Item Análisis de contenido de las narconovelas emitidas por el medio de comunicación televisivo Ecuavisa(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-11-17) Caguana Quizhpi, William Esteban; Rosillo Tarqui, Jessenia Johanna; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThe present investigation intends to analyze in a practical way the identification of the subjects exposed in the contents that the narconovelas present, because these productions have gained strength at the level of Latin America, and that in the country they are presented by the Ecuadorian channels making known of explicit way of life in drug trafficking. For this, this thesis has been divided into four (4) chapters which are divided into the theoretical framework that was taken as a reference for research, in the second chapter the context of the narconovela is presented and the change presented to the novel Classic, with these data gave way to the transcription of the chapters that are taken from the sample to show the categories presented in the narconovela. The third chapter explains the methodology we use for research in addition to the work instruments that were used, in the fourth chapter the field work is carried out with the registration sheet, which allows to determine what categories exist in the narconovela and with how often the viewers are exposed, to give way to the research conclusionsItem Análisis de contenido informativo de radio La Voz del Tomebamba (1070 AM – Cuenca)(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-11-16) Avila Calle, Carlos Javier; Cuzco Cuzco, Edwin Ignacio; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThe elements that make up a news program in any media are something fundamental; through this investigative work we plan to investigate the structure of the morning news program " The Hour of Truth" of the Voice of Tomebamba Radio (1070 AM); one of the historic radio stations of the Ecuadorian Austro. This investigative process seeks to gather information that will reveal how important or harmful the structure of an informative program can be. The effectiveness of information and how the different journalistic genres were used in one of Cuenca's main traditional media was examined through a deep and detailed analysis. By conducting a Content Analysis, the quality of information offered by the radio was diagnosed; as an important part of the investigation revealing the existence of a political bias in the information released in said information spaceItem Análisis de la integración del enfoque de género e interculturalidad en los contenidos de dos medios digitales: GK y La Barra Espaciadora(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-07-14) Alvarado Correa, Paula Gabriela; Torres Arévalo, Myriam Nicole; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThis research directed all its efforts to showcase how the “interculturality” and “gender approach” categories are twinned. The objective was “analyze how the gender and the interculturality approach is integrated into the contents of the alternative digital media GK and La Barra Espaciadora”. Through a theoretical journey, the main concepts were introduced and discussed in Chapters I and II. The content analysis methodology allowed the production of five matrices described in Chapter III. Through theoretical sampling, twelve notes from 2019 were select, six for each media, were those matrices were applied. Subsequently, the systematisation charts and data sequences were used to process the information. The results showed that La Barra Espaciadora and GK make alternative communication, as their editorial line and contents constitute a response to a vertical communication. Interculturality and the gender approach converge in their human rights stance, which leads them to discuss issues that raises out how the same problems affect people differently because of their sex, ethnic group, etharium, sexual orientation, gender identity or disabilityItem Análisis de la percepción en redes sociales en la promoción del turismo cultural en la provincia del Cañar(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-06-18) Chuya Bonilla, Katherine Mishell; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThe research presented in this project was conducted with the purpose of examining the perception of an audience in social networks of promotions for the province of Cañar in cultural tourism through a quantitative methodology, along with a descriptive analysis and sample selection based on the non-probabilistic by convenience, for this a sample population of 384 people was selected to whom a survey formulated through a questionnaire of closed questions was applied. After that, the units of analysis were determined, which were obtained through the result of the last question of the survey. A Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach was executed using Norman Fairclough's model, which was applied to tourism promotions found in three virtual pages: “Prefectura del Cañar”, “Cañar hecho con Cariño” and “Marcelo Jaramillo”, all of them belonging to a single governmental institution. For the development of this model, interpretation tables were made, where three phases are broken down: text, discursive practice and social practice. After a representation of both linguistic and visual particularities, it was possible to understand the reactions, together with the sensations that these produce through the discourse in each individual.Item Análisis de TikTok e Instagram como canales de comunicación que inciden en el uso del lenguaje y su identidad en los estudiantes de la Carrera de Comunicación de la Universidad de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación, 2025-10-28) Peralta Quito, Ángel Sebastián; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThe present study analyzes the influence of TikTok and Instagram on the use of language and the identity of students in the Communication program at the University of Cuenca. It is essential to understand how the digital media