Item Integración de los inversores Sunny Island y Ampere Square`s al sistema Scada del laboratorio de Micro-red de la Universidad de Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-08-28) Araujo Ochoa, Santiago Ismael; Tigre Quituizaca, Joe Fernando; Astudillo Salinas, Darwin FabiánCurrently, renewable energy systems provide the opportunity to harness resources such as solar radiation. Operators need to have information to achieve efficient management of devices and systems that generate energy using these types of resources. Therefore, to have this information, monitoring these devices in both industrial and residential environments is important. A commonly used platform for this purpose is known as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). In this context, the objective of this work was to integrate the Sunny Island and Ampere Square inverters into the existing SCADA monitoring system in the Microgrid laboratory at the University of Cuenca. In the case of the Sunny Island inverter, as it does not have a built-in Modbus server, a Gateway was developed to integrate this server and a communication system that allows reading and writing information from the inverter using the SMA Data protocol. This way, the SCADA system designed for this inverter can read the data from the Gateway. As for the Ampere Square inverter, since it already has a Modbus TCP communication interface, it was directly integrated into the SCADA system. Validation of the obtained data was carried out in comparison with the real information displayed by each inverter. The results confirmed that each inverter’s integration into the Microgrid laboratory’s SCADA system at the University of Cuenca was successfully achieved.
