    Los festivales de música y su aporte a la actividad turística en la ciudad de Cuenca

    This work researches about the current state of music festivals in the city of Cuenca analyzed from the perspective that leisure tourism has increased because people from all over the world are interested music festivals. They help to boost tourism activity in the city with the arrival of people who want to satisfy their need of various music festivals and events characterized by having numerous cultural events lasting from some hours to one day and in some cases a few days in one to several places, demonstrating the art of music through ensuring the enjoyment of culture and its components in conditions of equality, human dignity and non-discrimination. It is noteworthy that there is an interest in encouraging cultural tourism of the city of Cuenca without causing a negative impact and provide living spaces that provide equity and improving the quality of life for residents. Therefore the analysis is aimed to demonstrate the importance of these music festivals through a statistical study focused on tourist profile coming to attend these events in the city, which is an advantage for local tourism establishments.

    El turismo sostenible como alternativa de desarrollo para el cantón Piñas, provincia del Oro

    Piñas is a town that has considered tourism as a fundamental activity in the revitalization of its economy. For this reason, it seeks alternatives to facilitate the development of its activity, in order to consolidate the territory as a competitive tourism destination; taking advantage of natural and cultural resources in a sustainable way. Therefore, it has been convenient to analyze the sustainability tourism as an alternative of development in Piñas. This analysis will be an important tool to improve the lifestyle of its habitants through the analysis of the background of its touristic attractions, the study of sustainable environment, social and economic aspects, and the elaboration of a proposal for a sustainable tourism development in the town. This proposal will contain sustainable efforts among the tourist activities in order to preserve the nature, thus to obtain a sustainable vision of monitoring and evaluating activities that will promote the conditions of the territory and population to ensure sustainable development with the sole purpose of save nature. In addition to this research, it will be identify elements that effects tourism in a negative way. Thus, a propose strategy will be analyzed with the intention of innovate tourism offering a sustainable contribution to the citizens.
