Item Análisis del uso de herramientas tecnológicas empleadas en hoteles de cuatro estrellas de la cuidad de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-05-15) Arbito Quito, Darío Israel; Borja Arbito, Miriam Alexandra; Ávila Vélez, Tania KarolinaThe Hospitality and Hotel industry of the city of Cuenca currently not only provides accommodation and food services to guests, it has the purpose of providing new experiences that are an innovative alternative. Technology is currently booming, because it is a vitally important tool, with which hotel establishments have and at the same time help in administrative processes and daily activities. The purpose of this degree work is to publicize the technological tools used by four-star hotels in the city of Cuenca, and how they intervene in the management of the establishments and the impact they generate on guests. For the development of this research, surveys were applied to both hotel officials and guests involved in this category. The methodology that was used was through convenience sampling, due to the ease of access to information that the establishments provided, carrying out quantitative surveys. With the results obtained, it was possible to carry out a comparative analysis between the four and five star hotels in the city, since they belong to the same superior category, with 50 and 60 points respectively, and offer similar services. Therefore, we can consider that the intervention of technological tools helps hotel establishments to improve their services, to satisfy the needs of guests more efficiently, and to improve business profitability, among other benefits. These establishments, by offering the possibility of overnight stays within the canton, influence tourists to decide to stay and therefore continue to enjoy the facilities offered by this destination. As for the accommodation establishments, particularly, the Posada Ingapirca inn to provide a good service, this proposal of administrative and operational processes is presented under the concepts of planning, organization, management and control presenting viable, achievable, concrete and real actions in order to improve this establishment internally. This work is developed through a function manual, a process manual and a manual of formats for each area of the Inn, with the aim of facilitating and streamlining the activities that are carried out.Item Propuesta de modelo de administración hotelera para la hostería Lago de Cristal del cantón Girón, provincia del Azuay(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021) Morocho Illescas, Marcela Rosalía; Delgado Oleas, Nancy KarlaThis work proposes a model of hotel management for the Lago de Cristal inn, a hotel establishment that provides accommodation, food, entertainment and events in Girón, province of Azuay. Through this proposal, it is intended to guide the administrators of the inn, so that, according to their needs and possibilities, they replace the empirical administration that they are currently developing with an administration based on processes, systems, techniques and appropriate strategies. A mixed research process was followed to develop the proposal. First, a bibliographic analysis of the different administration models was carried out, later, as to determine the problems of the current administrative system of the inn, the internal administrative system was diagnosed; a comparative table of the current situation of the establishment with the current accommodation regulations in which the percentage of compliance with the established requirements is indicated, and finally a SERVQUAL survey was applied to measure the quality of the inn service. From this evaluation, the key points were obtained to design the hotel management model that improves the operation in the different areas of the establishment, increases the quality of hotel services and in turn generates greater productivity in the inn.
