Item Actividades turísticas que demandaron los jubilados Estadounidenses residentes en Cuenca-Ecuador, 2012(2013) Simbaña Sánchez, Yuleisy Mishell; Torres León, LeonardoThis study is an analysis of tourist activities utilized by American retirees living in Cuenca, Ecuador during 2012. It was based on fieldwork with a sample of 340 surveys. It analyzed the demand for tourist services that are recognized as tourist activities in Article 5 of the Law of Tourism in the Republic of Ecuador. This study had two parts: the first, sought to establish if American retirees utilized tourist services in the city in question, and the second, was a discussion of the definition of Residential Tourism. The results of the study established that 30% of American retirees utilized food and beverage services, as well as complementary activities, including shopping, cinema visits and cultural attractions. As a conclusion, it was determined that 26% of the sample represented American residential tourists living in Cuenca.Item Análisis muestral de las actividades turísticas realizadas por los residentes extranjeros en la ciudad de Cuenca(2012) Heimbach Torres, Karina; Ordóñez Marín, Alexandra; Astudillo Durán, Silvana VanessaItem Propuesta de actividades de turismo comunitario en la comunidad de Cuchucún del cantón Cañar, 2015(2015) Pinguil Buscán, José Patricio; Malo Ottati, Santiago JoséThis research entitled "Proposal of community tourism activities in the Cuchucún community of Cañar” arises from the need to seek new alternatives for social, economic and cultural development of the community indigenous and its surroundings. This community displays a great potential to develop tourism, ecotourism and adventure sports, based on the situational analysis of the territory, made using different methodologies, techniques and research tools applied. Field observation, the use of technical specifications, survey, and interview; supported by the different technological componentswe were able to get technical data that support the implementation of the proposal Despite of having all these elements in favor of community tourism in the area, it has not had a proper impulse, due to the lack of initiatives and strategies by public and private institutions, not because of negligence or ill will but rather this is due to the scarcity of professional technical people in the area, proposing tourism projects involving the organized development of these activities. It is this research will provide the basis for the implementation of new tourism projects, to contribute to social and economic development by creating jobs and promoting Sumak Kawsay who is immersed in the constitution of the Republic of Ecuador.Item Propuesta de actividades turísticas para el feriado de Carnaval en la ciudad de Cuenca, provincia del Azuay(2019-07-10) Tapia Barros, Silvia Estefania; Vacacela Naranjo, Thamya Kinara; Sánchez Rodas, Lourdes MonserrathThis project aims to propose an offer of tourist activities for the Carnival holiday in Cuenca, due to the little movement that exists within the city and the lack of coordination with the private sector during this date. Upon this, a study was conducted based on a qualitative and quantitative approach, which helped set the preferences and expectations of tourist, both domestic and foreign, in addition to knowing the criterion of entities in charge of the work desk. In this way, a variety of tourist activities raised for this festival, which will be delivered to the Cuenca Tourism Foundation, who will appoint the corresponding department for its execution.
