Item Ideación suicida en adultos drogodependientes del Centro de Rehabilitación 12 Pasos en Cuenca-Ecuador en marzo-agosto 2022(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-02-23) Álvarez Yuquilema, María José; Lima Castro, Sandra EugeniaSuicidal ideation can be defined as a set of thoughts about wanting to take one's own life, which could trigger destructive intentions or the consummation of such thoughts. People with a substance use disorder have a high probability of suffering from suicidal ideation due to a series of difficulties they experience, among them: emotional self-regulation, low tolerance to frustration and hopelessness. For this reason, the objective of this research was to describe suicidal ideation in drug-dependent users of the rehabilitation center CETAD 12 Pasos. The population that participated in this research consisted of 32 users of CETAD 12 Pasos, to whom the Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale adapted by Bobadilla (2004) was applied. A descriptive analysis was performed. The most relevant results obtained were that 56.6% of the population had a medium level of suicidal ideation; the highest percentage of suicidal ideation was found in young adults between 18 and 34 years of age; and in terms of sex, women obtained higher scores of suicidal ideation compared to men.
