Item Aplicación de estrategias para el mejoramiento del proceso operativo del área de Housekeeping de Inti Kamari Lodge, Yunguilla- Ecuador(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-24) Hurtado Chacón, Mishelle Katherinne; Urgilés Contreras, Diana PaolaThis intervention project arises from the need to provide improvement strategies to Inti Kamari Lodge, applicable to the establishment with the purpose of moving towards continuous improvement. In relation to the operational processes of the Housekeeping area, it has been possible to identify shortcomings on the part of the staff in the development in various functions. To achieve the relevant strategies for the organization of the establishment, technical information collection tools such as interviews and the observational, non-participant method are implemented. Solution strategies are proposed based on the identification of factors through the SWOT, IFE and EFE matrices. The implementation of the strategies aims to correct and improve the processes of the Housekeeping area, working together with the managers and staff of Inti Kamari Lodge. The results are reflected in the technical knowledge acquired by the staff, in relation to their Housekeeping functions, it is also intended to achieve a greater influx of guests and the change of perception of external and internal customers about the service offered at Inti Kamari Lodge. Its main objective is to improve the efficiency and quality of the service offered by Akelarre restaurant. The initial diagnosis reveals significant problems, such as shortages due to inadequate inventory management, lack of staff training and poor collaboration among employees. Using quality tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and the Pareto chart, the root causes of these inefficiencies are identified. These tools make it possible to establish a solid basis for the design of improvement strategies. The study incorporates collaborative and participatory workshops that engage hotel staff in identifying problems and generating practical solutions. These activities promote team cooperation and commitment, resulting in effective proposals to optimize processes. Proposed solutions include improvements in inventory management, updating facility information, and ongoing staff training. Likewise, specific methods are developed to evaluate staff performance and customer satisfaction through surveys and studies of times and movements. These methods make it possible to identify areas for continuous improvement and ensure a high-quality service.Item Plan de mejora de procesos agregadores de valor y protocolos de operación del área de alojamiento del Hotel Selina de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-12-13) Astudillo Álvarez, Gustavo Adrián; Iñiguez Márquez, Gustavo EduardoIn this plan for the improvement of value-adding processes and operating protocols of the accommodation area of the Hotel Selina in Cuenca, a situational study of the company is carried out, both the internal and external environment, as well as a comparative analysis of the processes of the accommodation area of the Hotel Raymipamba, with those of the Hotel Selina. An improvement plan is determined to counteract the existing problems. For the elaboration of this intervention project, the qualitative methodology is applied, so bibliographic sources, theoretical references, and interviews with the General Manager of the Hotel are considered; The quantitative methodology is also used, where the operation of the organization is evaluated through the existing comments on its social networks, thus allowing us to know the perspectives of the guests and develop an improvement plan in the accommodation area of the hotel, using the benchmarking strategy implementing it through three phases (planning, analysis, integration and action) thus improving hotel processes. In this sense, tourism organizations can personalize messages, offer experiences adapted to travelers' preferences, and increase interaction with potential customers, which allows greater loyalty and competitive advantages. Therefore, this project focuses on developing a digital marketing plan for the Santa Lucía Boutique Hotel, Cuenca - Ecuador, which analyzes the current situation and proposes improvements based on interviews and surveys with customers and hotel staff. Through social media strategies, online advertising, relevant content and personalized campaigns that will seek to improve how the hotel communicates with its audience. Not only will this improve its online presence and attract more customers, but it will also allow them to better understand customer needs and deliver satisfying experiences.