environment conditions the ways language is used and identity is constructed, influencing their academic and personal development. Regarding methodology, a quantitative approach was employed, using structured surveys for data collection, analyzing responses through Google Forms and Excel. Among the main findings, a high daily frequency of use of both platforms was identified, with an evident influence on vocabulary and references to memes or pop culture. Likewise, it was found that students intentionally manage their digital identity and connect with global and local cultures. Finally, the skills acquired are considered very useful for their training and are frequently applied by the students themselves in academic projects. In conclusion, TikTok and Instagram shape language and identity, defining themselves as valuable spaces for creativity and the development of professional competencies.Item Análisis del periodismo móvil como una nueva forma emergente de hacer periodismo en el diario El Mercurio(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-11-10) Maldonado Yanza, Daysi Carolina; Quituisaca Loja, Estefanía Carolina; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThis paper analyzes the use of mobile journalism in the traditional media printed daily El Mercurio, to discover how they adapt and incorporate the new forms of do journalism The challenge for the medium is to maintain its philosophy, but at the same time grow with the new technology updates. For El Mercurio, its reporters and editors need you to establish work mechanisms to meet the demand of your audience, which is increasingly more digital. Through the use of qualitative methodology, five reporters give their experience, how they turned mobile reporting into a development tool journalistic both personally and for the media. The results show what the means through the cell phone incorporating new techniques for its growth.Item Análisis del tratamiento informativo realizados por los diarios El Mercurio y El Comercio a la noticia sobre el caso de femicidio de Cristina Palacio(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-03-31) Matute Novillo, Diana Verónica; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThe role of the media is of vital importance to society, which is why actions regarding the presentation and / or dissemination of information is a commitment that must always correspond to the principles and criteria of journalistic ethics. The purpose of this research is to analyze the informative treatment given by the media El Mercurio and El Comercio to the news about Cristina Palacio's femicide case. In order to determine whether there was a sensational approach or not in the construction of the news. Therefore, the analysis units on the case of Cristina Palacio's femicide were studied from two newspapers in the country. El Mercurio was chosen as a local medium, while El Comercio was a national newspaper. The review of the analysis units was carried out systematically, gathering research information, following a timeline of each of the publications, from its first to the last news presented on the fact. The content analysis methodology was used to describe the news treatment that the written press gave it. And as a result, it was obtained that the media analyzed in this work did not give much importance to the case of Cristina Palacio's femicide, but on the contrary, at all times it was tried to attract the attention of the readers using a sensationalist and yellowish language.Item Análisis semiótico y comunicacional de las campañas publicitarias en la revista Marie Claire desde el año 2018 al 2021: problemas sociales(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-11-07) Quito Bueno, Julissa Camila; Ortiz Viejó, Luz María; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThe present research project was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the semiotic communicational characteristics of advertising campaigns focused on social problems and created by the magazine of European origin, Marie Claire, between the years 2018 and 2021. Using a qualitative methodology, in conjunction with a descriptive study and non-probabilistic convenience sampling, the units of analysis were selected, in addition to a series of aspects that were studied and measured independently. The Semiotic Communicational Model created by Roland Barthes was applied to the two social campaigns, "Stop the Violence" (2019) and "Sex(ism) Doesn't Sell" (2020); they were randomly chosen for the research and present ten advertisements that reflect common problems in society, such as domestic violence, machismo, gender roles and stereotypes. For the application of Barthes' model, interpretation tables were prepared, where the components that make up the individual structure of the advertisements (campaign, title or slogan, description, icon, graphic, sender, receiver, relevant socio-historical context, visual signifier, meaning, linguistic message, literal iconic, symbolic iconic and global) are broken down. After the description of their semiotic and communicative characteristics, it was possible to interpret and obtain the aspects in common between the visual structures of the two campaigns as well as the global meaning of their messages.Item Diagnóstico de las estrategias comunicacionales del proyecto Kuya Llacta para incrementar los usuarios de comunicación intercultural en Caguanapamba, cantón el Tambo, Ecuador(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-09-26) Llerena Escandón, Nicole Liliana; Cevallos Rodríguez, Samantha Micaela; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoCommunity Tourism Centers require communication strategies to expand their impact on the number of visitors, especially when relating to the cultural and natural wealth of Ecuador. However, certain community tourism projects are limited by deficiencies in the management of communication, lack of communication strategies and usually generate empirical promotion mechanisms based on the creation of accounts