    El idioma del sur, situando al cine latinoamericano

    This work presents a theoretical study about the development process of Latin American cinema starting with the groups of the New Latin American Cinema of the sixties and seventies up to undertake a study of the Newest Latin American Cinema, based on Galo Alfredo Torres’ thesis: “Héroes Menores. Neorrealismo Cotidiano y Cine Latinoamericano Contemporáneo de Entresiglos,” with the goal that it becomes a guide to understand the daily neorealist filmic current and to reach a coherent appropriation of language and narrative to implement it in the development of the footage “Tienda” produced by students of the School of Cinema of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Cuenca. Within all this context, we will carry out a study of the Italian Neorealism, current that became a direct influence for Latin American cinemas from the sixties to the present, finding areas of resonance and certain coincidences in several films belonging to these cinematography. Finally, we will do a self-reflexive analysis about the film “Tienda” where we will address its process of narrative and aesthetic appropriation expecting that this footage gets integrated into the daily neorealism.
