Item Elaboración de un manual de procesos para el departamento de producción de la empresa Gráficas y Suministros Grafisum Cía. Ltda.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-08-19) Espinoza Guamán, Richard Gabriel; Alvear Alvear, Oscar PatricioThe production department of the company Gráficas y Suministros Grafisum, has not defined the business processes to perform internal activities, so these are performed empirically, without a specific order and omitting important steps or tasks in each process. This problem has existed since the company started operations, generating communication problems, lack of coordination among its collaborators, inefficiencies in daily production, defective work, and material waste. Consequently, this degree project proposes the development of a process manual for the production department of the company, to reduce the errors and problems diagnosed in each of the procedures involved in this area of the organization. The development of this integrative project includes four chapters that encompass all the topics to be developed. The first chapter includes the background of the work and general information about the company. In the second chapter, a bibliographic review is carried out to elaborate a theoretical framework with information regarding BPM Methodology, BPMN Notation, and Process Manuals. The third chapter is based on the explanation of the methods and techniques used in this project for the information gathering and elaboration of the process manual. The fourth chapter shows the development of the work, obtaining as main result the elaboration of the process manual for the production department of the company. Finally, the fifth chapter summarizes the conclusions and recommendations of the study.Item Propuesta de actualización y digitalización del proceso de pagos, aplicado a la Intendencia de Contabilidad de la Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur C.A.(Universidad de Cuenca. Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, 2025-10-02) Muso Vega, Jordan Patricio; Vivar Peñafiel, Daniela Paola; Alvear Alvear, Oscar PatricioThis integrative project aims to update and digitize the payment process of the Accounting Department of Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur C.A., through the design of a comprehensive proposal aimed at its modernization and subsequent digital transformation, framed within a technical evaluation of the current internal control system. The study will begin with an analysis of various operational issues that hinder process efficiency, such as staff workload and the absence of technological tools for document validation. To overcome these limitations, the application of the Business Process Management (BPM) methodology will be proposed, supported by the Bizagi tool. This approach will enable the modeling and structuring of workflows, strengthen information traceability, and ensure regulatory compliance within the public sector context. Furthermore, a pilot evaluation of the entity’s internal control system will be carried out to allow a deeper analysis and to identify specific opportunities for improvement.Item Propuesta de estandarización del proceso productivo de brownies y trufas en la empresa Dulco Dulce Compañía Cía. Ltda.(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-09-29) Bernal Aucapiña, Jessenia de los Ángeles; Sarango Armijos, Nancy Lizbeth; Alvear Alvear, Oscar PatricioDulco Dulce faces variability in quality, timing, and efficiency due to a lack of standardized processes. The purpose of this research was to propose a standardization of the production process for brownies and truffles at Dulco Dulce Compañía CA. Ltda., implementing Business Process Management (BPM) techniques and process modeling tools. To this end, a time study, direct observation, and interviews with production staff were used to collect information on the processes. This revealed bottlenecks in cooling and baking. The diagnosis identified the cooling and baking of brownies as the main bottlenecks, affecting the continuity of the process. Standardization and automation through BPMN are proposed, optimizing critical phases and reducing production times by 25% to 30%, improving efficiency, quality, and response to demand. Performance indicators were proposed to evaluate efficiency, downtime, defects, production compliance, and variability in key processes. Monitoring these indicators will ensure sustainable improvements in time, cost, and quality.Item Propuesta de manual de procesos para el departamento de producción de hacienda cucaracha, dentro del periodo 2020-2021, basado en la metodología BPM (Business Process Management)(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-10-13) Coronel Solís, Celso David; Alvear Alvear, Oscar PatricioThe Production Department of Hacienda Cucaracha has a problem caused by poor performance of activities by workers in the area. Unfortunately, this problem has been an issue for several years and no alternatives have been proposed to correct it. For this reason, this work raises the proposal of a Process Manual, based on the BPM Methodology (Business Process Management) to establish an operational guide, where all the activities, policies, documents, instructions and those responsible for the execution of the different production processes. In this way, prevent workers from continuing to make mistakes due to ignorance of any of the aforementioned topics. In this project, the objectives are first established that will allow setting the path to where you want to go, to solve the problem. Subsequently, in order to have the necessary knowledge of the subject to be discussed, a bibliographic research was carried out; which serves as the basis to constitute the theoretical framework. For this section, aspects related to Process Manuals and the BPM Methodology were mainly considered. Third, as a research and information gathering method, the BPM Methodology was used, with it the competent processes for animal production were raised, managing to identify shortcomings and their alternative solutions. Finally, based on the results obtained, the proposal for the Process Manual for the Production Department of Hacienda Cucaracha was prepared.Item Propuesta de manual de procesos para las Unidades de Presupuesto, Contabilidad, Tesorería y Control Interno de la Dirección Financiera de la Universidad de Cuenca con base en la metodología Business Process Management(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-07-31) Pineda Carrión, Kevin Eduardo; Alvear Alvear, Oscar PatricioUniversities are structured as organizations that develop within a complex social environment, whose relationship is transversal both internally and externally, i.e. the elements that integrate it interact, change and adjust to the needs of other elements so that the whole system works together. In this sense, the University of Cuenca must continuously evaluate its performance and identify the areas that require improvement based on strategic objectives. To this end, the present work proposes a process manual for the Financial Management that follows three phases. The first consists of characterizing the processes and the macro-process based on unstructured interviews applied to the collaborators of this area, information recorded by means of characterization sheets with their respective objectives, scope, inputs and outputs of each process. The next stage involves detailing the processes and sub-processes through mapping and standardization. Finally, the Bizagi tool is used for process modeling and compliance with the BPM nomenclature. The financial management macro-process is thus established, consisting of 52 processes and sub-processes framed in budget, treasury and accounting management.