in social networks. Consequently, this study seeks to define in a qualitative and quantitative way the communication strategies that the community tourism project Kuya Llacta requires to increase users. It highlights exploratory research based on surveys to analyze the perception and requirements of the organization, consumers and potential consumers of the project. The results indicate that the project does not have communication mechanisms, and only the information is disseminated by word of mouth and on a smaller scale by partner travel agencies. In conclusion, seven communication strategies are proposed based on legal aspects, brand identity, participation in events and other actions that impact the communication structure.Item El rap de Canserbero como discurso político de resistencia social(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-01-09) Vázquez González, Ricardo Sebastián; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoIn today's society there is an interest, on the part of the power apparatus, to govern the human being. However, there is also a genuine concern in the governed about not being managed. In this sense, the search for strategies to exercise resistance is necessary. This is not an easy task, but there is the possibility that the subject finds in a small fold of the oppressive discourse the opportunity to resist and command from himself and for himself his thoughts, behavior and actions. Social resistance can manifest itself in multiple areas and music, being an artistic tool, helps to manifest social resistance. This study seeks to investigate the characteristics of the political discourse of the song compilation performed by Tyrone José González (Canserbero) using critical discourse analysis. Verify the semantics used that influence the discourse of resistance and analyze the political discourse of the compilation by Tyrone José González (Canserbero) made up of 6 corpus of the artist's different albums. The Critical Discourse Analysis methodology was used to determine the existence or appeal of social resistance. Therefore, a dominant category can be defined: Social Resistance itself, which refers to a semantic relationship between the listener and the artist. As a result, the rulers make use of Facebook and Twitter to publicize their management and everything that is developed during their period of government. This research aims to address the issue of the type of content most frequently published on the Facebook and Twitter accounts of the President of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso. In addition, how the administration of the president is perceived by the students of the Communication career at the University of Cuenca. This organization provides processes, products and services to the citizens of the different cantons, as well as establishes guidelines and strategies to reduce inequality in the urban and rural sector. It has fifteen directorates, three coordination’s, an administration secretary, a syndicate, and a general secretary, each of which are essential to carry forward the institution. This research focuses on the importance of the role of communication and internal communication strategies to strengthen the corporate identity of the Provincial Government of Azuay. The objective of this research is to analyze the role of communication and the correct internal communication strategies that serve to strengthen the corporate identity of the Provincial Government of Azuay. Among the conclusions, it can be highlighted that there is a good role of communication, however, there are a percentage of shortcomings within the internal strategies which make the messages unclear and concise. Communication in the institution is a key tool for institutional development and productivity. It also influences the corporate identity of the employees who play a fundamental role in the growth of the institution. However, the use of this in a culture can generate a drastic change in cultural elements of individuals. From there arises the motivation for the development of this work where the incidence of the TikTok social network in the presidential elections of Ecuador in 2021 will be analyzed, specifically in the second electoral round in which the candidates Andrés Arauz and Guillermo Lasso participated. Who happened to be elected president? In the development of the work, the figures reached by the publications of each candidate will be analyzed, as well as a comparative study against their contender. With the information collected, the audiovisual report itself will be carried out, which will be disseminated on social networks in order to make this organization known not only in the south but also outside of it.Item Violencia de género: análisis crítico del discurso en el femicidio de María Belén Bernal desde el periodismo(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-09-25) Vaca Sarango, Stefania Elizabeth; Vanegas Alvarado, Andrea Nicole; Samaniego Dumas, Diego OswaldoThe work focuses on unraveling the background of the discourse of the social actors involved in the femicide case of María Belén Bernal. Unlike other studies that use quantitative methods such as Content Analysis, this work is based on the qualitative approach of Critical Discourse Analysis proposed by Teun Van Dijk. The results reveal three main points: first, the authorities recognize in their speeches th e existence of a macho society in Ecuador; second, feelings and emotions play a crucial role in the construction of the discourse, establishing an emotional bond with the audience; and third, each author seeks justice for others or seeks to justify their own actions through their speeches. In conclusion, this work highlights the importance of building discourses with a gender and human rights approach, providing valuable knowledge to understand social dynamics and promote gender equity. The findings have theoretical and practical implications, providing a solid foundation for future research in the fields of gender and discourse analysis.
