations of the students of first of baccalaureate of the College " Technician Chiquintad " of Cuenca, applying the test " How it is your Family ". Orient parents and mothers about the value of time and the importance of spending quality time for our teenager, it's important to the role of boys and girls to understand their complex situation of adolescence, listen to them, understand their changes physical and rules, roles and limits that will form our character and personality that we will identify with this process until adulthood.Item Influencia de la disolución del vínculo conyugal en los adolescentes del núcleo familiar(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-07-27) Palacios Aguilar, Nathalia Valentina; Montalvo Bernal, José HeribertoThe negative effects of divorce on children are related to the conflict process of the couple, causing sadness, fear, anxiety, aggression, among others, this situation encourages these effects to become natural and form part of daily relationships, interfering in direct way in their ability to connect and bond properly. The main objective of this study was to investigate how the dissolution of the marital bond influences the adolescents of the family nucleus through an exhaustive review of recent literature found within the databases Dialnet, PubMed, Redalyc and Google Scholar, from this search we found 15 articles related to the theme. It was concluded that the dissolution of the conjugal bond influences the bio-psycho-social development of children and adolescents, generating in these several pathological symptoms that are clinically significant, which are related to alterations in mood and problems at the physical and physical level.Item Influencia de la estructura familiar en el proceso de desarrollo psicosocial de los estudiantes de segundo año de bachillerato del Colegio Nacional Experimental Benigno Malo en el período lectivo de octubre del 2010 a julio del 2011(2010) Barrazueta Berrezueta, Alexandra; Castillo Poblete, RaúlItem La funcionalidad familiar: análisis de la adaptabilidad y cohesión familiar con hijos adolescentes del colegio de bachillerato Benigno Malo durante el periodo 2022-2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-06) Lozado Viscaino, Martha Elizabeth; Cuzco Portilla, Romina Del Cisne; Gutiérrez Molina, Blanca EsperanzaThe formation of the adolescent turns out to be a complex process in which a wide range of psycho-socio-familiar factors influence, for many of the parents it is seen as a difficult time where the construction of identity and achieving independence are main characteristics, despite the influence of several factors, the family is a leading factor for the comprehensive development of its members, its adaptability and cohesion are key to generating autonomy, self-esteem, self-concept allowing it to be a protective factor against risk behaviors at this stage. This quantitative research is descriptive with a cross-sectional design, its main objective was to analyze the functionality, adaptability and family cohesion with adolescent children of the Benigno Malo high school during the period 2022-2023; with a total sample of 228 adolescents. The instruments applied are: the FF-SIL by Ortega de la Cuesta & Días C., (1999) to identify the most prevalent degrees of family functionality and the FACES III designed by Olson & Cols, (1979) which allows measuring the family cohesion and adaptability accompanied by a demographic file. It is recorded that 50.4% represents a functional family, but; With the FACES III analysis, we found families with agglutinated cohesion (50.9%) and chaotic adaptability (48.7%). Also, it was discovered that they present difficulties in communication. Therefore, it is concluded that cohesion, adaptability and communication are important factors within family dynamics, since these must be reflected throughout the stages of the life cycle.Item Los estilos de crianza asociados en la autoestima de los estudiantes de 8vo, 9no y 10mo de básica de la Escuela de Educación Básica “Ulises Chacón”, en el periodo octubre 2020- marzo 2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-05-17) Enríquez Cedillo, Michelle Yolanda; Quito Quito, Freddy Maximiliano; Ordóñez Martínez, Lourdes NubeThe present study determined the relationship between parenting styles and the self-esteem of the 8th, 9th and 10th grade students of the “Ulises Chacón” Basic Education School, in the period October 2020- March 2021. The research is descriptive approach, quantitative-correlational. For data collection, the Lucy Reidl Self-esteem scale and the “Parenting practices questionnaire” questionnaire were applied Robinson and Cols. (1995) Version modified by Gaxiola, Frías & otros (2006), to a sample of 459 people, made up of 230 students and 229 parents. Subsequently, the data interpretation and analysis was carried out through the SPSS version 25 statistical program. The results yielded the following data: 215 parents exercise the democratic parenting style equivalent to 93.89%, 9 parents exercise the parenting style authoritarian equivalent to 3.9% and 5 parents exercise the permissive parenting style equivalent to 2.1%. On the other hand, the results of the self-esteem level in the students are: 12 students equivalent to 5.22% present low self-esteem, 70 students equivalent to 30% present low average self-esteem, 123 students equivalent to 53.48% present high average self-esteem and 25 students equivalent to 10.87% present high self-esteem. In addition, there was a significant correlation between the democratic parenting style variable and the high self-esteem variable. In conclusion, the majority of parents exercise the democratic parenting style and the students present high average self-esteem, with a significant relationship between the democratic parenting style and high self-esteem.Item Padres ausentes: consecuencias emocionales en niños, niñas y adolescentes a estudiantes de educación general básica y bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Alberto Andrade Arizaga BRUMMEL “2022-2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-07) Belesaca Ávila, Evelyn Paulina; Yanza Tenesaca, Grace Carolina; Guillén Verdesoto, Ximena KarinaThe aim of this research is to identify the emotional consequences of children and adolescents growing up without a parental figure. Likewise, to identify the emotional development that children develop when not having a parental figure present during their growth. However, in order to do this, the ESPERI instrument was implemented as well as a structured survey. The study was applied to the students of the Unidad Educative “BRUMMEL". In addition, a descriptive. methodology was applied during this as well as quantitative research in which intentional sampling was used since it is a non-probabilistic method, with a population of 700 students, of which 318 students were selected for this research. According to the results, it can be inferred that the selected sample presents harmful emotional consequences, as well as other negative behaviors such as dissocial behavior in this last stage.Item Presencia de patrones familiares en el consumo de sustancias en mujeres adolescentes dentro de Hogar Victoria en el año 2023(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-03-03) Guzmán Agudo, Mayerly Isabel; León Machuca, Walter FabiánThe present study, carried out in the therapeutic community 'Hogar Victoria', used a qualitative approach based on grounded theory to analyse the findings in depth. The aim was to identify family patterns and their relationship with substance use in a group of 33 adolescent women treated at the centre during 2023. To do so, the clinical records prepared during the stay of each of the participants were reviewed. The aim was to analyse family patterns and their relationship with substance use by adolescent women. In addition to analysing family dynamics and structure, that is, the rules, norms, communication and relationships within the family nucleus, the aim was to identify the correlation between these and the family typology in which the adolescents develop. With this information, the aim is to determine the main risk factors associated with substance use in this population group and, from there, establish the bases for designing more effective preventive interventions in the adolescent community. The research identified a clear correlation between the development of problematic substance use and various family conflicts that affect the relationships between adolescents and their parents in the different family subsystems (parental, maternal and filial). It also demonstrated a considerable incidence of the separation of adolescents from their parents and its impact on their overall development. It should be noted that the presence of psychological, physical and sexual violence exacerbates these effects, hindering the development of healthy social skills.
