Item Exploración de conflictos y compromisos vinculados a la asociatividad y la cooperación de actores locales en procesos de desarrollo sostenible mediante el turismo en la parroquia Naranjal, Guayas, Ecuador, 2020-2021(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-01-10) Mejía Mayancela, Paulina Noemí; Granda Ortega, Mónica Nathaly; Espinoza Figueroa, Freddy EdgarThis research is based on the need to generate knowledge on associativity and cooperation in tourism as means that contribute to development in a given territory. This case study has place in the rural area of Cantón Naranjal, Guayas, a territory that houses several actors, who have shown some interest in taking joint actions to improve the tourist offer. However, these efforts have been affected by a marked decrease in the initial interest of the actors, passive participation, lack of confidence from past experiences, disunity, lack of empowerment for resource use, poor infrastructure, organization incipient and inadequate public management around tourism policies in the territory. In this context, conflicts and commitments related to associativity and cooperation as promoters of sustainable development through tourism. Under this premise, the study performs the following approaches: 1) analyzes the current situation of the territory in terms of its actors, tourism dynamics and collaboration processes, 2) determines the conflicts that prevent associativity and tourism cooperation as a means of development sustainable and 3) defines the necessary commitments of the actors around the management of tourist activity. For this, interviews were conducted semi-structured with the actors through a non-probabilistic sample at convenience. The data were subjected to hermeneutical analysis by means of the Atlas.ti version 8 software. Based on that, the research aims to question whether the consensus between actors allows establishing common objectives to generate development through tourism, the achievement of which motivates action collective and strengthens the social capital of a territory. Keywords: associativity, tourism, social capital, development, action collective, Naranjal, conflict.
