Item Efectividad de los métodos ácido sulfosalicílico, héller y tira reactiva para el diagnóstico temprano de proteinuria en perros que presentan cilindros en sedimento urinario(2017) Barros Guiracocha, Emma Adriana; Carpio Alemán, Fredi MarcoProteinuria is defined like a high quantity of proteins in urine, this is compounded of plasmatic proteins, urinary tract protein and genital tract. The research goal was reviewed effectiveness of three semiquantitative methods: sulfoslicylic acid, Heller`s reaction and reactive strip, that are used to diagnosis early of urine protein in dogs that developed cylinders in urinary sediment. Three treatments (methods) was assessed and forty four observations too, every one of urinary samples collected by cystocentesis from dogs wich were atended in a medical consultation between January and March in “Clinican” a veterinary clinic in Cuenca, Ecuador. In this thesis used a design completely random, data were stored in a data base, here date were sorted out in qualitative and quantitative variables, these were analyzed through versión 20 of SPSS program. In this program was applied the non parametric test of Cochran for k samples related in frequency of positive and negative cases for urine protein; with respect to the three methods of the forty four samples, for reactive stripe 77,2% were positive, for Heller`s reacción 72,7% and for sulfosalicylic acid 68,2%. This result allow to establish that there aren´t significant differences (P<0.05) between sensitivity, specificity and quantification of urine protein for each method for this reason it´s posible to conclude the three methods that were studied are reliable to establish urine protein early in dogs with presence of urine cylinders.
